A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 13: Living In Falsehood - 3

Within the field of battle, the sound of swords clashing filled the surroundings.

“Weak! Stronger still!” marco snapped at Rion who was doing the exercise as usual.

It has been three months since Rion left the lab and pretended to be a puppet to Seriana. After Seriana's attention to herself was reduced, now Rion had a lot of time to spend in the library, even though it was only accessing ordinary places, for the door of the special area was still tightly closed to him.

However, with his memory ability that does not forget anything he has seen —Perfect Memory— and analytical skills that develop horribly, Rion can get more understanding than what is written.

Rion read all kinds of books, ranging from those containing everything about power systems namely battle techniques, magic spells, ability development, as well as spiritual power. Until other things such as the production of various types of tools and drugs that are considered necessary to know.

Along with all the information that has been collected at this time, Rion felt the need to know who was the culprit for his suffering.

The continent of Sylilus where the humans came from had five great countries namely, the Holy Kingdom of Celestia, Eugary Empire, Reutania Kingdom, Marina Kingdom, and the Satific Republic, respectively, as well as some small countries that spread among the five big countries.

The existence of monsters, demi-humans, as well as demon beasts themselves were already known in the Sylilus Continent. However, the demi-humans there became a minority and were often made slaves. However, the behavior itself did not change even after they reached this continent.

When some sailors discovered the Zestia Continent accidentally because of a storm, the sailors then told this to the kingdom to get gold coffers.

Eugary Empire, the largest and most ambitious of all the other countries was the first party to initiate an attack on the Zestia Continent after this information was known. The distance between these two continents itself can be said to be quite close, especially Eugary Empire has land in the southern part of the Sylius Continent that can be used as a base, and eventually used as a fixed base for their expedition team.

Apart from the Eugary Empire, Reutania Kingdom and Marina Kingdom also participated in the attack on the Zestia Continent afterwards.

However, after the countries in the Zestia Continent namely Beatria Union, Synuere Forest State, and Dewar Kingdom, realized something was wrong with the destruction of their villages one by one. They also made investments until they finally learned of the invasion of foreigners, so their resistance began to cause the current situation that can be said the troops of the human state was desperate.

Forcing the Eugary Empire on the front lines to conduct research to create a powerful army on a large scale and quickly, to assist in the attack.

Knowing this, Rion felt a little heavy. However, it did not dampen his desire for revenge in the slightest.

Rion was touring the castle at the moment. The attitude of the guards who chose not to pay too much attention to him because he had seen Rion with Seriana, and considered that he had a special standing in this place.

It was this ease that came knocking on the door that made him now recall the entire structure of the fort that he did not have among the few pieces of information put to his head. Although the information put on his head was quite useful to him at the moment, but most likely they only gave Rion general information on anything that was necessary.

Turning right, Rion had reached his destination. His arrival did not attract too much attention and without wasting time, he placed himself on the right side of Seriana.

The time that passed felt so slow that finally the sound of knocking sounded. With the permission given, Marco entered the room and immediately knelt while facing Seriana.

“I came to request Miss.”'s approval

There was no interest in Seriana's eyes, she had known what Marco would talk to her about. “Are you really sure of Marco?”

“I'm sure Miss, however that area is needed by us. Especially since the destruction of Maves.” City

“So valuable is that area in your eyes? To me it was nothing more than the same land as the others.”

Marco calculated meticulously in his head, not daring to answer immediately knowing this could be the determinant of whether his proposed proposal would be accepted.

“If I am given the confidence to mobilize 60% troops in the fortress, I am confident to master it after 2-3 days Miss.”

Seeing that Marco's unanimous decision was accompanied by a mature calculation, Seriana nodded.

Witnessing this all, the current inner Rion rejoiced. Seeing that most of the troops in this fort will attack the area immediately.

In this period of time, Rion's entire preparation had also been completed. He now had the necessary amount of information, as well as the minimum strength to be able to fight back.

However, Rion had no way of dealing with the large number of troops, and that was the problem.

Although he already understood how to do magic which in fact is a common way of facing a large number of troops from books and training routines. However, if he did the magic training in question then it would attract unwanted attention. With this attack, the biggest problem is automatically lost.

Coupled with his meager attention, this made the condition perfect for his escape.

Two days later, a formal ceremony was held to send troops led by Marco. Starting from a small greeting, greetings to Goddess Carea —God of the main beliefs in the Sylius— Continent and imperial ancestors, to nonsense about human supremacy that certainly makes Rion's blood boil.

“Nona, we will bring victory to the war tomorrow,” said Marco before leaving for Seriana.

Without much visible expression, Seriana replied in a flat tone. “Go.”

“Ya!”

The ceremony was over and a row of troops along with gallant war horses went to the battlefield.

Rion himself had resigned first, adjusting his plan to the limited time he had.

Conditions inside the fort are now quiet, although missions and attacks are routinely carried out. However, attacks on such a large scale today are extremely rare.

The security posts scattered in the fort are now only occupied by 1-2 people, following the direction of Demand the vice-captain of knights who temporarily took over the defense of the fort. Much different from before, each post is occupied by 4-5 people.

Rion walked as he had done for the past three months without drawing much attention. He turns, climbs and descends the stairs looking for a place that would have had the lowest security.

After a long walk down the hallway, Rion now walked towards another security post. The guard soldiers who used to see him like this let him pass without any suspicion. Seeing that the hallway was quite quiet, the distance to other security posts was quite far, as well as the intensity of patrols that were rarer than anywhere else, Rion chose this location to begin his plan.

With an indifferent attitude, the soldier let Rion through. Taking the opportunity, Rion slashed a blow at the soldier.

Thump!

A fist that came hitting the back of the soldier's head instantly rendered him unconscious.
