A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero

A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 4: Disaster Presence - 1

More than a month has passed since the destruction of Rion's hometown.

A simple hut with twigs and tree branches with a dry foliage roof is what is now Rion's residence.

Rion had thought of looking for a cave for where he lived, but with a sloping forest. And Rion who prefers to stay away from the cave where he came here because there is a possibility that he was reunited with the human forces that destroyed his village, he gave up on the idea.

If only Rion could use wind or wood magic, perhaps he had made a house similar to what he used to be. The house of a tree with a spacious room formed in it, was more or less like a bird house. However, since he could not use any magic other than healing magic that he did not even master well, it was just wishful thinking.

"I'm home."

The stifling silence welcomed Rion, even though he knew no one would answer him, this habit was still hard to let go of. Rion felt there would be a shadow of her mother welcoming her back as she said this.

A white fox was seen slumbering lazily in one corner of the hut, the fox opened its eyes slightly to see who came before closing it back once it knew it was Rion.

Although when found the fox continued to rebel to injure Rion with scratches and bites that he did, after he gave him healing magic the fox was calm as if understanding what Rion was trying to do.

Rion's healing magic was weak, extremely weak, and hence he had to continue to provide healing to the fox continuously like a madman for more than three weeks. Even so Rion did not mind, with the presence of this fox he was not too lonely as before.

Putting the fruit in one corner, Rion thrust the fish he caught into the fox.

"Eat a lot, yeah. Little Fox," Rion's pint at the fox.

Finished saying so Rion chose to walk out before sitting in the same place, that is, under the shadyest tree in between, he looked at the sky which was now about to be dark.

Although it had been a month since the disaster, Rion was still unable to move from the tangled mood. In this time he rarely ate anything other than a few fruits that numbered no more than five, away from the portion of his meal before the disaster occurred.

The light has now disappeared from the sky, replaced by the darkness of the night. However, this atmosphere was better for Rion.

"Fou," a familiar voice sounded right beside Rion. It seemed that the Little Fox was carrying fruit in its mouth to give to Rion.

Rion stroked the head of the Little Fox, with a smile. He said, "Thank you Little Fox. If you don't exist, I'll probably feel even more lonely."

"Fou, Fou!" sahut the fox who seemed to understand Rion's intentions. However, the view of the Little Fox immediately turned cloudy, a sight that worried something.

Rising from his seat, Rion held the Little Fox in his lap.

"Let's go back. The sky was cloudy, I also started to get sleepy," Rion said with some lies.

The fact since the incident he was unable to sleep well, making him ignore the feeling of drowsiness that hit. For every time Rion closed his eyes, the same scene was always played back before him. The scenery where his village was destroyed, the scenery where his mother was killed, the view of how weak he was....

Laying down his body, Rion hugged the Little Fox even tighter. Adhere to his drowsiness, prepare yourself for the view of hell.

Rion began to fall asleep, the look on his face showing extreme pain as cold sweat began to drench his body.

The Little Fox observed all of that in silence. The fox itself only found Rion asleep no more than six times and always ended up with this kind of condition, leaving him a little confused.

The Little Fox's eyes suddenly turned sharp. Releasing himself from Rion's embrace easily, the fox looked in a direction, the place where the Little Fox's changing attitude came from.

Looking to see Rion who was like he was holding back the pain, the Little Fox hung his head helplessly. Before running in the direction in question.

The morning came, along with the rising sun.

Rion who had been awake since before morning came was seen pacing around the hut. "Where did the Little Fox go, huh?"

When Rion woke up, he discovered that the Little Fox had been nowhere next to him. Although for the past two weeks since the fox was able to move he occasionally disappeared, but the fox never disappeared at night, hence Rion was a little worried.

'Maybe Little Fox is back with her family,' Rion thought calming herself down.

A strange fog suddenly appeared, as Rion inhaled the mist, he started to feel dizzy. Realizing that there was something strange about this fog, Rion tried to hold his breath.

Before long, two people were walking quickly towards Rion.

"Really! The goddess of fortune is siding with us!"

Rion tried to keep his gaze awake, when he heard the conversation the two people had.

'If I get caught here mom's effort will be free!' think Rion.

He tried to neutralize the effects of the poison on his body with his healing magic. Although useless because the effects of Rion's magic are very weak, but he continues to try to keep his consciousness from being caught.

Rion threw a stone to distract the person in front of him. Feeling that his attention was a little distracted, Rion immediately ran away.

"Well! Does he think we'll be fooled by such cheap tricks! Bram catch him before he runs away."

"Haha. Take it easy, Nature, even if she runs away I won't let her go!" bram shouted the man dressed as a witch.

"Ice Splash."

Some marble-sized ice crystals were formed, the crystals spreading with the cold that began to propagate in the direction pointed by Bram.

Rion's steps felt heavy, plus the effect of the poison in the fog that was still on him, making Rion's body slower.

"Alane! Now catch the creature!"

"Huh! It's an easy job!"

Alan started running by brandishing his sword at Rion, with the aim of giving a feeling of oppression to him.

Rion who was almost at the limit of his consciousness tried, dodging the sword aimed at the back of his head. With his current state even if it was only a blunt part of the sword, but if he would lose consciousness given his current state.

Enraged that his slash could be avoided by Rion under conditions that were actually impossible for people with similar conditions, Alan released a technique.

"Split Slash."

A powerful slash hit Rion's back, knocking him unconscious with a wide incision wound on his back.

"Ah, Alan if it's like this, we won't profit much!"

Alan snorted at Bram, then replied, "Let's just give this creature healing magic so it's not bad. The problem is over."

"It's not like that, healing magic eats up a lot of mana tofu."

Alan looked at Bram sharply, as if he would slice it at any time if he tried to speak once more.

Bram scratched his head, wanting to tease Alan further but seeing Alan's gaze, he was a little daunted. Even if you fight rough it can be ascertained Bram win. But with this close distance if Alan really wants to cut it, then Bram is certainly dead.

Seeing the condition of Rion whose skin was getting pale with blood continuing to come out of his wound, Bram immediately gave Rion healing magic.

Carrying Rion on his shoulder, Alan shouted loudly, "This way we'll drink as much as we can tonight."

"Hahahaha," A laugh came out from the mouths of the two.

They left the place, intending to drink as much as possible after returning to the city with the money they would get without knowing the danger they were carrying.

As the night curtain descended, Little Fox returned to the hut where she used to live this month in a state full of wounds. If Rion saw the state of the Little Fox now, perhaps he would perform healing magic crazily like before.

The Little Fox was sculpting, seeing the place was now ravaged, with the former fighting looking one-sided without a fight.

Seeing the blood splashing not far from where it was, the surrounding temperature started to cool down rapidly, forming ice dew nearby.

Walking closer, the Little Fox sniffed the smell around it. Knowing the two strangers who were likely to kidnap Rion, the Little Fox looked at the direction the people were taking.

The Little Fox walked down the path, leaving behind an ice trail along the path it passed.
