A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero

A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 32: In the Ice Sheet - 1

Lily walked leisurely in this place, looking around a city with half of the place destroyed in the west and north and leaving the east and south buildings of the city visible, the view on both the right and left side of the road is entirely white.

Looking at the cloudless blue sky that dropped the ice flakes, Lily caught one of the ice chips and played the ice flakes in her hand.

Staring at the ice that was now in the shape of a flower in her hand Lily muttered, "I finally found."

The ice flower in Lily's hand disappeared, carrying ice chips scattered by the wind.

Lily's gaze shifted towards the direction where she found Rion. His eyes continued to sharpen, the gentleness shown on Rion was already out of sight, replaced by a bone-chilling cold gaze. His sight continued to pierce the visibility that normal beings could reach, until it stopped at a Citadel.

"So it's all their fault."

Lily's eyes returned to normal, she walked into the forest, leaving her footprints on the snow-white covered ground.

***

Rion's days in this place were very quiet, it could even be said to be silent. He had never heard any noise from outside the room, as if the outside world had separated from this place.

This makes Rion sometimes ask himself if it is true that he has not died? However, trying any number of times to make sure, he was sure that he was still alive.

After a week passed Rion felt himself recovering, as he was about to prepare to leave the room, that was when Lily was seen entering the room.

"You're leaving already?" ask Lily.

"Yes, that's it."

Rion's attitude towards Lily was not as cold as before, given that it was this girl who saved her life as well as Lily's actions that never did anything suspicious.

Lily took a chair and sat down. He looked at Rion with serious eyes like never before.

"What's wrong?" rion asked Lily, realizing the next conversation was not a light topic as usual.

"Are you an elf?" tanya Lily looked at the shape of Rion's pointed ears.

"No, that's not true. Only half of me is an elf," Rion replied honestly, not feeling anything to cover up about her race.

Half-elf, often also called mix blood as the official language, however, the call 'half' itself has been attached to the owner of the mix blood like Rion.

Although Lily's eyes showed confusion, she did not ask further about it. "Are you going to fight after this?"

"...."

Lily smiled looking at the silent Rion, unable to answer her question. "Are you going to fight after you get out of here?" ask him again.

"If I have to answer honestly, then yes. I will fight after getting out of here, therefore I don't want to involve anyone else."

"I'll help you."

"No need, it's very dangerous. Besides ... I'm still weak."

Hearing Rion's confession, a smile was still seen on Lily's lips. "Look out and you'll know what I mean."

Lily came out, Rion who was still shocked after what the girl said, choosing to follow her out of the room to see what her solids wanted to show.

Upon seeing the thing in front of him, Rion was confused for a moment before his eyes widened. The entire scene before him was a stretch of snow that filled every corner with ice descending on the cloudless sky.

'This ... is within the area that belongs to the death zone!'

This entire scene answered the weirdness and discomfort that Rion sometimes felt. Why is it never seen by anyone else? Why is there no sound from outside? Why was this girl the only one he had ever met?

Everything was answered, because there had been no one else anywhere all this time, there was only him and the girl.

"You know now, don't you?" Lily's body slightly blurred before revealing her fox ears and tail. "I'm not human."

Seeing the change in Lily, Rion felt surprised because he was completely unable to sense any strange things from the mana flow around. Rion took a few steps back, before returning to calm.

Staring at Lily once more while approaching her, Rion observed the flow of mana around her closely. However, it was still unable to find any strangeness.

Lily uses the magic of [Magic: Mimic] back, removes her fox ears and tail and becomes the figure of Lily that Rion is familiar with.

Feeling that there was no strangeness in the surrounding mana, Rion gulped. 'What a terrible level of control! It can even calm the flow of mana around it while releasing magic, making magic itself invisible.'

Although Rion is still bad about controlling his powers. However, if it was a matter of his senses to sense the flow of mana he could puff out his chest. Thanks to all the things he had experienced, his senses had used mana as a part that could be felt.

Both the senses of the viewer, listener, smell, feeler, to taste, and it makes Rion very sensitive to his environment. However, in the presence of Lily this was all useless.

Seeing Rion's behavior to her, Lily herself was surprised. He thought that Rion would be scared or at least take longer to recover, but the interest the young man showed made him smile a little.

Lily drew back her disguise magic, revealing the figure of a charming fox girl.

"So how? I graduated, didn't I?"

"I'm not commenting."

Rion raised his hand, for him to be able to live in this death zone was already a miracle, and he did not want to oppose a monstrous figure like Lily who possessed such terrifying power.

Even with the look of a weak and innocent girl when disguised as a human.

"Oh, I remember something. Rion, can you show me your magic?"

"Good." Rion nodded.

Even if she refuses, Lily can attack her, forcing her to unleash magic in self-defense. Making additional trouble was the thing he wanted to avoid as much as possible, his retaliation alone had already created enough trouble to deal with Rion's current abilities.

"Want what elements to use?"

"Everything you can, Rion," Lily replied as she moved away, taking a seat in one of the ruins of the building.

Rion begins to perform magic at Lily's request, from the fire and lightning magic he often uses, to the form of water, wind, and earth elements.

"That's enough!"

After saying Lily said this, Rion stopped. Lily approached the young man with eyes that seemed to want to swallow him, causing Rion to take a step back.

"W-What's up, Lily?"

"none. You are very interesting, the affinity for the elements you can do is very interesting. All of those elements you can release very well, but for matters of control .. it's not worth mentioning at all."

Rion was in pain, Lily said precisely about her weak point, control. Although it can control the direction of attack. However, the use of mana is completely inefficient, making its attack weaker —by which amount— is using than it should be .

"I'll train you!" lily said with Rion's hand.

Rion was a little empty, was he going to be this 'monster' toy named Lily?

"I don't think so!"

Rion wants to get stronger. However, if he were to become the other party's puppet, then the answer would be only one word that was no!

"You're going to fight, aren't you? Then let's get started!"

Rion rejects Lily's request, wanting to immediately begin her revenge. In addition, she argues that she can train herself in the journey she takes.

Lily kept forcing Rion by all means. One of them by making Rion unable to get out of this snow field.

The whole exit and direction Lily's been changing. Lily's control ability to use magic with 'invisible' makes Rion, although sensitive to changes in mana flow to get around this zone for almost two weeks before finally succumbing.

"I give up, I'll take your training."

"Well, it was easy since then, right.”

'Maybe he will be bored after a week, ' Rion thought in his heart.
