The Legend Of Lyan 2

The Legend Of Lyan 2
Blood Devils

Other than Lyan, there was no one who was not surprised to see the appearance of the man. No one realized secretly they had been stalked by someone.

This made Yuna, Light, Youl and Master Gyo instantly raise their vigilance. They realized that the man was not an indiscriminate person.

While Hex snorted in annoyance. This was not the first time Venom had suddenly appeared and made him startled. “Venom! What do you really want?!”

“For a long time no see, Hex,” Venom said with a flat expression. His gaze was then shifted towards Lyan's comrades who looked wary of him. “Do not worry. I have no bad intentions.”

“Cannot be! then you can't possibly eavesdrop on our conversation!” Master Gyo did not believe Venom's words. He was sure the man had a certain intent.

Lyan raised her hand, hinting at Master Gyo to remain calm.

“Did you still not find what you want from us? I've been watching keep following us for the last few weeks.”

During the journey towards the ancient tribe's hideout, Lyan had already noticed that someone was following them secretly. That person was definitely not an ordinary person as it could make even a Divine Hermit like Hex unable to realize it.

Lyan decided to allow the person to continue following him while figuring out what the mysterious figure was aiming for. For a few days left that person still did nothing and just watched over them, making Lyan even more curious about what that person actually wanted.

Still not finding any answer and the figure still kept hiding watching them, Lyan finally decided to reveal the existence of the figure when he had gathered with all his colleagues.

Lyan's words again made his comrades shocked. Especially Light, Hex and Master Gyo who were unaware of anything at all were following them all along.

“I've guessed. You are the owner of that great power. A power that can shake a continent. Strength that can attract the attention of Mr. Astaroth to make him appear.”

Venom smiled faintly. Still remembered by him the great power that shaped giant eyes in the sky that was so terrible that it made him depressed.

Since then Venom decided to look for the owner of the power until he finally met with Lyan. Venom could feel the aura that the young man had was weak, but at the same time it also felt dangerous. Out of curiosity for the young man who had a unique aura, Venom decided to keep an eye on the young man because in addition to being curious, his instinct always told him that the young man was the one he had been looking for all this time.

Lyan nodded slowly. He understood the intent of ‘the great power’ that Venom spoke of.

“You have found the person you are looking for. Then what do you want now?”

“Kill Mr. Astaroth,” Venom replied with a flat expression. “Only you can do it.”

“Do not joke at a time like this, damn it!” Hex took the man seriously. Just like the others, they did not believe the person who had always served Astaroth like Venom instead asked Lyan to finish off Astaroth.

“Hex, as an ancient tribe you were lucky enough that your former leader had cast the binding spell that Lord Astaroth planted in each tribe. Descendants of the ancient tribe his memory will not fade in the slightest about the great secret of Lord Astaroth. Otherwise, you will not continue to remain rebels for hundreds of years.”

Hex gasped at Venom's words. “Tu-wait! You know this problem? Don't tell me you're not tied to a binding spell?”

Venom shook his head. “I stay tied, Hex. But since I have the ability to store memory memories, I can re-examine a series of events reflected in the memory mirror. Thanks to that I managed to retain my memory.”

Venom raised his hand, a mirror suddenly appeared on it.

The mirror began to emit light before revealing Venom was fighting against hundreds of blood-red creatures.

“This is one of my memories stored in the mirror. Mr. Astaroth used me to strengthen them.”

“I-i-it ..” Youl felt familiar with the hundreds of blood red creatures that were visible inside the mirror. They looked extremely ferocious and continued to attack Venom even though their bodies had been destroyed.

“They are Blood Devils. Creatures that Astaroth created at the expense of millions of lives on this continent.” Hex clenched his hand hard.

“Ju-millions of life?!” Master Gyo's eyebrows shot up.

Hex nodded.

“This has been happening for hundreds of years. Every year there are at least more than ten tribes sacrificed for this creature. With the binding spell Astaroth had planted, the memories regarding the vanished tribe would be erased in the memory of the inhabitants of this continent.”

Hex continued his conversation. “Ancient tribes like us are lucky because our predecessors were able to remove the binding spell. But we also realize that in the next hundred years after all the tribes are pulverized, we will be next. Therefore we continue to do rebellion.”

“Although it is said to be rebellion, it is actually just nonsense. Honestly speaking. Not a single living creature of this continent could defeat him. If Astaroth wanted to, he could even find our hiding place easily. For hundreds of years we are only lucky to survive because this continent still has many tribes that can be pulverized.”

Hearing Hex's long story made them all feel angry.

Lyan adjusted her breathing to dampen her anger. He looked back at the mirror and saw that Venom had killed a portion of the Blood Devils, but the creature came back to life and turned increasingly ferocious, making Venom even more difficult.

“So you said Astaroth used you to strengthen this creature. Would they get stronger if killed?” Just like Youl, Lyan also felt familiar with beings like the Blood Devils.

Venom nodded slowly. “True. Of all the information I found from my memories stored in the mirror, they were originally only at the early stage Sky Energy level. But after I killed them continuously, their strength increased drastically. What I showed the mirror was the last time I fought with them, their strength back then was already equivalent to the peak of the Hermit Universe.”

Lyan looked towards Master Gyo, Youl and Yuna. The four of them had the same thoughts and were convinced that the creature was the same as the Devil Napsu they had faced long ago when it was at the outer gate of the Asmodeus Kingdom.

Only what distinguished him was the maximum limit of strength that Demon Napsu could reach was stage 8 Heavenly Energy. While the Blood Devils that were seen in the mirror were already on par with the peak of the Universe Hermits. Which meant that Blood Devils were much more dangerous and did not rule out the possibility that the power of Blood Devils could increase again until it broke through a realm that exceeded ascetic levels.
