The Mafia's Asmara Cage

The Mafia's Asmara Cage
SASM - Mutually release

The meeting with William ended in tension. William and Maximo both put guns on each other. Their positions are equally threatened. In terms of the number of people, it is clear William lost to Maximo. He looked around, the guns ready to put bullets in his body, while he was not ready to die.

William had to lower his gun. For a while he had to bury his sense of regret deeply because there was something more important, which was to check on his daughter's condition first.

“Other times I will kill you in a very cruel way, Max.” The man still threatened Maximo.

“I wonder when that time comes.” Maximo replied casually. He gave William's cell phone to Paul for careful inspection.

“Where is my daughter?” This man was very worried about his daughter.

Maximo did not chim in, he walked in front of William, showing directions for the old man. Samantha and Paul followed behind. They breathed a sigh of relief as there was finally no firefight taking place.

On the fourth floor they are currently. Maximo takes William into his study and sees Crystal lying on the couch. The girl closed her eyes tightly. William immediately approached his daughter, sitting down beside the child's body while giving thanks in his heart. He had a very cold Crystal hand.

“He only fell asleep because of the effect of the drug. After sixteen hours he will wake up. Maybe it could be faster because he is an active user of illegal drugs.” Maximo explained without asking. He stood leaning against his desk looking at the man. William was really anxious and examined his daughter's body carefully.

“How do you get to know the drug dealer?” Maximo continues his curiosity to discuss the man who gave William the antidote.

“He called me when he wanted to buy one of my casinos.” William answered in truth, then sat down on the sofa, right beside his daughter's feet.

A glass of wyne was poured over by Paul for William and the man looked alert upon seeing it. Maybe fear of being poisoned.

“I am not a coward who kills opponents with poison.” Maximo confirmed it. He spread out one hand as a signal to the woman at the door to get closer to him. Samantha approached the man and stood beside Maximo. He put his gun on the table, not too far away.

“I think someone is trying to complain to us,” William said as he looked at Maximo sharply.

Maximo nodded slowly, he had already guessed that. He did feel that lately a lot of things have gone wrong around him. Including about the attack on his residence some time ago.

“The man asked me to kill you. But it looks like I failed and the man will collect his promise to me.” An agitated William gulped back his drink with a huff. It was hard to get the bitter liquid into his stomach.

“Then, you will do it?” Maximo challenged the old man.

“This time no, as a form of my appreciation to my late friend. But if there is another opportunity that makes us quarrel because you made this kind of mistake, I do not hesitate to do it.”

Maximo gave a small smile hearing the old man's reply before him. William was always arrogant, but Maximo knew exactly the limits of this man.

“Do not bother me, because I do not hesitate to reply you.” Maximo gave a comparable warning and made the man shut up. He knows exactly how Maximo solved his problem.

The two men looked coldly. William actually wanted to say that the man might be Michael, but he had no solid evidence for his statement. “What if it turns out that your brothers are still alive and want the business empire of Cortez, will you give them a share?” William asked to know the view of the man in front of him.

“You kissed their whereabouts?” Maximo prefers clarity over suppositions.

“Entaiah, but I was thinking maybe they're still alive and somewhere. Are waiting for your arrival to save them or could be making a plan to bring you down. I don't know exactly what they're thinking, but for them maybe Cortez isn't fair enough to treat the three of you.” William's sentence is quite long if considered as a warning, this is more on the suspicions that he hid.

After the death of William and his daughter, Maximo sat alone in his study. While looking at the photo of him with his two brothers, Maximo's mind wandered in an uncertain direction. Only a glass of wyne accompanying him untangled the tangled threads of all the later events that had befallen him.

There were a lot of things he was thinking about, but there was no end he had found yet. Everything is still difficult for him to explain. William's question a moment ago about his brother, made Maximo imagine that maybe his two brothers were still alive. What if they really need Maximo's help? Are they having trouble coming back?

Hah, Maximo is getting restless. He sipped his drink again even though his anxiety did not go away. The endless thought made the man finally decide to go see Samantha. Usually his feelings are much better after meeting Samantha.

“Nona Samantha is resting sir. He still doesn't want to eat.” That sentence that Maximo heard from Nora, his servant. She just came out of Samantha's room.

“I'll meet him,” timpal Maximo who continues his steps towards Samantha's room.

The door of the room was tightly closed. When Maximo opened it, he saw Samantha sitting on her balcony, looking at the tip of the evergreen leaves that would soon blacken in the evening.  He hugged his own body which was uncomfortable.

“What makes my woman not want to eat?” Maximo's hand stretched out in a circle around Samantha's waist and hugged the woman from behind. Samantha's body was stunned, shocked but soon realized when it turned out that Maximo was holding her.

He leaned his head against Maximo's chest and Maximo happily kissed Samantha's neck to the top of her head.

“How are you doing with William? Does he still intend to kill you?” Samantha was curious about it. He sees the earnestness in William's eyes when he says he will one day kill Maximo.

“No need to worry. All this time, it wasn't only William who wanted to kill me and as you can see, I'm still fine. So don't think too far.” This time Maximo wrapped his hands around Samantha's neck. The girl turned her head and Maximo kissed her lips gently.

“I'm worried about you, Max.” Samantha was very serious about her words.

“I can feel that. But, do not let the worry that kills us slowly. Until now you have not filled your stomach, do you want to lose just like that with the intimidation and fear that people are creating out there?” Maximo tightened his embrace and slowly rubbed Samantha's flat stomach.

The girl shook her head, “No,” she said.

Maximo gave a small smile, he touched his nose to Samantha's nose, making her body quite curved to compensate for Samantha's height. She loved to breathe Samantha's breath which made her feel alive.

“Let's have dinner outside. I miss walking alone with you and sitting face to face at a red table with a romantic atmosphere.” The man whispered something beautiful in Samantha's ear.

Samantha smiled slightly, Maximo breathing in her ear, making her hair bristling, but she enjoyed this.

“Hem, I'll get ready. You want me to wear a dress of what color?”

"It would be better without a thread" Maximo replied.

Samantha just laughed at her man's words. He let Maximo dip his fingers before letting go of his hand and letting him go to get ready. Maximo was able to breathe a sigh of relief as he finally managed to persuade Samantha to eat. It is Paul's job to prepare a romantic and extraordinary place to eat.

"Paul, please choose a comfortable place for them."
