The Surprising Truth

For a while, Jack was still staring at his wife. Riani who was still asleep was sitting and Cassie who was lying on her lap. There is a fear of imagining that this happiness they feel will end because of the distraction of a Daniel.

Slowly Jack deleted the message. He didn't want Riani to read it. After that he put Riani's phone back on the table and intended to go to the kitchen to make coffee. It was at this moment that Riani opened her eyes.

"Darling?" Riani was surprised to see Jack in the living room. He glanced at the wall clock that had shown at half-seven in the morning.

"I fell asleep apparently." He slowly lifted Cassie's head and placed it on a sofa cushion, fixed the blanket that covered the girl's body and stood up.

"Good morning, baby." Riani approached and hugged her husband.

"Good morning too, dear." Jack clenched his arms and kissed the top of his wife's head.

For a moment both of them dissolve in the arms of love.

"I'm gonna make breakfast first." Riani let go of her embrace. Jack nodded.

"I'll help." Jack followed his wife into the kitchen.

"Darling, what do you want for breakfast?" ask Riani.

"Bread only. I want a toast with a sprinkling of sugar brown on it."

"Ok." said Riani then took the bread from the food cabinet.

"Why do you sleep in the living room?" jack asked while heating the water to make a cake.

"I was Videocall with Arma. Cassie wakes up to drink water. Finally we both chatted there until we finally fell asleep."

Jack smiled. "Thank you for loving Cassie like that."

Riani looked at her husband. "Cassie thinks of me as his mother. How could I not love him?"

Jack came up and hugged his wife from behind. "Cassie got a good mother. Ever since he first saw you, he's loved you."

"Aren't Cassie like that much yet?"

Jack chuckles. He turned Riani's body. "Cassie's father not only liked it but was immediately infatuated."

"I'm so glad to hear that."

Jack stroked his wife's face. He wanted to ask Riani how he felt about his past, but he did not want to offend his wife because they had agreed to forget the past.

"What's wrong?" ask Riani.

"If it's a new school year for Cassie, we'll move to Manchester, baby."

"Why? I like it here. I'm happy with my job."

"So that if I want to go home it only takes 15 minutes to get from my workplace. Cassie can also live at home so if you live in Manchester, not far from the school."

"At that I like it here. Reminds me of the peaceful atmosphere in my village. I also love working at Mr. John's pastry shop. But it's nothing. Wherever you go, I must be with you."

Jack again carried Riani in his arms. He kissed his wife's head lovingly.

Jack let go of his embrace and turned off the stove because the water was already over. "No."

Jack started to pick up the glass. "You want coffee too?" ask Jack.

Riani knew that Jack did not want to continue the conversation between them. He nodded and did not continue the topic.

The next day, Riani got up early as usual and prepared breakfast before she was about to go to the cake shop.

"Good morning, mom." said Cassie who was awake and immediately met Riani there.

"Good morning, honey. Wanna go?" riani asked as she looked at Cassie's grooming which looked neat.

Cassie nodded with a smile. "So daddy woke me up and said that we were going to London to hear the reading of the will from opa."

Riani was happy to hear that. "really?"

Cassie nodded. At that moment Jack appeared in the kitchen. Riani immediately hugged her husband and gave a kiss on his cheek. "I'm happy, baby."

"You want to come?" ask Jack.

"Cannot. Yesterday I received quite a lot of chocolate cake orders. If I leave, I'm sorry Lady Elisha has to do it herself."

"Yes already. We'll go straight home then." said Jack.

"Don't push yourself, baby. If the snow's coming down hard, it's better to be there."

"Later mommy was lonely" Cassie said.

"Mommy won't be lonely. Mommy will be busy making Christmas cakes. After that must be tired and go to sleep."

Jack and Riani laughed. Cassie was so spoiled for Riani. That makes Jack happy.

After cleaning himself and breakfast Riani also began to prepare the ingredients of the cake to be prepared. But there is incomplete material. Riani decided to go shopping. He wears a thick coat and a knitted hat. Not to forget the hand shirts too. Then he ordered a taxi.

It wasn't until 15 minutes, the taxi came and drove him to the shop he wanted. Riani decided to go to an Asian store. Even though he had to spend more money to pay a taxi.
