365 Days Towards Halal
49# The return of Raka's past

Flowers, exactly like that. This afternoon, unexpectedly, Raka received a message from Queen. Who invited himself to meet at a restaurant for dinner.

Raka could hardly believe it, she repeatedly saw the name on her phone screen.

Queen

Hey, you got time tonight? I'm planning on having dinner at All you can eat. So, can you help me mukbang all there is?

Raka smiled all the while, this was the first time Queen contacted her first.

Lt could. See you's..

Reply to Raka quickly. He smiled and immediately contacted Mirna to cancel all plans tonight.

Then, he asked his personal assistant to prepare the clothes he would wear at dinner with Queen.

Raka also asks her personal assistant to order a bouquet of flowers for Queen.

Raka felt impatient to soon meet the girl of his dreams.

The phone in Raka's room rang, as she was imagining an exciting dinner with Queen. Just then, her daydreams about Queen came to a halt. Then, he glanced at the phone on his desk.

Raka also raised the call. Mirna's voice was heard outside Raka's room.

"Hello Sir," Sapa Mirna.

"Yes,"

"I just got a call from the receptionist. He said someone was looking for you and insisted on meeting you."

Raka frowned.

"Who?"

"A woman sir,"

"What's his name?" Ask Raka.

"Mother Lala Sir,"

Degggg...!

Raka's heart was racing when he heard the name mentioned by Mirna.

"What are you doing?" Ask her again.

"I don't know much, sir. It's just that, Lala's mother insisted on meeting."

Raka was silent for a moment. I don't know what Lala meant to come to her.

Lala was Raka's ex-girlfriend while studying in Boston. They lived together for 3 years in Boston.

Actually, their love story is so complicated. They were separated by a third person. That is, the current husband of Lala.

When they returned to their homeland, Raka had intended to confront Lala. Because of what they had passed in Boston, Raka felt responsible with the girl. After all, Raka is not a depraved man, he does love Lala and he does want to live with Lala in Indonesia.

Suddenly Lala moved away, after 4 months back to the homeland. Raka did not understand why her lover was away. So, he took the initiative to follow Lala who at that time had worked at his Papi company.

Without Raka guessing beforehand, after hours of returning home from work, Lala came out together with a man with a neat appearance. The man hooked his hand on Lala's slender waist.

Emotions smoldering in Raka's heart. But he tried to endure all the pain. Raka decides to follow Lala who turns out to be entering a restaurant for dinner.

Raka also came in and watched the intimacy of Lala and the other man.

Not accepting with Raka's treatment, the man got up and returned Raka's punch. Lala screamed hysterically, trying to ask anyone who was there for help.

Some people also tried to calm the two people who were fighting. Two people hold the man who is with Lala, four people hold Raka who is crazy for seeing Lala together with other men.

"Enough!" Lala shouted out loud.

Raka looked at Lala's face that looked panicked.

"You..."

"Raka, we end it all. I'm getting engaged to Max" Lala said.

Raka was wide-eyed, she could not believe what Lala had told her.

"Wedding?" Raka asked with a bringas-looking face.

"Yes, I'm getting engaged to Max. Let's just end our relationship. Together is impossible, I will not be able to face your mother's sharp mouth!"

Raka fell silent, she grew more and more distrustful of what Lala said.

"What's wrong with my mom?" Raka asked as she threw out the hands that were holding her hands and body.

"I'm hurt by your mother's words. Eventually I decided to get to know Max more closely and I fell in love with Max. Max's parents are very welcoming to me. They treat me like a human being. But your mother, no. He can only berate. To him, I'm not perfect and ask me to walk out of your life."

"He also humbled me with a check he forced me to accept. She didn't know? Money means nothing to me, I am of a small, flourishing treasure. I am also a rich and honorable man. Then, your mother is not human. Always assume others are inferior and can be bought!"

Raka was glued, her lips were mute.

"What's my less? Is it because I'm the ethnicity he doesn't want? Is it because I am less beautiful? And my body shape isn't ideal?"

Lala was not very beautiful, even though she was a person, but the girl did not want to remodel her face to be perfect. Lala's height was only 155 centimeters and a little contained, precisely Lala was tiny and adorable. The white girl with that typical smile was actually very kind. Only, his attitude changed when he was approached by the mother of Raka.

"Now go, we're done. Follow what your mother wants. Find the perfect woman. Find a woman who's like an angel, like what your mother wants."

Raka was exhausted of words, she felt a deep pain upon hearing Lala's words. However, it hurts even more to the attitude of his mother who secretly met Lala.

There was no more look of love in Lala's eyes, all lost and changed by a look of hate and heartache.

Raka accepts everything, leaving the restaurant with a wounded heart. He even rampaged through his home by destroying all of his mother's collectibles.

Raka is frustrated, not just because of her separation from Lala. However, he was frustrated also with the attitude of his mother who was very arrogant.

Why is the past coming back today? Wasn't the decision to split up, was from Lala herself? Isn't Lala happy to be with her husband Max and their son Jonathan?

Wh why? What's up?"

The question kept coming to Raka's mind.

"Sir... Handsome daddy.." Sapa Mirna's.

"Ah, huh?" The daydream about Lala was removed because Mirna, who was still on the other end of the phone, called Raka.

"Accepted or not, sir?"

"Hmmm," Raka was at a loss as to what. He was very worried about Lala's sudden arrival.

"Alright, tell him to go to my room and you immediately prepare food and drinks for my guest's treats" Raka ordered.

"Alright Boss," said Lala before the girl ended the call.

"Lala, what's wrong?" Gumam Raka's.
