The party held by William to entertain Maximo, in fact, was very bland. The party was only enjoyed by certain people, but not by Maximo. Since his arrival, Maximo has not been too excited. The man was more silent, ignoring the women who were trying to seduce him with all the dandy they had. Only Eveline seemed to be enjoying the party. There is no fatigue of the girl squirming on the dance floor, making many pairs of male eyes interested in enjoying her sensu4lit4s. It became a separate entertainment for Maximo, watching his brother enjoy his freedom.
One time Maximo went down to the dance floor. That was when Crystal forced him to dance with her. “Please don't embarrass me Max,” persuade the woman expectantly.
Although with a heavy heart, Maximo finally wanted to dance with Crystal. This is done only to appreciate the efforts of the girl's parents who intend to entertain her. The man stood in one corner of this spacious room, talking to colleagues while occasionally paying attention to Crystal and Maximo. The drink in his hand, being the friend who accompanied him witnessed the princess' happy smile. Lately the princess continued to sulk, asking William for help to get close to Maximo. So, for that reason this man held this luxurious event.
Not yet over the party they followed, Maximo has invited Eveline and Paul to go home. He felt his body was not very healthy. No, his heart still felt hollow and uninspired. He prefers to remain silent in silence rather than being in the midst of a frenetic party that makes his head dizzy.
On the way home, Maximo chose to lower the window. He longed for the last gust of the night wind he enjoyed with Samantha. The girl seemed to be sitting beside him and leaning her head on Maximo's shoulder. They did not say much, silent to each other as they stared at the bright lights of the paved streets. The lights that lit up from the building on the edge of the road, looked attractive with their diverse colors and made their eyes quite refreshed.
“Max, I really don't like that woman. Please don't make her my sister-in-law.” The voice suddenly sounded from the mouth of a girl sitting in front with Paul.
“Who do you mean?” Maximo chimed in without diverting his back from the corn man truck. That's Samantha's favorite snack.
“Who else if not glass women.” Eveline smashed it cynically. She dislikes the way Crystal looks at her cynically as if she's humbling him after finding out that Eveline was once a night woman being sold. Is that my wish? Think Eveline.
“Stop in front of Paul,” said Maximo suddenly.
Eveline and Paul turned to each other in curiosity to hear Maximo's request, although in the end Paul still stopped the speed of his car on the side of the road. Maximo got down from the luxurious limousine and walked on the sidewalk of the road. His steps were so slow, as if so enjoying the nostalgia of the night atmosphere he had spent with Samantha. He remembered, he used to run with Samantha on this sidewalk while holding a corn man.
The man went to the corn man and ordered three corn man for himself, Eveline and of course Paul. He never sits by the side of the road like this, but remembering Samantha makes it quite fun.
“I have no sympathy or feelings for Crystal. She's just the daughter of our foster father's friend.” Maximo suddenly said that, making the girl beside him turn his head while smiling.
“Good! Because if until you guys have more relationship, it looks like I can't familiarize myself with that woman. She is very much different from Samantha.”
Maximo looked down and smiled to hear the name of the woman called.
“Sorry Max, I didn't mean to make you sad by reminding Samantha.” Eveline immediately regained his senses, looking at the pensive older brother.
“No problem. I like people close to me to call Samantha. Because it means they also know that the woman was once beside me.” Just this time Maximo said wisely and calmly. Not pointing a gun at anyone who calls Samantha's name.
“Of course, he was once by your side. Next to me, too. He gave me a lot of help until I finally met my handsome brother again.” Eveline said sweetly. He put his hand on Maximo's arm and rested his head on the firm arm.
“When you can accept Samantha's departure, promise to find a better woman than her. Do not compare it, so that the woman you choose does not feel hurt, Max.” Eveline continued his sentence as a form of warning. He turned his head, to look at Maximo's grim face.
“He's the best, Max.” Eveline chimed in on the older brother and the man nodded with certainty.
Not long after, corn man Maximo's order was completed. Each one got one and started enjoying it, though the smoke still seemed to be billowing. This winter really feels piercing because lived alone by Maximo. Luckily there was this little girl beside him who could occasionally make him laugh. His manner of speaking was straightforward, similar to Samantha's.
“I ate this food when I was a kid. But now it tastes a little different,” comments Eveline on the food that fills her mouth.
“Yes, it feels different. Depending on whom you enjoy it.” Maximo felt the same way. Corn man in his hand was not as good as he had eaten with Samantha.
“But at the very least, this food can make me full Max. I want to sleep well tonight.” The girl enjoyed the food so much that Maximo gave her a new one that she bit a bit.
“Go home with Paul. I have business first,” he said.
“Where are you going? Can't I come?” The girl looked at Maximo with full investigation.
“I want to be alone. No need to look for me,” the man moved from his place, stopped the passing taxi.
“Please don't die yes Max. I've had a few days to feel a better life with you. Don't make me cry,” Eveline shouted from her place.
Maximo simply smiled, then waved his hand at Eveline before leaving in a taxi he was riding in.
“Where is he going?” Eveline asked Paul who was sitting next to her.
“Meet her love.” It was only Paul's answer that made Eveline's forehead wrinkle.
“What feelings of love can make someone that destructive, Paul?” Eveline asked back.
“I've never felt it, miss.” The man spoke flatly.
“You suck! Try to fall in love. I think there's one woman that suits you. May I help you to shorten it?” The girl fadingly asked as she brought her face closer to Paul.
Paul just smiled, I don't know which woman his young lady meant.
