Youthful Time Volunteers 2
Rani Apologizes

The bell at last rang. Exactly as expected Rani, Tristan had raised objections because Melly had to go home on a motorcycle with Rani. But after Rani convinces Tristan that Melly will be fine, Tristan reluctantly allows.

Not wanting to get a protest back from Melly for driving his bike very slowly like that time, this time Rani immediately triggered it at normal speed. Upon arrival at Melly's house, Rani sits on the porch while Melly steps in to call Ghevin. Debaran Rani's heart starts to go crazy, just like when she was about to ask Ghevin out on a date.

"Oh, that date... If only I could go back to that day..."

Before long Ghevin comes out, and if Rani is usually happy to see him, this time it is not so. The pleasure is still there, a little, but it feels so faint because it is dominated by sadness.

There is no ordinary greeting from Ghevin. He just stared at Rani, a little longer at Rani's puffy eyes, then sat down. Knowing that Ghevin was waiting for Rani to express the intention of his arrival there, Rani immediately spoke.

"Gue wanted to apologize for last night, Ghev," Rani began. "Gue seemed to reveal my feelings to you when you told me to stop."

"Lo doesn't have to apologize for that" Ghevin said. "Lo's right to express your feelings to anyone you want."

Not to anyone. Rani has only ever expressed her feelings for a Ghevin, which unfortunately does not end well.

"So I want to apologize for other things" said Rani. "Gue made Melly cry earlier."

Ghevin turned to Rani quickly. "You guys got into a fight?"

"It's just for a minute" said Rani. "Gue immediately apologized to her."

"Lo's sorry for him" Ghevin said. "So there's no need to apologize to me."

"There's more" added Rani hurriedly. "Gue also wanted to apologize because for a while I could not meet you first. If for example we accidentally meet, pretend we do not know each other. You're gonna help me so much to forget my feelings the same way you do. And about Melly, you don't worry, 'cause I'm gonna keep her as good as ever."

Why didn't Ghevin protest that he still wanted to meet with Rani? Is it so easy for him to let Rani go of his life?

Maybe since the beginning Ghevin did not consider Rani in his life. After all, Rani shouldn't have wished for him anymore, because hope would only make him fall into the cold water again.

Rani raises her hand, intending to wipe away the tears that started to rise in the corner of her eyes, and that's when she realized the existence of a bracelet on her wrist.

Doubts began to engulf Rani. Should he return the bracelet to Ghevin? It seems like it is, because he obviously can't wear it anymore without thinking about Ghevin. So with a heavy heart he took off the bracelet and extended it to Ghevin.

"Gue wants to return this bracelet the same lo," said Rani.

"Gue already gave the bracelet to you," Ghevin refused, not wanting to accept the bracelet back.

"So I keep wearing this bracelet," said Rani, "then it will continue the same keingetan lo."

"No need to wear it, just keep it," Ghevin suggested. "Or if you don't want to save, you can just throw it away."

Instead of throwing the bracelet away, Rani prefers to keep it. So he put the bracelet in his bag, thinking about where he would store it later. Maybe under the pile of his clothes, or under the bed—it's important he can't see it. He had thought of burying it in the ground, but he thought it was too extreme.
