Chapter 39

That afternoon they enjoyed while staring at the beautiful twilight in the park, although without many words spoken but their hearts seemed to have spoken through their gazes.

"Where else do you want to go after this?" ask Vero between them eating.

"I just follow where you want to go" replied Rania because she did not know where their destination went from the beginning.

"That means if I take you to the hotel right now, then you'll just come along?!" vero tries to tempt Rania.

"Uhukis... Uhuk... Uhuk..." Rania was surprised to hear him immediately choked because he was eating something quite spicy, he patted his chest to reduce the pain caused by the food.

"Mahaha..." Vero laughed loudly while handing the bottle of mineral water he had opened to Rania.

Rania accepted it while bowing her head, then immediately gulped down half the drink. 'It turns out he can laugh off like that as well, even he is much more handsome and looks grounded if it's like that' his inner self.

"Don't look at me like that. I was just joking with my words earlier" Vero said with a smile as he looked at Rania's annoyed gaze. "If you're done with your food, let's walk again" he continued, standing up and extending his hand to Rania.

Rania hesitates to accept the offer, but as Vero continues to shake his hand before her, she is forced to accept the offer to help her stand up. They finally walked to their parked car, holding hands. The harder Rania's effort to release his hand, the tighter Vero's grip on his hand as if he wanted to show the sign of ownership to everyone in the park.

When he got to the front of the car, Vero opened the door for Rania before he could open it himself.

"Thank You Mister" said Rania, lowering her head and immediately getting into the car.

After making sure Rania was sitting comfortably in the passenger seat, she turned around the car to sit behind the wheel. They finally returned to driving in silence as if they were communicating through their hearts. Actually, Rania hesitated to start talking outside of work because she was afraid if she was wrong in acting, while Vero still tried to calm her heart that continued to pound heartlessly during their date.

Finally, after driving without a destination, they stopped at a cafe that is quite crowded on the weekend because this cafe is famous among young people today who like to find an instragable place.

They found an empty seat in the corner facing a window.

"You sit there before it gets crowded, I will order" said Vero and soon passed to queue for the menu before the queue got longer. Rania was immediately sitting at the empty table before being occupied by other visitors.

While waiting for her Boss to order, Rania who was looking at the beauty of the night through the window arrived startled by a greeting from someone.

"You! You're Rania, aren't you?!" asked a man who came to his desk.

"Hmmm...Sorry but who are you?!" said Rania who was confused who the man who greeted her.

"I'm Fikri, a classmate from Elementary School. I always sit behind you. Did you forget?" the man explained.

Rania also thought while opening the memory in her brain to remember the man, shortly afterwards she said "Aaahhh... You're that Fikri? who always gives me half your chocolate bread?" Rania remembers her childhood.

"Yes right. How are you doing?!" he said while trying to get closer to Rania.

"The news is good" someone answered the question and immediately in the middle of them.

"Sorry, but who are you? Why interrupt our conversation?" said Fikri who did not accept that there was something blocking him like this.

Vero then reached out his hand "I introduce my lover Rania" he said without hesitation.

"Well if so, if your needs are done please stay us because I do not want our date interrupted" said Vero without giving Rania a chance to explain.

Fikri who felt the subtle expulsion went away "Well I won't bother anymore. If so, excuse me Rania" he said as he passed.

Rania can only nod her head without being able to explain the misunderstanding.

"Why did Master say that? What if people misunderstand if they hear it?" rania asked as they sat down.

"Misunderstand how? Isn't that the fact that you're my lover?" answer Vero casually.

"But I haven't reciprocated your feelings sir!" rania is upset.

"It's only a matter of time until we officially become lovers" said Vero again casually while leaning on his chair.

Rania, who wanted to reply to her boss, was stopped when the waiter brought their order. Rania could only sigh trying to calm herself down.

"Drink your hot chocolate first so you can calm down" said Vero as he sipped his coffee.

'Why is it so easy to say such things without burden' Rania murmured inwardly as she sipped her chocolate drink.

"How did you progress looking for your first love?!" tanya Vero arrived without feeling guilty seeing Rania still upset.

"It's all going well, maybe soon I'll find it" rania said lying because she did not want her Boss to feel added to the wind because she had not made any progress in her search so far.

"Hmmm.so yes" said Vero while noting the change in attitude Rania who switched to eating cheese strawberry cake which was also ordered by Vero. 'It's so smart he hid the truth from me. Well, let's see when you're acting like this. Because sooner or later you'll be mine' Inner Vero.

...❁ ❁ ❁ ❁ ❁ ❁...

"Haaah.it's exhausting once a day!" exclaiming Rania while laying her body on the mattress after she was delivered home by Vero.

"How is this, until when do I have to go through all this? What would happen if I finally could not find you within the time limit as if running. Brother where are you? Don't you miss me?" he muttered as he looked at the sky of his room as if looking for an answer to his question.
