Tree Demon

Ever since the arrival of Astaroth, the Continent of Light had become an eternal night continent. The sun that has been shining on the world is not able to eliminate the darkness on the continent. The moon is also powerless to do anything.

By utilizing the billions of souls of tribes who had died in the inter-tribal battle 500 years ago, Astaroth created a source of life energy capable of increasing the strength of the demons, including all the lives of the Light Continent who had entirely become half demons due to the resurrection that Astaroth had given them.

The round object that was above the sky of this continent was the source of such life. Its dark rays had shone upon the entire region of the Continent of Light for the past 500 years and had removed the power of the sun as well as the moon in this place.

They called the source of life the black sun. The tribes living in the Light Continent treated the black sun even more than what they did to Astaroth. In addition to worshiping him, on certain days they will also perform special rituals to glorify the black sun.

Lyan and his entourage had just stepped onto the land of the Continent of Light. Countless roots suddenly emerged from the surface of the ground. While the Devil Tree that had successfully passed by earlier had already nearly reached Yuna and Youl. Lyan won't be able to handle it. “Sial!”

“Yuna! Youl! Kalia—”

“Quiet, Lyan. Focus on your opponents. This loose Tree Devil let me take care of it.”

Yuna immediately used a form of transformation. The wings of the sea blue butterfly seemed to flap on his back.
