On the veranda of her room, Samantha was sitting alone. He deliberately opened the window of his room wide and let fresh air in. He looked at the star-filled night sky as he rubbed his stomach that occasionally felt rustling. Not a movement, just a subtle swish under his stomach.
The doctor, who examined her fetus a few hours ago, said it was due to fetal movement. It's just that it doesn't feel strong because the size of the fetus is still very small. His heartbeat was normal and strong, his movements were also active. Most importantly, he grew up well and healthy.
Samantha still smiled when she remembered that she was two-bodied. He did not expect that when he fell into the ocean, this fetus was already residing in his womb.
“You really are Maximo boy son. Very strong and brave.” Samantha said softly. He smiled a little at the stomach he was looking at. Whether this child hears it or not is clear he just wants to talk to express his feelings.
“You know son, your dady is very possessive of me. He loved me so much, but it often upset me that his shadow just kept following me. I'm sure when she finds out I'm pregnant with you, she'll love you very much. Please don't grab her whole attention huh."
"Right now you have to be patient a little more, we still have to fight to get out of this place. I will do everything I can to get out of this place, I hope, you will fight with me.” Samantha's heart rippled softly as she said that line, she was eager to tell Maximo that she was still alive. Wouldn't that man be worried about her?
Armed with that determination, Samantha tried to get out of her wheelchair. One of the effects of a coma is quite long, making these two dungunganya weak. But there was no reason for Samantha to give up. He brought his wheelchair closer to the porch, then lowered one by one his feet with both hands. He also bent the footing of his wheelchair.
“Calm Sam, relax. Do it slowly and carefully. You can definitely.” While adjusting her breath, Samantha tried to encourage herself. He held on to the fence and slowly raised his body.
“Akh, shit!” A soft snort was heard clearly as he failed to lift his body and instead fell back on the wheelchair. But he did not give up. He clung to the fence again and tried to stand up, but fell down again.
Samantha tried to calm herself down. He looked at his two weak legs. The two legs hit him from top to bottom.
“Come on, feel this pain. So you can run. You're part of my body, I'm the one who's supposed to set you up to move or be still. It's not me who has to give up on your desires!” Samantha beat her legs with vigor. Occasionally it punctures the numb leg that has lost that feeling.
“Focus Sam, this leg is still there. He can't move because you don't move him. This leg did not feel anything, but he was sturdy. Not broken and not injured. It's just about your mind thinking this leg is weak. Come on, wake up Sam! Wake up!!” Samantha shouted at herself fieryly. It still did not feel anything even though he was beating his legs with his powerful fist. He also tried to hit her with a vase on the table, resulting in a broken vase and her feet bleeding slightly.
“Come on Sam, you can definitely Sam. You can definitely!” Samantha kept motivating herself even though she realized her feet had not felt anything. “Come on Sam, you can't end up here. You can't part with the person you love. Nor can you live with a man who can only deceive you. Come on Sam,” Samantha starts sobbing. He was beginning to despair about his situation. The blood that started to come out of his skin layer was mixed with tears that dripped without being asked.
“Argh!” finally Samantha upset herself because she still did not manage to feel anything even though the skin of her legs had been scratched with a broken vase until it bled. Crying, he reached back to his double fence, trying to stretch his body as he floated his body in the air. Didn't he learn it in taekwondo?
Slowly, the foot can survive. Although not feeling anything slowly Samantha could stand while holding on to the fence. It's just that he can't step up yet. His feet are too heavy.
“Good job Sam, at least you have proven that your legs are still sturdy and not broken.” Samantha smiled with satisfaction. He tried to get back into his wheelchair, but when he was about to grab a wheelchair hand, suddenly the wheelchair shifted.
Brug!
“Akh!” Samantha complaining. He fell on the floor and both of his legs hit the broken glass. His palm was also injured by a splinter vase. Fortunately he did not fall on his stomach because both hands could still hold his body weight.
“SAM!” Gerald came at the right time. “Jeez Sam, you why?” The man immediately approached Samantha and lifted her body off the floor. He carried Samantha on the sofa in Samantha's room.
“I'm fine Gerald, just dropped. Don't care about me.” Samantha shook Gerald's hand which was still coiled around her waist.
“You bleed Sam, must be very sick.” Gerald noticed Samantha's feet bleeding quite a lot. He immediately took a tissue and wiped the blood on Samantha's leg. But the blood will not stop.
“No need to overdo Gerald, my legs are paralyzed and numb. Where might I feel pain.” Samantha spoke cynically.
But a Samantha is not broken. “You apologize for the little things, but forget the big mistakes you should regret.” Again, Samantha's words sounded increasingly cynical.
“What error do you mean? I apologized for lying to you, Sam. What is less?!” Gerald started to get hooked. He got out of his place and threw a tissue in his hand violently. He also cupped his face with both hands and rubbed it rough. Inexhaustible with Samantha's endless anger.
“My point is, you made a mistake not just by lying and deceiving me. You also separated me from the man I love and the father of my son. Get me back to Maximo's house, Gerald!” Samantha shouted loudly at Gerald.
“ARGH! NAY! I'll never return you to the side of the maximo. I love you Sam. You are mine sam, only mine!! He has taken so many things from me, then I will not be able to take back something precious to me as well for him!” gerald firmly filled with cries of anger.
“You shortsighted Gerald. Very shortsighted!” Samantha squeaked at the man. His eyes were full of disappointment. He really did not recognize the figure of Gerald in front of him. Or maybe he doesn't know who Gerald really is.
“Not me being petty, Sam. But Maximo. If you knew what he did when you were like this.” Gerald approached Samantha and gripped her chin in annoyance. Like this man has dark eyes.
“I don't trust you Gerald. I know Maximo best in appeal to you or anyone.” Samantha said firmly.
“Oh yes? Then you see this,” Gerald pulled out his phone and showed Samantha a photo.
“See Sam, besides you are considered dead, the man you love is dancing with other women. Waahh, this man seemed to enjoy his moment with the woman. You know him, don't you?” Gerald said with satisfaction as he showed a photo of Maximo dancing with Crystal. Their distance was very close, Crystal even wrapped her hands around Maximo's neck. The two stares clashed.
At once, Samantha's heart was broken and wounded to the point of pain. He shook Gerald's hand which grabbed his chin and turned his face away. He no longer wanted to look at the photos.
“You're satisfied to see Sam? Look, like this is the behavior of the man you love. Not better than me.”
“DIAM!!!” shouts Samantha with a fiery cry. He looked at Gerald full of anger and the man just smirked as if he had won.
“I'm the winner, Sam. Why still reject me? Have we never had the same feeling? What's wrong with repeating that feeling with more mature?” the look on the man's face turned soft, staring at Samantha's pair of hazel eyes.
“Out,” pinta Samantha.
“No, I'll treat you first.” Gerald persisted by taking tissue.
“EXIT JERK!!!” Again Samantha screamed not dumbstruck, until her voice echoed in the room that was quite spacious room.
Gerald stopped. Yes, he was forced to stop after seeing Samantha who was panting while holding her stiffened stomach. The woman stared at Gerald moments later, her clear eyes shedding tears that she could not bear.
Samantha rubbed her tears violently and turned her face away from Gerald. “Come out Gerald, I want to rest,” said the girl stammeringly.
Gerald could only bow while exhaling his coarse breath. He knew exactly what Samantha was feeling. He actually still wanted to accompany the girl, treating her injuries. But he could not force his desire. With a heavy heart the man moved and walked backwards out of Samantha's room. Leaving Samantha alone while busily wiping away her falling tears.
“You jerk Max! I make sure you won't be able to continue your life calmly,” Samantha's inner self as she growls of annoyance. The prejudice changed direction. A jealous woman can be crazy.
