Rani wept wailing, making some people who were crossing the pavement look at her in wonder, but know what they are? They do not feel what Rani feels, how amazing the pain in her heart because Ghevin left her.
”Ghev, j-don't go,” cry Rani. ”Don't stay with me. Don't be that same as me.”
One of the few people who was on the sidewalk—ibu guard warung—turun to the road and approached Rani. Maybe Rani looks so pitiful that the shopkeeper's mother becomes unbearable.
”Neng, do not cry in the middle of the road like this,” said the shopkeeper's mother, while helping Rani stand up. ”Let's have a car.”
Since the road was deserted, no cars passed. If there is, maybe Rani has been hit by a car because of her carelessness.
Upon their return to the sidewalk, Rani murmured thanks to the shopkeeper's mother and immediately walked away. No matter which direction he went, it would not be surprising if he got lost.
Only instincts led him to Rani could get home, because all the way, he was busy crying. Thankfully, my mom and dad were asleep. But when Rani heads to her room, she crosses paths with Billy.
”Rani?” call Billy, surprised to see the tears on Rani's face. ”Why do you cry?”
Rani could not answer. Because if he answers, it means he has to tell Billy about Ghevin who has rejected his love. But he wasn't ready to tell it. At least, not tonight.
”Because of Ghevin, yes?” Billy guessed it himself. ”Surely he is, who made you cry?”
Rani's mouth remained closed. And Billy considers Rani's silence as a sign that Rani justifies his guess.
”The Ghevin's Passion,” furious Billy. ”To be frank, Ran, I'm starting to have no respect for him. I feel like he never appreciated you. Though he was lucky because he was liked so much as lo.”
"Yes, why didn't Ghevin realize how lucky he was? Maybe there are still a lot of girls who like it, but do they like it as deep as I am?"
”Gue knows Ghevin is much stronger than me,” Billy said. ”And once he hit me, maybe I'll go straight up. But if I can give him one or two punches, to return his treatment to lo, I am quite satisfied.”
A little amused by Billy's actions, Rani finally entered his room. As she was about to get into bed, Rani realized she was still wearing high heels. He opened it, and it turned out that as a result of walking a long distance, his heels were badly injured. Perhaps the pain in his heart made him not feel any pain in his heels.
Too lazy to take the wound medicine and plaster, Rani just laid her body on the bed. Suddenly he remembered his promise to Ghevin that he would call him when he got home, he took a cell phone. As he stared at the screen of his phone, there were eight missed calls from Ghevin. His phone was indeed silenced so he did not know Ghevin was calling him.
Rani never received eight missed Ghevin calls before? Not even one missed call. Ghevin hardly ever calls her, except to search for Melly when Melly can't be reached.
Rani was just about to call Ghevin back, but Ghevin already called her. After taking a long breath—trying to strengthen himself—Rani also lifted it.
”Halo?”
”Rani?” There was relief in Ghevin's voice, probably because Rani finally picked up her phone. ”Lo home already?”
”Udah,” sahut Rani brief.
”Thank God,” sigh Ghevin. There was a short pause before he continued, ”Rani, I'm really sorry.”
Without responding to Ghevin's apology, Rani turns off the phone. He then immersed his face in a pillow, and wet it with tears. Despite feeling extremely tired, it seemed like he would not be able to sleep.
After leaving the lake, snow immediately greeted him, accompanying Rani who remained determined to wait for Ghevin to return, even though she knew it was all in vain.
