The Unmissed Family

Before 13 Years Ago (part 2)

"Rendra, I'm scared..." Anika spoke to Rendra, the two are currently in Anika's ward. And today is Anika's schedule for chemotherapy.

Rendra smiled gently at Anika, she rubbed her cheeks before saying, "Not to be afraid, am I here, hm?"

Of course Rendra's words did not succeed in making Anika feel fine, Anika still felt scared.

Moments later Elena arrives with another nurse intending to take Anika for chemotherapy.

"Are you ready?" Elena asked Anika.

Then Anika was taken to the chemotherapy room, not forgetting Rendra always accompanied by her side.

"really? You didn't see it wrong, did you?" Anika is no less enthusiastic.

Rendra nodded repeatedly then showed Anika the ad in question, "Look, the place is also not too far from this city."

"Rendra, we need to get there as soon as possible!"

"Calm down, you've just finished chemotherapy, we need to see your doctor if it's really safe for you."

"Therefore, hurry up and meet Elena, this is good news I don't want to delay any longer." Anika was impatient.

"Yes... Yeah..." Replied Rendra who then went to meet Elena in her room.

Anika was still in disbelief when she heard the doctor tell her about her recovery.

"Congratulations, you got through it all! And today you're sure to be cured." Lena said with a hand of Anika who was sitting on the hospital patient bed.

Anika just gawked without saying a word, Rendra who was standing by the side of the bed just smiled happily.

"Is that really Lena?" Finally, Rendra responded.

Lena nodded slowly with a smile, "Why am I lying about my patient's health?"

"You hear that Ika? We succeeded!" Rendra was unable to hold back her happy tears, she immediately hugged her wife right away.

Likewise with Anika, she cried happily in Rendra's arms. He still did not believe, such a ferocious disease could be passed through even with a struggle that was not easy.

Lena who saw the scene, she was also happy, her eyes looked teary seeing her best friend had gone through difficult times.

Anika let go of her embrace and then looked at Lena, she gestured for her best friend to come closer, Then Anika clasped Lena's hand before saying, "Thank you for being the hero of my life."

Elena shook her head repeatedly, "It's not me, but the real hero is you."

Anika smiled at Elena's answer and then she turned to look at Rendra and said, "Thank you for you too baby. Who's been patient with me all this time, even though you know my condition but you never leave me, even though you can very well do it."

"Whatever happens, even if you only have one leg or one hand, I will never leave you I will stay with you and I will always love you, my wife." Rendra replied, then she kissed Anika's forehead so gently.
