The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)

The Sovereign of the Heart (Bern & Renata)
Chapter 21

Nandira was shocked when the waiter told her that Justin had a fever last night. Still in his sleeping pajamas, he immediately ran towards Renata's room. Arriving in front of Nandira's room knocked on the door slowly before opening it.

"Ren, the waiter said Justin had a fever. Is true?" asked Nandira as she stepped towards the bed. His eyes looked sad to find the grandson who was asleep with a heat-lowering drug stuck on his forehead.

"Four hours earlier today Justin's body suddenly had a high fever, Mom. But you don't worry, I've done the first thing to help lower her body heat" Renata replied as she continued to stare at her son's pale face.

"That's weird. Lately why Justin so often sick huh. Maybe we've been feeding him wrong. That's why his body's endurance is weakened,"

"For this matter I don't know too, ma'am. Whether because something is wrong with the food or because Justin is too tired to play, one of these two factors could be the cause. But yes, this problem can still be found a way out. Most importantly, Justin's condition isn't too bad."

There was a long sigh coming from Nandira's mouth after hearing Renata's words. He then sat down, stroking his grandson's feet which were indeed quite hot.

"Pity. Justin wants a birthday, but he's been sick twice. I'm sure his body weight must be reduced a lot," said Nandira teruhuhuh. I want her to cry because she can't bear to see her granddaughter's situation like this. If only he could, Nandira would be willing to replace his illness. Really am.

"You know what else, Mom. Also called disease. They come and go as they please" Renata said. "Yes, Mom. Today I'm going to the hospital to check on Justin. I'm afraid there's another unknown disease. Not bad thinking. With Justin's condition that easily hurt makes me feel worried. Can her condition now be a symptom of another illness? So it wouldn't hurt if I brought Justin in for further inspection."

"Mom agrees with you. I'll ask your father for permission to accompany you to the hospital. Okay?"

"Well, Mom, thank you,"

After that Renata and her mother both fell silent while looking at Justin. Too bad. Never once had this child felt the affection of a father every time he fell ill. If you think of Justin's misfortune, it feels like Nandira and Renata's heart is in the iris. Strict and very painful. But they can what. Until this moment alone Renata still can not remember his past. So as sad as they are, there is still no way to find who Justin's real father is.

"Renata, have you thought about what Mom said?" nandira asked as she remembered her desire to do a DNA test on Justin and Bern.

"Please don't talk about this anymore, Mother. Justin is my son, and Bern is a stranger who accidentally met us. I want to think as hard as it feels very impossible if Bern is Justin's real father. Even if I forget the memory, I should be able to feel a slight tremor when I see it. But that didn't happen at all. That means Bern isn't someone from my past. He's not the man who has cheated on me!" renata replied firmly rejecting the mother's wishes. He doesn't want to wish more on something that isn't his. Bern is a foreigner, and will always be like that even though last night had the intention to marry him for Justin's sake.

"Yes I know, but it never hurts to try. Don't be selfish, Ren. The more days Justin grows bigger and bigger. Don't you feel sorry for seeing him who doesn't have a father? Think about his mental state as well. Mom was afraid she'd get bullied if her friends knew Justin was born without a father. Think about it carefully!"

Renata's mouth was locked tightly. He didn't not know about this, he knew very well. However, it is still impossible for Renata to let her mother do a DNA test on her son with a man whom Renata never knew at all.

"Dad," ....

Renata's daydreams fell apart when she heard Justin's muttering voice. Immediately he rubbed the corner of this little boy's eyes which suddenly let out a clear liquid. Justin crying.

"Honey, Mom's here, son. Don't sad. Yea?" whispered Renata beside Justin's ear. His chest tightened as Justin mentioned his father's name.

"Dad," ....

Justin is back. Soon, his eyes began to slowly open. He then reached out to touch his mother's face.

"Mother, Dad's sick. Justin is also sick. Poor Dad,"

"The heat has gone down, but why is Justin delirious like this, Mom?" ask Renata fretting. He then showed the test results to his mother. "According to Mom this is weird isn't it?"

"It's a little strange, because it should be with this temperature Justin can't possibly be delirious. Is that maybe the form of an inner relationship between Justin and his father huh, Ren?" sahut Nandira asked. He was surprised by himself because of it.

"Mom, Grandma. Justin's father is sick. Poor you," Justin annoyed when he was ignored by his mother and grandmother. With her condition still weak, she tried to get up while hugging a bolster pillow. "Father is sick and her legs are bleeding. Dad was crying too. That's too bad,"

"Ummm baby, were you dreaming?" renata asked as she stroked her son's slightly messy hair. "Mayn't you ask me something, hm?"

Justin nodded. Her pale face seemed resigned to waiting for a question from her mother.

"Justin knows from whom that person is Justin's father?"

"Someone said it was Justin's father, Mom. I used to carry Justin, too,"

"W-what? When did that happen, son?"

Oh my God, what kind of confession is this? For as long as Justin lived, there were only two men who ever carried him. Dad and Bern. What's the matter? Don't-don't Justin think like this because he misses his father too much huh? But he had never been delirious before like this. How strange.

"Grandma, Justin's head hurts. Sick," whined Justin before he finally started crying.

"Granny's most handsome granddaughter cup cup cup cup cup, don't cry huh. Come here Grandma is carrying," said Nandira could not bear to see her grandson in pain. Soon he took her and took her for a walk in the room.

The sound of Justin's cry grew stronger and stronger. This boy looked in a lot of pain while holding his head. Nandira who saw that became panicked herself. He then requested that Renata get ready immediately.

"Ren, this is no longer true. Now get yourself cleaned up and then we go to the hospital. Justin's pain is unnatural. I fear that there is a dangerous disease in my head. Hurry along!" nandira orders while continuing to try to calm Justin's cries. His grandson was in so much pain that Nandira wanted to cry too.

"B-well, Mother."

With turbo speed Renata immediately ran into the bathroom. As soon as possible he cut time in order to take turns preparing with the mother. With a mind that haunts many strange thoughts, Renata prepares all the needs that need to be brought to the hospital. After that, she took Justin from her mother's arms and took him out of the room.

"Mom won't be long. Waita minute. Okay?"

Renata nodded. He tries to distract Justin by offering him a mobile phone, but this doesn't work. Justin kept screaming in pain until the whole house gathered to see him. Even his father who only wore a color until running out was so worried about Justin.

Son, please don't scare me like this. Mother please,
