Demand's attack, [Eugary Spearmanship: 5th Style Conquer] quickly chased after Wess, leading to the opponent's head which was one of the vital points.
However, for a fraction of a second a thin fog that was even hard to see by the eyes suddenly enveloped, spreading around.
“Dews of Mist ...,” Spells that are cast out softly are caught faintly in the ear.
The explosion occurred when Demand's attack hit Wess' body, the sinking ground showing just how powerful the attack was. However, the body of the person he was fighting against soon became a fog shortly afterwards.
Demand was confused, he could not see where his opponent had gone. Increasing his alertness, he glanced to the right and to the left, combing through the view all over the place to find his opponent. However, he is unable to find Wess' mighty large body.
‘Illusion?’ thought Demand guessed what situation he was actually experiencing.
Demand closed her eyes as she tried to calm herself down. Together with that, the flow of mana within him slowed down to a halt as one way of being able to break free from the illusions that seemed to have affected him.
When Demand's eyes opened again, he turned his gaze to search for his opponent's whereabouts. After a while he discovers that Wess has been somewhere quite far from where he was originally.
Wess, who was in a state of blood covered by the wound that enveloped, was seen being carried by a black-haired young man.
The young man's body was seen still emitting a thin mist that spread to the surroundings, matching the fog that had inserted Demand into the illusion.
That young man, Rion used a basic technique to speed up his pace to successfully bring Wess who had approached the death line.
Wess shook his head as he finally regained his senses from the effect of the fog that the young man was exuding. However, he soon rebelled, trying to escape the young man's grip when he realized that the young man in front of him was completely unfamiliar.
However, Rion only glanced at Wess for a moment and then turned his gaze back to Demand who was starting to be free from the effects of fog.
Before the party that caused chaos in the fortress other than himself —Xion and his team— came, Rion had checked the situation at the main gate and the west gate. Realizing that the longer the time passed, the lower the chance he had of escaping, he began to prepare some things in the shadows.
Now Rion was done with his preparations and he saw the person fighting with Demand in danger.
Although Rion himself did not have any special sentiments to the two of them, both Demand who only knew him was often on Seriana's side, and Wess who he had just seen.
However, if Rion is told to choose who wants to help? Then he would choose Wess without hesitation, considering that the mess they caused earlier made him able to read books in a special area, at least he would repay the help they had unknowingly given him.
“Be calm or you will get hurt more, just think of it as a form of payment for what you do,” said Rion coldly emotionless when feeling Wess's behavior began to disturb him.
Wess looked at Rion upon hearing this, but she was completely unable to feel an emotion from the words that came out from the mouth of this young man who was carrying her. Wess's kudu feather stood up, realizing that in this young man's view the thing spoken had nothing to do with the person he was carrying.
Demand had been completely freed from the effects of the fog that the young man had emitted, staring intently at where his opponent was. He was trying to recognize the figure that took Wess away from death, when he saw the familiar face of Rion, shock filled his heart.
“K-you ...,” said Demand slightly stuttered when he saw Rion. Although he did not remember very clearly, he could tell that the young man in front of him was the one Seriana had noticed, and this was what stuck in his memory.
‘Wait! This person should be the one Miss Seriana was looking for after the chaos in the fortress happened right?’ demand asked himself as he began to understand the intent of their Miss who also ordered to capture Rion.
“Hmm?” Judging by the reaction Demand showed upon seeing her, Rion felt a little interested. ‘It looks like I was already suspected by Seriana.’
After saying so, Demand immediately charged towards Rion, no longer paying attention to the beast-kin that had become his opponent.
The spear in Demand's hand started to swing wildly, trying to get Rion cornered. However, the attack after attack that Demand had launched so far his opponent could avoid.
Although Rion himself had several attacks that incised wounds on his body. However, the wound itself was negligible given his pain tolerance, his regeneration speed, and for sure he was able to dodge the attack at a vital point.
Rion had long been accustomed to the movements of the knight captain, and Marco's movements were definitely faster and more deadly than Demand's movements had shown.
Although Rion himself fought with his bare hands and made him only defend and not actively attack. However, patience was what he relied on while looking forward to the gap Demand would make, and it was time for him to launch a counterattack.
A great clash ensued between the two, the soldiers subconsciously drifting away giving room for Rion and Demand to fight.
The atmosphere around Rion began to change slightly as his eyes sharpened, Demand's attack after attack becoming increasingly ineffective as his opponent had found the rhythm of his game.
Now was the time where Rion stayed to play the gap he could exploit in Demand's spear game.
Rion clenched his hands together with lightning sparks that began to materialize. “Tron Fist”
Rion's palm began to emit lightning clearly, as his hand tore at Demand's spear a hint of lightning energy flowed on his opponent's spear slightly trembled.
The more Demand dissolved in battle, the slower his spear game became. At the moment a crack he had created, Rion smiled coldly in his heart.
‘I'll make you an example for the best lesson for them!’
Successfully caught Demand's spear aiming for him. Rion immediately moved the opponent's center of gravity to make his opponent lose balance and die a step along with the large gap that is now created.
Rion immediately dropped Demand, pulling the spear in his opponent's hand until it could be forcibly retrieved. He slightly displayed the techniques he mastered and immediately punched blindly without any techniques, only pure power started raining down on the opponent.
Taking a moment's pause, a flame was seen beginning to envelop Rion's hand. “Burn Fist!”
A high-temperature fist rained down on Demand, slowly beginning to melt the armor she was wearing so that she could feel the hot iron melt burning all over her body.
“ARRGGGHHH!”
The smell of burnt charred gusts filled the air around with roaring cries. Unlike in the laboratory where the sound of the roar was muffled due to its position under the fortress, the sound of the roar clearly echoed here.
The soldiers who wanted to help Demand became daunted. They realized that it was impossible to free the vice-captain of the knight from Rion's torment to make them undo his intentions.
Punch after punch continued to be launched by Rion along with the increasingly roaring roars of grief at the west gate. The blows continued to fall on Demand's body, making him a hot lump of iron alongside the receding sounds of battle.
Frightened, that was all the soldiers felt when they witnessed this scene.
