S4 Chapter 95 "Naira & Kiara" The Best Brother

The content of Rania began to grow, and just waiting for the birth of the beloved baby. Dio was always on standby to accompany his wife. He also decided to work from home, fearing that his wife would suddenly give birth. Although there are Arsyad and Annisa who always accompany Rania, Dio does not want to leave Rania for a second.

Rania lately feels strange in her womb. For one week he rarely felt the movement of the baby still in his stomach. Just feel for a moment, and that's rare.

“Why didn't you say, baby? We have to go to the doctor now,” said Dio who immediately turned off his laptop.

“It is now. Let's get ready,” Dio replied while inviting Rania to get ready.

“Iya, I'm ready.” Rania changes clothes, and Dio puts Rania's clothes in a bag. Preparing maybe Rania will give birth now.

“Come on, are you ready?” ask Dio.

“Already, how do you bring a clothes bag?” ask Rania.

“Already let's go, we just in case,” replied Dio.

Dio was a little wary of his wife talking like that. She was very worried that there was nothing with the baby in Rania's bladder.

“From yesterday our baby is not moving?” ask Dio anxiously.

“So motion but not like yesterday-yesterday, a week ago active once, dear,” replied Rania.

Somehow Dio felt very worried about the content of Rania. He also did not understand, unlike usual he felt very worried and this sweet.

“What did you feel from yesterday?” ask Dio again.

“Taste nothing. Most yesterday it would be itching in the stomach only and all over my body as well. Mother said things like this are common in pregnant women whose age has entered the 7th month to 9, that's all I feel,” replied Rania.

“Honey, you seem to panic once?” rania.

“Don't worry everything will be fine,” said Rania who tried to calm her husband.

Rania actually feels the same way as her husband. Even he was more worried, but he tried to calm down, and pray, may the baby in the womb not happen anything.

Dio and Rania see doctor Bianka, lucky Doctor Bianka is still in the hospital. Rania immediately consulted Doctor Bianka. Bianka's doctor examined Rania's contents, and performed an ultrasound.

“I'm sorry, I have to explain this, the itching felt by Ms. Rania is a symptom of ICP (Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy) that is, a potentially serious liver disorder during pregnancy. In this condition, bile acids do not flow properly and are formed in the body of pregnant women. ICP inhibits the flow of bile acids which are toxic to the fetus from the liver to the liver and intestines,” explained Dr. Bianka.

“Then my baby?” rania asked with teary eyes.

“Then how, Doc?” dio asked with his wife hugging.

“We must immediately perform the action of Operation Caesar. It can be normal, but most likely it can be a long process of induction. So, I recommend to do Operation Ceasar. Because the other baby is already a little weak,” explained Doctor.

“Do your best for my son, Doc. I was willing to exchange my life for my baby,” said Rania with tears.

“Honey, don't talk like that, our son must be fine. Release the ones that are not there, you have to be strong, okay,” Dio said by kissing Rania.

Dio hugged his wife. Giving calm to his wife who was lamenting the sense of loss.

“I'm sorry, Dio, I can't take care of our son,” said Rania.

“Have not thought anything. This is his will,” replied Dio.

Rania was taken to the operating room. Dio's worry and panic grew. He is eager to see Rania okay, if it can not be saved all the babies in the stomach of Rania, for Dio who especially Rania survived. However, Dio still desperately wished for his baby to survive, even though only one could survive.

Dio sat on the floor in front of the operating room leaning against the wall. Dio's mouth did not stop chanting Prayer, so he forgot not to tell his family that Rania was going to undergo C-section.

Dio's phone rang, he picked up his phone that was in his pants pocket. Dio raised a call from his brother.

“Hallo, Son. Where are you? How come your house is quiet?” ask Arsyad.

“Dio in the hospital, Abah,” he replied in a raucous voice.

“At the hospital?”

“Iya, Rania will give birth,” she replied.

Dio put his phone in his pants pocket again after he finished receiving the phone from his brother. Dio was still sitting speechless by again wiping his tears. The happy thing that he felt yesterday would have twins, is now gone. Only fear enveloped him now. His wife was risking her life in the operating room.  Yes, Rania is fighting for one baby that can still be saved.

Arsyad, Annisa, and Rico come to the hospital. He was shocked to find out Rania was in the Operation Room. Arsyad from yesterday saw Rania was fine, but why is she now in the operating room.

“Dio...” Annisa approached her son who was in a frenzy with a swollen eye.

“Congratulations Rania, Bun.” That was the only word that came out of Dio's mouth. Then he fell silent and looked down again.

“Why should Rania have surgery, Dio?” ask Annisa.

“Rania and her baby why, son?” annisa asked, she also cried and hugged her troubled son.

“Baby Rania can not be saved one mother. He died in the womb, a week ago. And, the one-state baby was also weak, so Rania had to undergo Caesarean section,” Dio replied.

Dio explained what happened to Rania. Annisa did not expect this to happen to her daughter-in-law. Annisa sat next to Dio, no matter if she was sitting on the dirty or clean floor. “Operation went smoothly, Ms. Rania was not yet conscious. But, sorry, one of Rania's mother's babies is really dead. And, one more baby is undergoing treatment, because the condition is very weak,” replied the Doctor.

“Thank you, Doc.”

“Baby Bu Rania's body and Father are finished in the nun bath, please if you want to see it.”

Dio and the others follow the Doctor to see the baby he can't save. Dio enters the room with Annisa, Rico, and Arsyad. A little baby who was lifeless covered in white cloth. Dio opened it and kissed a beautiful baby girl like Rania.

“Innalillahi Wainnailaihi Rojiun's. God loves you, son. Single-minded dad. You saved mom and dad in heaven. I will love your twin brother. Let him accompany the days of mother and father here. You've calmed down, heaven is your place, baby. Single-minded father.” Dio kissed his son who was asleep and calm.

It felt like his world was collapsing, the hope of having twins was already wiped out. But she still has one more child, who is in treatment.

“He was unconscious,” Dio replied by looking at his wife who was still closing her eyes.

“I'm so sorry. Hopefully Rania can be steadfast in dealing with all this. I checked Kiara. She's fine, she's a strong baby, just like her mother. But, Kiara is still in the incubator,” Akmal said.

“You've seen Kiara?” ask Dio.

“Yes, I know the pediatrician here, so I want to make sure my own nephew how,” Akmal said.

“I will give the best care to my nephew. I will handle myself,” Akmal added.

“Thank you,” said Dio.

Rania straightened her eyes, adjusting the light in her space. She called out to her husband in an almost inaudible voice.

“Dio...”.

“You're sober, baby?” Dio approached Rania. And, Akmal immediately called the Doctor who handled Rania.

“How is our child?” ask Rania.

“You're calm first, huh? Let the doctor check you out first, baby,” away Dio.

Rania's condition is good, just not so stable. Her emotions can also be controlled, because she already knows, if the baby most likely can not survive all.

“How is our son, Dio?” rania asked after the doctor examined her.

“Our son survived, and the other, he was brought home brother, mother, and oap to be buried. You're patient, baby.”

“I'm sorry, Dio. I can't take care of our son.”

“Do not like that. This is his will. Importantly, our only child Kiara, Naira's twin, she survived, she's healthy. But, she was still in the care, and inside the incubator. Tomorrow we can see it.” Dio tried to smile despite the bitter he felt, but he had to stay strong in front of his wife.

Luckily Kiara was saved. Rania can still be relieved, even though she hopes to have twins.

Rania has been in the hospital for a week. He was allowed to go home today. Kiara also looked healthy. Rania and Dio are grateful, even though Naira can not be saved, at least there is Kiara who became her solace to lose Naira.

“Mom will always take care of you, son. Be a great woman. Mother loves you.” Rania kissed Kiara's cheek.

“Come, today Kiara is going home. Don't fuss, baby. Kiara should be healthy. Must be a great kid. Here's daddy's cradle, pity mom, his stomach still hurts.” Dio took Kiara from Rania's lap.

How happy they were, though the Lord would have otherwise, Naira had to go for ever. However, Dio and Rania were still grateful, as he could still pet Kiara.

Annisa and Arsyad come to pick Rania home from the hospital. He immediately took Kiara from Dio's sling.

“Kan oma wants to carry too, dear. Let's go home. Oma has prepared everything for Kiara at home.”

Annisa's holding her granddaughter. Rania is in a wheelchair and is pushed by the sisters. Arsyad and Dio carry Rania's gear, and walk beside Annisa who is holding Dio and Rania's tiny baby.
