At exactly five in the morning Renata woke up from his sleep. He moved very carefully when he wanted to get out of bed.
"Don't wake up, son. I want to prepare provisions for you" whispered Renata as Justin squirmed while muttering indistinctly. He was afraid that this child would wake up and then check his activities. Biases.
Waiting until Justin fell asleep again, Renata tiptoed into the bathroom. He washed his face a few times then looked at the mirror.
"Bern said today he'd pick up and drop Justin off at his school. It's just an obsession or because there's something I don't know about? It felt a little unreasonable to see Bern as much as he cared about Justin. They have no relationship. Strange," muttered Renata wondering to herself. He then mend*sah slowly, feeling heavy in his breath. "Oh my God, if something is not right here, be aware of me. I'm afraid the caring and caring attitude Bern showed could hurt my son's feelings. I beg you,"
With his mind filled with many questions Renata began to brush his teeth. He did all of that very slowly. The burden in his mind suddenly piled up after Bern entered his life. Everything the man did made Renata have trouble thinking. Really am.
Tok tok tok tok
Renata almost choked when the room door was knocked. Soon she gargled and then walked quickly to open the door for her son.
"Darling, why wake up?"
"You peed, Mother," Justin replied with his face.
"Oh pee yes. I'm helping you take off Justin's pants so they don't get wet,"
"Yes, Mommy,"
Justin staggered as his mother carried him into the bathroom. Renata who saw his son's behavior just smiled. It's so adorable this kid.
While waiting for Justin to finish throwing away his wish, Renata's mind suddenly floated on the sweet scene where Bern smiled meaningfully at him. At first, Renata thought he had seen it wrong. But when the man showed that smile again, Renata realized that Bern was teasing him.
Oh my gosh, what the fuck am I. Why my mind was filled with Bern. It's crazy how I am!
"Mother is already," Justin said as he shook his mother's arm. He who was sitting in the closet immediately looked at the beautiful woman who just silently did not respond to his words. "Mother, Justin is done peeing. Let's get out."
"Huh? What's?"
"Justin's done peeing, man,"
"O-oh, is it over?"
Anaya stuttered. Soon she helped clean up Justin's pee marks then took him out. Renata asked Justin to go back to sleep. But the boy refused.
"Dad said today would accompany Justin to go to school. So Justin info get ready first so that later we are not late, Mom," said Justin innocently revealed the reason why he was reluctant to go back to sleep. Justin can't wait to go to school with his mom and dad.
"Yes, I know. Now it's still very early, baby. I'm definitely not awake yet. So Justin's just sleeping?" persuade Renata.
Drrtt
Just now Renata and Justin are talking about Bern, the person has just called. Seeing that, Renata became nervous. Unknowingly his hand moved tidying up the appearance before answering the video call from the man.
"Hello, Bern. That morning you called. Not sleeping?" asked Renata with a pounding heart.
Renata was stunned for a few seconds when Bern called Justin their son. It felt like there were thousands of butterflies flying in the stomach. Really am.
"Dad, Justin is here!" justin shouted to himself. He then brought his face to the camera. "Dad, are you ready to take Justin to school? Justin and I are awake, too,"
"Now it's not time for Justin to go to school. It's still too early. Justin's friends are still sleeping. Just wait a minute. I must have come and taken you to school. Okay?"
"But Justin can't wait to show off at miss if Justin already has a Dad. If Justin's friends see Dad, they're not gonna make fun of Justin anymore. Now Justin already has a Father and Mother like them," said Justin complained with a face that was so sad. He was moody for a moment.
Bern's expression immediately turned strange upon hearing his son's complaint. Renata who realized this immediately calmed him down. He was afraid that Bern would look for the children who had bullied Justin and scolded them.
"Bern, don't be angry. What his friends do Justin is just a regular plunge. They're kids, still don't understand anything like this. Please don't be mad" said Renata as gently as possible.
"Our son was bullied by them. How can I possibly calm down, Amora?"
Silent. Bern and Renata stared at each other in silence as Bern mentioned Amora's name. If normally Renata would feel a little strange, this time the feeling did not appear. His attitude was ordinary when Bern mispronounced his name.
"Dad, Mother. Who's Amora? Is that Justin's sister?"
Renata immediately hesitated to hear Justin's speech that alluded to the sister. Shame, he's so embarrassed. His cheeks warmed up instantly.
"You're beautiful when you're shy like this. I like it" said Bern, flatly praising Renata. He then smiled, looking at the beautiful face of this woman with full of my longing. "Renata, I don't mind if Justin wants a sister. How're you? Are you gonna be ready?"
"Umm Bern, I don't think this is the right conversation to listen to Justin. Don't forget that a child's brain responds much faster to other people's words than an adult's. Be careful if you want to say something he doesn't deserve to hear!" renata immediately rebuked Justin. He looked at Justin. "Honey, next time you can't talk like that. It's not polite to name."
"So if you have a sister it's not polite, Mom?" justin asked innocently.
"Not rude, dear. But ....
"Justin, already. Don't bother Mom again, pity. Look at his face. Red as a tomato, right?" ledek Bern didn't let Renata escape his temptation.
"Wahhh, my face is so red. If you bite, does it taste the same as a tomato, Dad?" justin exclaimed with excitement. Using both of his tiny hands, Justin cupped his mother's face and kissed her affectionately. "Beautiful Mom, can't Justin bite Mom's face?"
"No way, baby. What if Mom is in pain? Does Justin have no pity?" sahut Renata while glancing at the phone screen. Really brazen Bern. Gosh darn.
"Oh, so can't ya?"
"Yes. In bite pain. No yeah?"
"Good, Mommy."
On the phone screen, Bern seemed to chuckle at the pleasure of seeing Renata overwhelmed by Justin's questions. What a sweet sight. Simple, but full of warmth.
