Still in one of the VIP rooms of Sirosoppo restaurant. Ghevin and Rani seem to be busy with their respective meals. Suddenly Ghevin asks Rani in the middle of their meal.
"What about yourself, Ran?" ask Ghevin. "Since I've known you, I've never seen you have a boyfriend."
"I was waiting for you," Ceplos Rani unconsciously.
"What?" Either Ghevin didn't hear, or felt misheard.
Rani hastily replicates it. "Joking" he murmured, though he was not actually joking. "No one wants to be with me."
It would be sad if it were true, but fortunately it wasn't. Rani's fate isn't that bad, and Ghevin knows it.
"No way," Ghevin said. "Lo beautiful and fun. There must be a lot of guys who want to be the same."
Rani's feelings instantly improved completely. Ghevin found her beautiful and pleasant, and that was the highest compliment Ghevin ever told her. It feels like Rani wants to dance on the table so happy.
"How come you don't want to be with me, Ghev?" ask Rani.
"Lo's too good for me" Ghevin replied.
Why is Ghevin's answer like the reason someone gave him when he ended his relationship with his girlfriend? And how could Ghevin think Rani was too good for him?
Is it just to cover up the fact that Rani is not up to the standard of being able to be her boyfriend?
"Find a girlfriend, there," Ghevin said. "Don't be too choosy."
"Ntar if I have a boyfriend, you're heartbroken, again," seduced Rani.
"Yes. If so you don't have a boyfriend, yes," Ghevin teased Rani back.
Rani can't imagine having a boyfriend other than Ghevin. Even falling in love with someone else can be hard.
"Lo was very intentional, to arrange dinner for Melly everything," said Rani, trying to divert the conversation before Ghevin again told her to find a boyfriend. If she wants to be Rani's boyfriend, it's okay.
"Gue's just afraid Melly got the wrong guy" Ghevin said. "From little Melly depends so much on me. Wherever I go, he always wants to go. It is hard to separate him from me. I also got used to protecting him. Now that she's got a boyfriend, I feel lost."
Suddenly Rani laughed. His laughter was so jarring, that the dead salt chicken almost came back to life because of Rani's laughter. Rani knew she shouldn't laugh because Ghevin was being so serious, but she couldn't help herself.
"Lo knows, you're like her father, not her brother."
"So your sister lo aja lo kayak so, especially if you have a daughter."
"I want to have a boy" Ghevin said.
"Oh, so Ghevin wants to have a boy. But I want a girl..."
Rani's mind even bounces to the child of all. He was still in high school, and he should have thought more about school. He has no idea of his future, except for the part of him married to Ghevin. Rani just realized how shallow she was. How could he be a successful man if Ghevin's brain was all over him? Rani has to start fixing herself. But not now. It can be done sometime. The most important thing now is that he must focus on spending the food that has been served.
The problem is, Rani is starting to get full. He continued to eat only because he wanted to prolong his time with Ghevin. He hoped that his stomach would firmly hold all the food that was forced in.
"You're full, you don't have to eat, Ran," Ghevin said suddenly. Looks like he can see Rani threatened to be a hot air balloon out of the restaurant. "Wrapped up."
"But divided in two, yes." proposed Rani.
"No need, make it all up." said Ghevin.
"Who knows Melly hasn't eaten."
Ghevin did not argue again after Rani mentioned Melly's name, but he also did not miss the opportunity to curse Tristan. "Gue pinched that jerk if nyampe starved my sister."
After the rest of the food is wrapped and Ghevin finishes paying, with a heavy heart Rani follows Ghevin walking outside. Rani even willing that he had to help wash the dishes at the restaurant as long as he could stay with Ghevin.
"Gue go to the toilet first, yes," Ghevin said as they passed through the toilet.
"Don't stray on the inside" joked Rani. "No one wants me to go home, no more."
"I don't go out in an hour, you send the SAR team alone" Ghevin replied before disappearing behind the toilet door.
Rani waits for Ghevin while leaning against the wall between the boys' toilet and the girls' toilet.
