The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)

The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)
Chapter 32

“Bern, i ….

“I what?” bern was impatient. He moved his body forward so that he could look at Renata from a short distance away. “I what, Renata? Is it true that you had a car accident three years ago?”

Huaaa

The tension that was enveloping Bern and Renata's feelings broke as they heard Justin's rather loud cry. Reflek Bern immediately stood up and then ran towards the boy to check what was happening. Renata who saw that rushed to follow. His heart stopped beating when he heard his son scream.

“What is this?” ask Bern. His eyes were wide, and he found Justin sobbing while holding his bleeding knee. Immediately Bern crouched down then lifted Justin's body and sat him on the lap. “Jeez, Justin. Why do your feet bleed like this. What happened?”

“Huaaa, Dad. Uncle is so naughty. The car is evil,” Justin fights while sobbing. He screamed again as the wounds on his legs throbbed back.

“Uncle? Which uncle?”

Bern's view turned to Renata employees who had accompanied Justin to play. He was upset, but still remembered that he had no right to scold the employee.

“What is this?” renata asked as she held onto her painful chest looking at the state of her son. His feet felt weak.

“Nona Renata, the man who came here at that time made a tantrum. Just then when Justin and I were playing hide and seek he suddenly came and immediately grazed Justin's feet using his car. When I wanted to catch up, he had already escaped. Looks like he was still angry from your rejection back then!”

“Men?”

Renata looked at Bern fretfully. He then nodded.

“You love?”

Somewhat jealous when Bern heard the words of Renata's employees. Something was stirring in his heart, I don't know what. And that made him feel really upset.

“Not, that person is not my lover. Just a customer who happens to want to make me his girlfriend. I refused at the time, and it seemed to offend him. But I had no idea that man would hurt Justin to vent his anger on me. He's desperate!” renata replied while crouching beside Justin. His hands stretched out wiping the sand attached to his son's feet. So hurt. His heart felt dir*mas saw a wound that was still bleeding. “Bern, can you help me get Justin inside? The wound must be treated immediately so as not to deteriorate.”

Without saying a word Bern immediately stood up and brought Justin into the store. His jaw seemed to tighten, indicating that he was currently in a bad mood. I don't know why, Bern doesn't know. Clearly he was very upset. He was fed up for no reason.

It's my eyes seeing wrong what not yes. Why does Bern look like someone who's holding on to anger? Was she jealous because I told her about the man?

While continuing to wonder inwardly, Renata went to the kitchen to fetch water to clean up the wound on Justin's leg. Not to forget also he took medicine and also plaster to wrap the wound. And when he arrived before Bern, he was confused when he found the man's face and eyes reddened. Bizarrely.

“Bern, what's wrong with you? Pain?” Renata ventured to ask. He walked slowly towards her, then gulped as this man stared at her sharply.

“Other times while at work don't wear revealing clothes, Renata. That way you won't attract men. Understand!” reprimanded Bern with eyes glistening furiously.

“Clothes open?”

“Yes. That's why the man wanted to make you his lover. You should understand that men today very rarely have a good heart. See now. Justin is the victim, right?”

“But Bern, all this time I've never worn clothes like you mentioned just now. I am aware of my status, so it is impossible to expand the body to attract the attention of men. You misunderstood me!” sahut Renata defended himself.

“Mistake what. Obviously the man ….

Realizing that his attitude had frightened Justin, Bern quickly apologized to him. But his heart still remains cobbled on Renata, making him indifferent when this woman began to treat wounds on Justin's legs.

“Justin, I'm not yelling at Mom. But I was yelling at Uncle who hit you. Don't be afraid,” Bern said as gently as possible. His hand moved around stroking the boy's back, hoping that his explanation just now could bring him back to calm down.

“But that Uncle isn't here, Dad. Uncle has gone with his wicked car.”

“Iya Dad knows. That's why I was so upset. I'm sorry I scared Justin. I promise you next time I won't scream. Okay?”

“Appointment?”

Justin straightened his body and then thrust his little finger in front of his father's face. Bern who did not understand what Justin meant, immediately looked towards Renata.

“What finger is also injured?” bern asked in a small voice.

“No, Justin's finger is fine,” Renata replied with a smile. For some reason he loved to see the look of confusion on Bern's face when faced with his son's behavior. That looks so sweet. Really am.

“If not hurt why did he point his finger at me?”

Renata looked back at Bern.

“When Justin and I made a promise of something, it would usually link our little fingers together. It is a sign that the promise we made is valid and will not be broken. So.”

“Oh, That means.”

After being told by Renata, Bern immediately linked his little finger to Justin's little finger. The two of them then laughed, but not for long as Renata used the opportunity to drip a red medicine on Justin's wound before wrapping it up. Bern then carried Justin who was still hysterical because of the loss. As for Renata, the woman went to the kitchen to wash her hands and return the medicine to its original place.

“Father, peri,” whining Justin in a sling. His head fell on his father's shoulder. Comfortable.

“Just a little sore. Its alright. Justin's a great little guy, isn't he?” sahut Bern patiently comforted this three-year-old boy.

“Not, Dad. Mom, Grandma Nandira, Grandpa Max, and the nanny aunt all said that Justin was a great kid, not a great little guy. Wrong father.”

“Oh, really?”

Justin nodded. Unknowingly her crying stopped on her own as she and her father began to discuss male matters. That's a bit, isn't it? But what really happened is not what you imagined. Bern and Justin are busy discussing about the dinosaur farm and also the ball pool in his house. Renata who came while carrying a wet towel seemed silently stunned to hear the conversation of the two men of different ages. His heart was slashed, sad because Justin and Bern looked like children and real fathers.

“Mother, come here. Dad said he'd buy me a new dinosaur. Can, right?” justin asked excitedly while shouting to ask the mother to come closer.

“Really?” sahut Renata was a bit surprised when Justin suddenly called him. He looked at Bern with intent. “Bern, thank you for your attention to Justin. But it would be nice if you don't spoil it too much. Not what, Justin's toys at home are already very much. Mubadzirs. You better teach me something that can make Justin understand the meaning of life. Because such things will be much more useful than hoarding toys that are only used as a child. Yea?"

Amora ... in-this is impossible. Amora used to say this every time I bought her expensive things. Possibly ….
