The Mafia's Asmara Cage

The Mafia's Asmara Cage
SASM - His departure

The night is getting late and the search for Samantha's body is still being carried out. The lights from the flashlight and the occasional lighthouse hit Maximo's face still pensive alone on the reef. The man has not spoken since he was pulled to the mainland by SAR team officers. His efforts fail to catch up and find Samantha falling into the vast ocean.

The search has been under way for eight hours, but Samantha's body has not been found. Only Wilson's body was found lifeless. According to the SAR team, the man's head hit the reef and several of his organs were damaged inside his body. His body is blushing and bulging. His body was found at a depth of six kilo meters under the sea.

SAR officers took Wilson's body to the mainland and put it in a yellow body bag with a zipper on it. The body was loaded in an ambulance to be taken to a nearby hospital.

“Master,” Paul approached Maximo who had not moved from his place. The blanket that the man used was already wet from his body. He ignored every cold air that greeted him. Samantha's definitely cooler than this, isn't she?

“SAR officers will resume search tomorrow morning. For now, they have to stop because the tidal ocean conditions make it difficult to search.” Paul tried to give his master an understanding. He understood the fear and sadness that Maximo was feeling.

“No, they can't stop. It's possible that Samantha is still trying to swim and wait for our help.” Just this time Maximo voiced out with a firm rejection.

“But sir,”

“NO! NO ONE CAN STOP LOOKING FOR SAMANTHA!!” maximo shouted to make Paul stunned. The man's face looked inflamed. His sharp round eyes, barking at Paul. His body trembled with overflowing anger.

Paul could only be speechless, staring at Maximo with a feeling of worry. The man seemed devastated and had no other desire than to find his woman.

“If you want to go, go. I'll stay here, I'll swim and find Samantha myself. I don't need your help.” Maximo's voice sounded vibrating despite trying hard. The man tried to go down to the rock below. But when the rock was in massage, the rock was broken, unable to support Maximo's body weight.

“Master!” Paul immediately restrains Maximo's body from falling and pulls him back up.

Maximo flicked his hand, he didn't like Paul holding it.

“Master, not only are you afraid, not only are you also the one who is sad. But you can see for yourself, the condition of the ocean does not allow us to continue the search. The waves are getting bigger and there will likely be a storm. I beg you, sir, we'll find Miss Samantha in the morning. It's so early. I will come down with you, sir. Let's find Miss Samantha together. Can sir? I beg..” Paul really pleads with his master who insists.

Maximo did not chimed, he just bowed staring at the pounding waves that broke between the rocks. The longer the waves are indeed getting bigger, which is why the SAR team stopped the search.

Maximo understood what Paul said. It's just that he is still not willing to leave Samantha a driri in the vast ocean. He imagined what if Samantha was trying to swim to her own side, but she was struggling because of the big waves. Somehow his current condition, which was clearly not the slightest trace they had obtained.

Paul could only nod obediently. He ordered some people to watch and watch over this place. “Reply report when you find out the slightest thing about Miss Samantha,” the man said before leaving.

“Good, sir,” said the guards that Paul had prepared.

The journey to the residence of Maximo was passed slowly. The man continued to pensively back there, recalling Samantha who was currently not next to him. Her sharp eyes shed tears of sadness as she realized that she had failed to protect her. He promised that he would take better care of Samantha.

Paul watched Maximo from his rearview mirror. The man was really hit. His eyes were always wet and red. He sat curled up, hugging his own cold, lonely body without Samantha.

“Defend Master, we will return to this place tomorrow morning,” inner Paul with full of worry. The depth of the night sky seems to be evidence of the dark days Maximo will pass without Samantha. He had heard from the SAR team that there was very little chance of finding Samantha alive. The waves are too big and it's possible that Samantha's body has been destroyed so they can't find it.

Hah, remembering that remark made Paul's heart fall apart. Instantly he misses his nona who really likes to tease and work on him. He longed for how Samantha was holding back a laugh when she managed to prank herself. It felt like he was willing to be worked for life by his young lady, as long as the woman returned and showed her a fine face.

Arriving at Maximo's residence, Nora greeted them with tears. He looked at Maximo with pity. It's true what Paul said that their great master was devastated. The way it goes is not as straight as usual. His body bent, as if the weight of Samantha's loss he had to bear.

“Please don't ask now. Just get Miss Samantha's room ready for big master.” Paul immediately gave orders to Nora and the woman complied. Sobbing, he tidied up Samantha's quiet and quiet room. An aromatherapy candle is lit on the table. Samantha loved the smell of this candle with her to sleep.

Sure enough, after changing clothes, Maximo chose to go to Samantha's room. The fragrance of the woman's perfume makes Maximo miss Samantha very much nearby. He laid his body on Samantha's bed, wiping the empty surface beside her. At once he seemed to see the shadow of Samantha in his arms. The woman's voice was so clear in her hearing, her laughter was adorable, that the warm gaze of her eyes made Maximo sobbing. He misses that woman very much. If only he had not arrived too late, perhaps he could still hug the woman as much as he could.

“Sam, I miss you.” The man nodded with a soft. His feelings were so broken and half his soul was like leaving and not coming back.

During the night Maximo did not close his eyes, he waited for the sun to rise and was seen at the end of the evergreen tree he used to look at with Samantha.

This night feels so long?
