23. The Fight in the Blind Morning

The forest trembled as the clattering of footsteps in large numbers stepped in tandem.The army of monsters walked so slowly from the middle of the forest.

I don't know if they're doing that because they don't have night vision, or because they don't want to be scattered.

“It would be very inconvenient if the second guess was the right reason.”

If the monsters are deliberately running slowly because they do not want to be scattered, then there is someone who commands the army.

I've done a little research before, about how the relationship between monsters of different races. As a result they did not care about each other, yet did not look a bit hostile between the races.

The monsters would only huddle with monsters of their own race. Although there was no animosity between the races, they could fight each other if there were no other food source.

The monster army immediately stopped upon hearing the Orc cry that I defeated. But before the monsters realized what was going on, I immediately changed the weapon from a dagger to a large scythe.

“Claw.” I immediately activated the three-blade feature on the scythe, then “Strong slash!.” one swing of the big scythe instantly cut it several monsters into pieces.

Knowing that an impromptu attack made all the monsters crazy, they immediately surrounded me to attack.

Standing amidst the ferocious monsters ready to kill me, I saw no way to run. But there was not the slightest panic I felt.

“Weak beings like you guys will only be an experience that will make me stronger.”

All the monsters stepped back as they sensed the aura I was emitting.

My smile widened, I quickly attacked the monsters around me. The power of the aura that has now reached level three is so awesome, with just a few strikes I can defeat the wolves.

The weapon I used kept changing from the large dagger and scythe, depending on the distance of the monster I was fighting. The fight went well until I subverted dozens of monsters.

From behind the crowd, Jek used his arrow to help me. He attacked stealthily on a tree.

Blood started to flow from the claw wound, it felt so stinging that it was unbearable. Trying to counterattack, I took a dagger and stabbed the creature whose attack I was still holding.

A scream was heard when I managed to hurt him. But unfortunately the creature was clever enough to avoid it, as a result of the attack from me can only scratch the body of the creature.

I'm trying to identify the new monster I'm dealing with. The monsters this time had specialized in impromptu attacks, it seemed like they had the expertise in disguising their presence until it was hard to detect.

Other than the new monster Raccoon assassin, no other monster posed a threat. Jek helped me reduce the number of monsters, while I was able to focus on the raccoons.
