A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 12: Living In Falsehood - 2

Seriana took Rion into a room first before going to the field for the rehearsal discussed earlier.

“Put your hand on the stone slab,” order Seriana.

Rion nodded obediently, then stepped in without the slightest delay. Seen a stone slab which is a capacity measuring device where it is located on the table, for its own kind Rion knows that this is a type that can measure where up to 1,000,000 capacity, which is a kind of, including a high level.

The method of this tool works as a gauge itself can be said to be still rough, this tool will serve as a container to absorb mana and if too much mana is accommodated then the container will be destroyed.

Has a function to determine the level of power of the user, this tool is quite expensive for ordinary people.

For the division of power levels, according to the information put into Rion's own head, namely:

Ordinary people, who do not process its power, usually have a capacity of mana <1000.

Bronze level, has >1,000 – 10,000 mana capacity, consists of ten tiers in it.

Silver level, has >10,000 – 100,000 mana capacity, consists of ten levels in it.

Gold level, has >100,000 – 1,000,000 mana capacity, consists of ten levels in it.

The platinum level, having a capacity of mana >1,000,000, is often referred to as a master in the power system it draws.

People still believe there is a stage above platinum but for the general public itself has no way of knowing it and measuring it. Even the highest measuring instruments can only reach the measuring point of approximately 6,000,000 mana capacity.

Rion's hand touched the stone slab and he could feel that the mana in his body was flowing onto the stone slab.

The slab began to react, giving off a bright red light, which began to propagate from one end to the other.

Seriana watched this attentively, while hiding the enthusiasm within her so that it could not be seen from her expression. However, that hope turned into disappointment.

It is seen that the measuring instrument shows that Rion has a capacity of 200,000 mana, although it can be said to be large, but still far from his expectations.

Given all the gold Seriana spent on Rion's research project. Seriana had little hope that Rion could reach the platinum stage even if it was the lowest point.

Hiding all that, he said, “Let's go to your training.”

“Good, Miss.”

Rion was still acting as usual while trying to hide his mental fatigue, as his mana started flowing onto the stone slab, he was desperately trying to block the flow of energy in his body.

As a parable, the energy in Rion's body was originally in the form of a gas that could fill the container. However, Rion tried to convert the gas into a liquid form even solid, so it was only able to fill a little space in the container. So even though the capacity is different, but in terms of strength more or less the same.

Conscious of his relief from being able to not attract much attention, Rion had arrived at the rear court of the castle.

“Nona, is he the person you were referring to earlier?” ask a knight captain who has been standing in the middle of the field

Seriana nodded slowly in response. Staring at the knight captain, Seriana said, “Marco train him as hard as possible. I'm sure no matter how you treat him he'll be able to survive.”

“Are you sure, Miss?”

“I won't say anything I'm not sure of,” insists Seriana. Staring at Rion, he said, “Also you can handle this kind of thing, right?”

“Of course,” said Rion while nodding without delay.

Finding that there was no doubt at all in Rion's tone, Marco accepted his duty and promised himself to provide the training Seriana had requested.

‘It seems I've underestimated this young man,” Marco thought.

With Rion having taken the horses that had been exemplified before, Marco also began the early stages of his training.

“Ha!” Without a meaningful step, a powerful blow was struck by Marco.

The punch struck Rion's body, though his body was stronger. However, Rion staggered backwards.

“Strong your horses! This is the base, and the base is the most important!”

Repeating his attitude, Rion again faced with Marco's attack.

The sound of ‘groaning’ filled the field, Rion had unilaterally beaten Marco to reinforce the basis of everything that would later be learned.

Seriana watched for a moment before turning her body around, although the previous results were far from her expectations. However, he was convinced that even the best metal had to be in place first before showing its quality.

Marco and Rion are still on the pitch. Throughout the day they do the exercises until the sun will soon return to the horizon.

Rion's body looks full of blisters, although it soon heals. Now that he had held the wooden sword in his hand, clashing blows with Marco while simultaneously teaching Rion the sword foundation before stepping into the battle technique training stage.

Feeling that the day has dissolved, Marco said, “We end training today.”

Rion nodded before turning his body, he walked in the predetermined direction according to the information put into his head.

Being beside Seriana until she fell asleep, free time for Rion finally came. Rion walked through the castle area around the castle for a moment before heading to the library, spending time there, he started to read as much as he could in his free time.

Days passed and Rion did some other exercises. In addition to sword training with Marco, Rion also practiced magic alternately with sword training. While at night he accompanied Seriana before going to the library to multiply the amount of information he had.

Having five years of experience without rest, even though only his state of mind made Rion not feel too tired. However, with a physically active he should rest at least four days.

Life with a similar schedule keeps Rion doing. There were not many other routines that Rion did other than the things that had been scheduled in his mind except visiting the library as well as surrounding the fort to try to memorize the structure. Even if anyone heard this then Rion would be laughed at given how complicated the structure of this fortress was.

The attention placed on Rion was even lessened, as he did not show any dazzling talent at his training. Although the results of training can be said to be good, but nothing more. Also with the amount of capacity Rion himself did not increase much, only reaching the point of 300,000, the interest in him was minimal.

For Seriana who has poured funds of more than one million gold pieces —remember one piece of gold enough to meet the needs of small families in big cities for a month— this result is certainly disappointing.

The day changed and a new moon was present. Along with the routine that Rion had done, three months had passed.
