17. The Strangeness of this Morning

Early in the morning when the new sun peeked on the horizon. The noise of the animals that were so noisy disturbed me from sleep. I immediately left the bed to immediately go to my neighbor's house which I currently make a temporary cage.

All the animals looked happy when they finally got free. They immediately came out of the house to enjoy the morning air, while I stayed behind to clean up the mess they had made all night.

“It looks like I need to make a permanent cage for them.” thought I while cleaning all the dirt in the basement. I feel guilty about making my neighbor's house an unlicensed animal enclosure.

Although I've asked Roxy for permission before, but still asking for permission on pets feels wrong.

“I was afraid that one day the wife or children of the owner of the house would show up and not accept what I did to their house. If It happens it will probably cause a big problem.”

Using a large tub, I brought all the dirt and put it in a barrel containing dry leaves, then locked tightly to the barrel.

“But it will be different if everyone who owns the rights to this house is known to no longer exist.”

After cleaning my neighbor's basement, I got ready to take a shower and then had breakfast afterwards. But suddenly I felt the gaze of a cat who kept watching me from the roof of the house.

The cat kept looking at me, and I looked back at him. Until the cat got bored and then chose to go down.

‘What just...’.

I felt unable to distract myself when my gaze and the cat met. But my daydream was interrupted when the goblins called me from inside the house. I don't know what he's saying, which obviously the two want me to shower and have breakfast together immediately.

‘Eat together?.’

Suddenly I remembered what happened last night.

I saw a strange dream last night, where I felt I was in a ruined city. I don't know what's going on, just stare around.

Flags bearing swords and crossed magic staffs could be found at what point, people were running around, screams were heard everywhere.

The blood on my hands made me realize that if my body was so dull with blood, I didn't know if it was mine or someone else's.

My body feels weird, like I'm not the usual me. I couldn't move, making me feel like I was looking at someone else's point of view.

Then suddenly the clouds opened showing a figure that was so amazing and terrible.

“What I do...”.

The sound of a monster roar rang out so loudly in the sky, then a gigantic snake floated in the clouds, swerving in various directions before finally shooting out a gigantic fireball that destroyed the entire area around me.

“Curse you Bud.... Aaaah!.”

I woke up after that in shock, because in that dream I was killed.

I was hungry and thirsty and went to the kitchen to get food. I was thinking of getting other raw meat that would end up being disgusting dishes

But it turned out that in the refrigerator that was not cold at all, I found Jek's toast. I wanted to eat it, but couldn't do it for fear of making Jek even more angry with me.

“A note?.”

I took a note that was placed on the toast. I could not read what was written on the note, because the letters listed looked like a child graffiti.

But slowly the letters began to form a word that could be understood. I was very surprised to see that, “What is this magic?.” in the note is written if the toast in front of me made Jek for me.

My smile widened as I read it. “What the hell, he looks cold all the time, but look now he's acting like a caring person.” I ate toast, while thinking if Jek was a hard person to express his feelings.

“I can understand that feeling.”

Some people who prefer to withdraw in social life, I often experience a dilemma when meeting new people. I was afraid whether the actions I took would get a good reaction or an angry reaction.

That yearly incongruity made me end up being passive as if I didn't care.

The taste of the sandwich was so good, after holding it up it made me sleep well that night.

All I know is that goblins are stupid monsters in the fantasy world, a skill that stands out from the goblin race only at the level of its population.

But Jek looked different, the taste of the sandwich he made changed my thinking about goblins.

It reminds me of the story of the movie about the mirror-witch from England, in that story the goblins are a race so intelligent that they hold power over banking magic.

You can imagine how smart they are to be able to work in a bank. Because indeed in my mind someone who works in a bank is a human being with a level of higher education.

“Even for the security guards though.” I said while staring at the sky while soaking in cold water.

It's like I still have two eyeballs.

“It couldn't have been....!.”

But when I tried to check it, what I got was not just an eye socket without contents. But there was a ball-like lump like the one I felt in the right eye.

Finding any irregularities I immediately got out of the bathtub without wearing clothes because of the rush. Roxy barked at me as she watched me run inside the house without clothes on.

I went to the bathroom to look in the mirror. Then how surprised I was when I saw from the mirror reflection in the left eye socket there was already an eyeball attached.

“No way, what really happened?.”

I've made sure before, after the operation eating that my face looks so terrible because it lost eyeballs.

But now how could I possibly get my left eye again?. Is it because of leveling up? I don't feel any difference in the Statistics menu.

“Wait, What skill is this?.”

On the statistics menu I found a new skill that I had never seen before. The skill was named Dragon's eye. I think I've heard that name before.

Trying to check into the item box turned out to be true that the object no longer existed. A gift I got from the silver box was already lost from within the item box.

Looking in the mirror I believe the eyes are red with thin pupils like this reptile is Dragon eye.

“How can this happen?.”

Amidst the confusion I was experiencing, my gaze saw that there were two letters on the system menu that I had not read. One of the congratulatory letters had killed the field boss, giving the system a bronze box as a reward.

While the other letter was an announcement that I could change the human race into a Reptilian.

“What kind of a gas is that?.”

I just stared at the statistics of the Reptilian race for a long time, it was quite interesting for me, because after changing races it seemed like I would become even stronger. But I will refuse to change races because I do not want to throw away my humanity.

The cold began to feel because I was still not wearing clothes after running from the bathtub.

‘It's very embarrassing.’

I was intending to return to the well, but as I was about to close the menu stats all of a sudden.

“Gaaaaa!.”

Jek's sudden shout surprised me to accidentally touch the confirmation button on the choice of changing races.

[Racial change confirmed]

“Aaaa!.”

I cried out in panic for unintentionally throwing away my humanity.
