“Omong-by the way, who is this guy, Lyan?” Laxus pointed towards Master Gyo. “The aura feels vague but I don't think it's so foreign either. Who, the hell, is he?”
“Ah, correct. I wonder who this guy is,” White said. Aside from sensing the familiar faint aura of the silver-haired man beside Lyan, the strength level of that person was also unable to be measured by him.
“Eh yes, where is Master Gyo?” ask Ursula. “Didn't you guys come back because you've managed to put all the pieces of his soul together?”
Raysmith, Laxus and White suddenly gasped at Ursula's question. They only realized that the fox figure had not been seen since. The eyes of the three of them grew twice as big as usual. Seeing Master Gyo chuckling, corroborating their conjecture.
“Don't tell me that he...” The three of them simultaneously said so while pointing at the silver-haired man.
“True, she's Master Gyo.”
Lyan's words made them all shocked.
“Cannot be!” Laxus was the one who seemed to be the least receptive to it. “How can a fox have a human form?!”
“Could certainly, Junior.” Master Gyo chuckled again. “I know you're acting so out of envy I'm already more handsome than you are now.”
“Must be! How could I be envious of that matter! The whole world also knows that I am the most handsome man in the universe!”
They also started arguing for a while. After debating Master Gyo conveys a greeting from Hex to Laxus.
Laxus is confused because Master Gyo refers to Hex as their student. I don't have a student named Hex.
The atmosphere in that place instantly changed as Endless descended from the sky, landing among them.
Lyan's, Master Gyo, Light and Youl's countenances simultaneously turned cold.
Endless returned their cold gazes with a friendly smile. “I congratulate you guys. Not only did you manage to reunite all the pieces of the fox hermit soul .. Astaroth also managed to get rid of.”
Lyan just kept quiet with her hands clenched hard.
Laxus and the others were again surprised to hear this.
While Snow suddenly remembered a few months ago when he was with the Demon General and the Eagle Commander, their bodies suddenly became shredded to leave the head alone. The Demon General said that what happened to them at that time was caused by a curse that would bring them to death if Astaroth was killed.
However, as their bodies miraculously recovered, their suspicions regarding Astaroth's death began to waver because if Astaroth died they should have experienced it as well. Their bodies would not be able to be whole again like that.
Snow did not tell his comrades because he did not know clearly the strange phenomenon that befell the Demon General and the Eagle Commander. Upon hearing Endless' words, he felt that Astaroth might have been completely subverted and Lyan and the others had found a way to undo the curse until the Demon General and Eagle Commander had survived.
Snow smiled faintly. If it were true so no wonder the strength level of his comrades who had just returned could not be measured by him.
“For that problem we will hear it from them later, White,” Snow said. “We should let them rest first because they just returned from the trip.”
They finally let Lyan and her new comrades arrive for a break first. The next day Lyan told all that had happened during their time in the Continent of Light to her comrades.
Everyone was shocked to hear Light and Yuna had now become the Hermit of the Universe. But they were even more shocked when they heard that Lyan had entered a new realm that far surpassed the ascetic level. For the first time they heard of the Xora level that could make anyone who achieved it would be on par with the gods and demons.
Hearing that Lyan could even defeat Astaroth who was a high-level demon by himself, all of them estimated that Lyan had become a monstrous high-level Xora. No one expected the event to happen but everyone was happy because Lyan whom they had always followed had become a powerful figure capable of matching gods and demons.
*****
One week later.
Lyan looked to be on a hill while looking at the stars in the sky that adorned the silence of the night. He occasionally let out a long sigh, throwing away the bad feeling that was haunting him at this moment.
“Do I have to finish it now?” muttered Lyan softly with a restless expression. His feelings were now a mess because something was too burdensome for his mind.
Moments later he sighed again in doubt about his own decision.
Suddenly Lyan was startled by the appearance of a transparent shield covering her as well as felt by her a terrifying powerful aura. Lyan immediately turned around while crossing her two arms forward to withstand the invisible attack, making her drag quite a distance away.
“What are you doing?! Didn't I say I don't want to see you again?!” Lyan was enraged when she found the figure that attacked her suddenly was none other than Lilith.
