The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)

Chapter 18

At the Goh family residence, Renata was seen who was daydreaming alone in the living room. After putting Justin to sleep, Renata decides to get out of the room. His heart was so agitated, for what reason. There was a kind of pain that was so heart-slicing. Bizarrely. For many years, Renata never felt that way. But after meeting with Bern, Renata suddenly so often feel this kind of feeling.

"Geez, why am I thinking about Bern anyway. He's not just a stranger who accidentally met me. Conscious Renata, sober!" said Renata while patting her own cheek. He then sighed, not understanding his way of thinking. "I'm actually why. Ever since I got into an accident I've never felt this bad. Even when Justin asked about his father, I was able to calm down. But why can't it now? My heart sings for no apparent reason."

Despite knowing it could hurt herself, Renata tries to remember about her past. He wondered at once confused why there could not be a single doctor who was able to make his memory return like before. Though from the cases that Renata had read, it is likely for an amnesiac to be able to recall memories lost after routine therapy. But why not himself?

"Akhh! My head!"

Nandira who happened to come out of the room immediately ran over to Renata as soon as she heard her screams. He then shouted to Max as his daughter's body fell to the floor.

"Max, Renata is down. Hurry up help me!"

The sound of Nandira's cry was so strong that it woke up the entire house. In addition to Max who ran away from the room, the servants and guards who stood guard outside the house also did the same thing. Soon some of them lifted Renata's limp body and laid her on the sofa. Fortunately Nandira's screaming voice did not wake Justin up. If the boy woke up, he would immediately cry in fear at the state of his mother like this.

"Dear, what's wrong with you? What happened until you screamed like that, hem?" nandira asked as she clasped Renata's cold hand. His heart was as in iris-iris looking at his daughter's face that was so pale.

"Mom, I'm just confused about myself. I don't understand why I can't remember my past. There are many people who can regain their memories after therapy. But why can't I? I'm confused, Mother," Renata said softly telling everyone the reason why he could be like this. With eyes so sad, Renata spoke again about the strange that he felt. "I was trying to be okay with my current situation. But after meeting with Bern, suddenly I often feel anxious. I also often feel sad for no apparent reason. That's why I tried to remember if there might be an important promise that I accidentally forgot how. I'm stressed, Mother."

Nandira listened carefully to Renata's words. As for Max, he was quite shocked when his daughter mentioned Bern's name. As far as Max is concerned, Bern is the son of Mr. Gabrielle and Mrs Eleanor. Then how could his daughter who rarely met with others get to know the man from that family? It's disconcerting.

"Does anyone besides Bern think you look like his girlfriend and say anything else, Ren? Maybe it's some kind of togetherness or about the situation abroad" asked Nandira trying to be sure.

Renata shakes.

"He said nothing but our faces were similar. And today I met him twice" Renata replied. "The first time I took Justin to school. As he was going home, Bern suddenly appeared there. He said there was a need and accidentally saw me talking to his teacher Justin. The second one is at the flower shop. Bern came with a friend. He claims he doesn't know the flower shop is mine, Mom. He also said he only accompanied his friend to buy flowers for his girlfriend!"

"Then?"

"Then ..me and him kept quiet until finally Bern's friend invited him home. It was so awkward."

"Yes, Dad. His name is Bern Wufien Ma" Renata replied.

"Huh? But how can a man like Bern suddenly call you like his girlfriend? It's so weird,"

"I don't know either, Dad. He came to see me, so he's the only one who knows if it's true or just an excuse."

The tail of Nandira's eyes glanced at Max who continued to mutter in astonishment. It felt like he was eager to remind this man of the one family that was Renata's real family. If it is true that Bern thinks Renata is his lover, Nandira is sure that the person Bern is referring to is Renata's twin brother. I don't know what his name is Nandira doesn't know. But he will keep hiding the fact that Renata is not his real son. Must.

"Ren, it's night now. You go back to bed rest. And I'm asking you from now on don't remember the past anymore. I don't not want you to be able to go back to how you used to be, but I'm worried that you're okay, especially if you get sick. Poor Justin. He only has you as his parents. Yea?" nandira said as she stroked Renata's cheek. He can't if Lord Kendra takes Renata from him. Nandira doesn't want that.

"Your mother's right, Ren. You better focus on raising Justin than on remembering something that just makes you sick. We're all so worried about you, baby. Okay?" max advised his daughter.

"Good Dad, Mom. Sorry for making you all worried. I didn't do it on purpose" Renata said reluctantly. He then woke up, but his head seemed to be circling. Afraid of falling, soon Renata clings to her arms.

"Let me help you get to your room, yes" said Nandira worriedly seeing Renata as she was holding back pain. "Next time don't you dare do something like this again, Ren. Let your memory not recover, which is important you and Justin healthy. Understood?"

Renata nodded. With the help of her father and mother, Renata finally went back into the room. He very carefully lay on the bed, worried in case his gestures disturbed his son's rest.

"Now sleep. I don't wake up too early tomorrow morning. Let me and the waiters prepare breakfast and also stock up for Justin. Okay?" whispered Nandira then kissed Renata on the forehead. She stroked her hair before stepping out of the room.

"Don't think anything. Just think about how you and Justin can always laugh happily. I love you, son. Good night," whispered Max.

"Good night to Dad. Thank you," Renata said with a wry smile.

After the death of her father and mother, Renata tried to close her eyes. But a strange shadow instead appeared in the mind. Not wanting to make others worry, Renata finally decided to sleep while hugging Justin. He hoped this would make him fall asleep faster. And it's true. It didn't take long for Renata to close her eyes after embracing her happiness medicine. Justin Goh, his son who is about to have his third birthday.
