After dragging the poor soldier into a security post, Rion begins to strip the armor and weapons the soldier was wearing.
“Thank God, you are not on the list of people I want to kill,” muttered Rion calmly.
Glancing out to check the situation, Rion started wearing a helmet to cover his face so as not to be quickly recognized.
Rion walked as usual, neither rushing nor sneaking around as if nothing was bothering him. As he passed by several other guards, Rion tried to maintain his composure and reacted as necessary to prevent suspicion.
As his position got closer to the laboratory, Rion began to hide his presence.
Upon seeing the patrol had passed, Rion took off the armor and helmet he was wearing, knowing these things would only hinder him.
Rion made sure of the surroundings for the last time. Seeing the quiet situation given the current situation, as well as the location of this laboratory itself which is quite secret even most of the soldiers themselves are not aware of the existence of underground laboratories in this fort. Looking for a moment, Rion pressed against one side of the wall making a path to the bottom open.
Rion began to enter the open road sluggishly. Re-entering this place, he slightly held his breath, this place was indeed the worst for him.
The care in the laboratory itself is usually loose because this place uses the secrecy and security of the fort as its main protector. Even so, this condition did not make Rion lower his guard even a little.
From behind the shadow of the experiment tubes wrapped in dim light, Rion tried to get closer to a room where the researchers gathered, both to discuss the data obtained and just to relax.
With a laboratory area of more than a quarter of the fortress area, Rion had to maintain calm as long as possible because the location of the room he was heading to was the other end of this side.
The doors separating the rooms were opened one by one, by Rion without much noise. It continued like that until his steps suddenly came to a halt as a roaring roar rang out.
Staring into a room where the voice came from, Rion tried to see what was inside, and he was instantly unable to hold back the look of disgust that was plastered on his face.
It seems that some people are making a woman as their toy that is either still alive or not. Rion felt disgusted as well as angry, this reminded him of what used to be his reason for holding a grudge.
Without much more time, Rion broke down the door in front of him.
“Who are you!” one of the researchers shouted as he realized a stranger was entering.
“Hmm ... Who me? What if you call me your nightmare?!” Without further ado, Rion directly attacked one of the nearby researchers with a crushing blow to the head that caused him to die instantly.
“P-guard! Attack that guy!”
The researchers were unable to contain their fears, leading one of them to call a guard who was a witch to protect them.
The reason they didn't attack right away was because most of the researchers here were magic scholars, not magicians. A magic scholar has a deeper understanding of magic, but cannot use it practically.
Dozens of witches began to surround Rion, while releasing magic one by one. Successfully avoiding most of the witch attacks, Rion laughed softly, “Hihihi ... It's better, I can try it.”
Along with the magic that kept on releasing, Rion started to take a stance with the sword in his right hand.
“Magic Grail.”
The dozens of magic that were pointing at him began to be attracted to the sword in Rion's hand as if water were entering a container.
An energy storm rages within the room, suggesting a violent explosion that makes Rion's plans have to change completely.
If this was just an ordinary sword fragment then it wouldn't have come to this. In each fragment of the sword contains magic power directed at the previous Rion.
Rion, unable to practice magic or battle techniques while in surveillance. Therefore, Rion does spiritual strength training that is more subtle and difficult to detect than other types of training.
However, blood was seen flowing at the corner of Rion's lips. This was because he did not master it perfectly, besides that his stamina had been consumed quite a lot.
Not wanting to waste any time since he must have attracted attention, Rion turned his gaze toward the researchers who were now curled into a corner of the room, taking refuge from Rion's previous attack.
“H-Hiii!” the screams of the researcher who saw Rion were getting closer to where they were.
Seeing the dozens of magicians whose incomplete bodies were even killed, and the floor that was covered in blood. Together with a roar that could still be heard clearly, an emotionless cold voice sounded.
“Who wants to die first?”
Powerless to hold back the fear in his heart, a researcher tries to run away but Rion will not let him.
Zratts
Blood splashed onto the walls and floor, along with the head of the researcher who was rolling slowly after being separated from his body.
Rion's expression was still the same as before, not having any changes. Maybe it's because he's forgotten how to express his feelings, or maybe he feels that they deserve it.
The researchers were increasingly clinging to each other to overcome their fears, just as birds with similar feathers would gather.
Rion's eyes examined who was in front of him one by one, although there were several new faces. However, most of these researchers are the same people as they were five years ago.
But with one man he couldn't find. Rion asked, “My answer if you want forgiveness, where is Nave?”
“D-he went to the Empire,” replied one of the researchers immediately.
However, Rion swung his hand that was layered with wind magic, slashing neatly into the researcher's neck without a shout and without pain. This is a form of forgiveness that is more than enough according to him, however their actions will not be able to forgive him.
The faces of the surviving researchers were deathly pale as if blood had dried from their bodies, in their minds thinking only one thing. ‘We will die! This guy won't let any of us live.’
Pulling one of the researchers forcibly, Rion began to throw punches and kicks at the researcher. This was not because Rion was consumed with emotion or anything, but he wanted to strengthen the basis of the battle techniques he mastered because during training with Marco, he was as restrained as possible.
As Marco once taught him, basics are paramount. However, this matter had to be tampered with when a magic attack suddenly came at him.
Avoiding the attack, Rion did not forget to clean up the rest of his work, making the fishy smell even more thick in this place.
“Hahh .. I really shouldn't be impulsive,” muttered Rion as he looked at the dozens of guards who had come due to the previous commotion.
