The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)

The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)
Bern 115s

"Why did you ask me to come over these nights, Bern?" asked Karl while he sat his ass on the sofa. He then looked closely at his brother who was silent moody while frowning. "Everything's fine, isn't it?"

"Karl, just before dinner Justin said something very strange. He said Amora did not fall into the river, but slipped on the rocks. What does that mean?"

Bern looked at Karl. Her forehead skin seemed to shrivel due to the stress of thinking about her son's words. Unable to find a bright spot, she calls Karl to come to the apartment. His new home is not yet finished. So for a while he'll still be staying here.

"Amora didn't fall into the river? Meaning how? I don't understand."

"That's what's been bothering me since. Is it possible before the car got into the Flow river to have taken out the Amora first? But because Amora was injured her leg accidentally slipped on the rocks that made her drift in the river? God, this riddle is making my head hurt!"

"Only Flow is the only person who can explain what really happened three years ago. And to be honest, the accident had absolutely nothing to do with me. I swear on my own life!" karl said once again confirmed that the accident experienced by Flow and Amora was not the result of his actions. He doesn't want Bern to get back into suspicion.

"You just calm down. I didn't mean to suspect you. I was just confused about what really happened until Justin could talk like that. You think maybe not that Amora didn't fall victim to the tragedy three years ago?"

"That's possible." Karl sighed. "But, Bern. Didn't Aunt Nandira and Uncle Max find Renata in the river? This is how the hell, I got confused."

"Indeed, they found Renata floating in the river. But what is confusing here is the speech of Justin who said that Amora did not fall into the river, but slipped on the rocks. I see,"

"Hmmm, it looks like your future in-laws haven't told you all about the incident. If it was true that they saved Amora while floating in the river, Justin should not have had the vision. I think you need to ask them for another explanation!"

Bern speechless. Should she ask this matter again to her future in-laws?

(Mother Nandira's condition is not good right now. It seems I have to postpone this question for a while. Wait after everything calms down again and I will question them in detail. Hopefully there is no other secret behind this incident.)

"I heard you went to the Shin family residence. What was? Did they do anything to your detriment?" ask Karl while sipping a drink. The tail of his eyes glanced towards Bern who was like a shock hearing his question. "Not spying, I just want to make sure all my family members are okay. No offense."

"Little." Bern joking. Then he smiled. "Sometimes I still forget that you're no longer a demon. Sorry,"

"Look easy."

Twin brothers who have been involved in hot conflicts now both laugh at their silliness. The togetherness was so warm, making them unconscious was being watched by an invisible figure from the window. The figure looks happy. Clearly happy. The dispute that occurred to his great-grandchildren has been resolved. Even the two are now joking without harboring hatred. The power of God is incredible. There is not a single promise that misses where behind all trials, there will be happiness.

"What are you doing at Mr. Kendra's house? Make calculations with him or tell them about your marriage to Renata?" asked Karl after laughing. His heart was plong. The moment that he had been waiting for finally happened as well.

"I don't really want to be in touch with them anymore. But Ruth suddenly appears at Renata's residence and calls her Amora. The girl messed up, so I intended to teach her a little lesson. But," ....

Bern's words paused. The feeling of sadness re-wired in the mind when remembered by the condition of Mr. Kendra. The man who in fact is his future father-in-law, now is like a very sad undead.

"Are you sure you're gonna bring them together?"

"I'm sure I can't be selfish, Karl. Because after all Mr. Kendra is Renata's real father. I can't deny this fact."

"It's true, but are you ready if Renata recalls his past?" ask Karl to make sure. It was a bit of a shock that he heard Bern's decision to allow Renata to meet with his biological family.

"I have to be ready to face it. Whether it's Renata or Amora, they're mine. Aye, right?" bern replied casually.

A cold wind suddenly blew into the room where Karl and Bern were. And that makes their nape a great bristling. While gulping, they threw glances at each other. The gripping atmosphere that was present there was quite familiar.

"Grandmother Zhu, is that you?" ask Karl to vent. He then circulated his gaze around the room to look for the existence of an invisible figure he had accidentally seen.

There's no answer. However, the gust of cold wind and also the gripping atmosphere was still strongly felt.

"If it's you, give us a sign so we don't think any strangers have infiltrated. You ....

Karl and Bern both jumped in shock when they heard the sound of glass breaking. They immediately looked towards the window. Blank. There was nothing there but a moving curtain. Though the room itself was very closed, then where did the wind come from? Could it be that the movement of the curtain was a sign that Grandma Zhu was really there?

"It's a pity that Justin isn't here. If there was, he would have pranced the fun of being visited by his great-grandmother," said Bern no longer afraid. He tried to act ordinary even though his heart kept pounding strongly.

"Should I ask the guards to pick her up?" goda Karl prank.

"Don't be crazy. It's already night. My son must have slept!"

"Justin would have woken up if he had been told that Grandma Zhu was here. You don't seem to have memorized your son's attitude. Justin really likes his great-grandmother."

"Even if I like it, I still won't let your men bother him. Justin will have to attend school as usual tomorrow. I don't want to rest so disturbed because of this problem. Know you!"

Bern continues to scold Karl who insistent on wanting to pick Justin up to the apartment. Just crazy. It's almost midnight. Only a crazy parent would allow their child to stay up all in vain just to meet an invisible figure. Huh.
