The woman left Levin alone in the cave. While Levin became even more confused by his presence there. He did not know what he should do now, whether to go from there to avoid trouble with the friend of the person the woman killed or to continue his journey.
He then looked at the corpse. The corpse's face looked extremely terrifying, especially in a place that had such weak light intensity in the demon's tomb. Levin ransacked the man's corpse, hoping for some coins to feed him and a shelter.
He ransacked his pocket and found some silver coins and two gold coins, enough to feed him for a few days. He also found an iron sword in the belt of the corpse, which he then carried and pointed it up.
"I think it'll be useful to me. I can protect myself with this." Levin said inwardly.
He then walked deeper into the cave. The deeper he walked, the darker the place was. There was a candle holder on every wall of the room, but since it had been left behind for so long and was not well known to many, it became an abandoned place.
Levin stopped his steps, he didn't know if he should keep walking down that dark alley, or give up and go back upstairs.
"I've come this far, I have to keep going, I don't know what I'm going to face, but whatever it is I have to be brave. My job is just to find a crystal, then leave" he said in his heart. Then he looked up at the wall and walked over while touching it.
After a long time he walked forward, Levin then hit something in front of him. He groped the thing to find out its shape. He shifted the box-shaped stone on top of it that felt quite heavy, it was like a casket cover. He then groped into the contents of the chest, and touching a hard object similar to a larger wooden branch, he believed that it was a bone.
"If this thing is a bone, then the crystal must be in his hand, which must be holding his chest." thought Levin, who then groped the upper part of the bone, but he was confused by the shape of the bone, the more he felt, the smaller the bone.
"Is this human bone? I don't understand why it looks like this." Levin's confused
Levin then held onto something that felt colder than bone. He then tried to pull the thing out, but it seemed to be in something so difficult to remove.
"Damn, I think this is the crystal. If only I could see what this thing was stuck in" Levin said in his heart.
"I should have searched for a torch first and then came back here again. Stupid me!" levin continued, trying to pull the thing out.
Levin then fell silent, he heard a voice from inside his head, but it was very faint. He then removed the crystal and held his head with both hands.
"I heard something! A.. Is that yes?" ask in the heart. He then held the crystal back, wiggling it while pulling it so that it quickly detached so he could take it out. He then heard the voice again, he focused on listening to the voice. He held his head with both hands, after which the voice disappeared.
"The "crystals! The crystal is trying to talk to me!" he said in his heart, then he held the crystal back, and heard something inside his head, at first the sound was very vague, but since he had learned to meditate, he concentrated even harder, he concentrated even harder, his voice became clearer.
"Welcome, Sagmorat. Welcome to my simple grave." said the voice in his head.
Levin then tried to reply to the voice, trying to speak telepathically inside his head.
"Who is this? Are you Calemia? And how do you know that I'm the Sagmorat?" levin asked, somewhat scared.
"I am Japroth, the demon who was defeated by the god Calemia. He buried my soul here, knowing that the bones you fumbled earlier were not human bones, but rather my already fragile horns."
"Right now you won't be able to carry the crystal without a spell, which only the god Calemia knows. I know your destiny, Sagmorat, one day you will be assigned to collect seven Calemiara crystals and that day is now here."
"Your feelings are a disease, O man. Your feelings make you an animal, an object that can die. Never be attached to your feelings, sharpen your consciousness, then eternity will be you."
"Baa.. Good. Then, what do I have to do to get those crystals?" ask Levin
"You are the first person in thousands of years to want those crystals. However, lord Sagmorat, only the god Calemia can get them" said the mysterious voice.
"*But the god Calemia certainly knew about this day, and made an exception for the bearer of light. He told us seven demons to guard these seven crystals from the adventurers outside. Of course we are not evil, only our bodies as demons make us evil, our feelings bring control of the direction of our lives at that time. But now that we are free from that burden, we are now holy souls who carry out the commandments of the gods."
"To bring the seven crystals you have to perform a special ritual. In each of the seven tombs you have to perform different rituals, and for your first ritual you will do it here*" said Japroth.
"Whatis that? What am I supposed to do?" ask Levin.
"You must prove that you are the Sagmorat. You have to do what no one else can do. With that you will get seven crystals. And the first ritual you have to do is, take the light out of you. Prove that you are the bearer of light, and let out a bright light without ever getting out of this place" said the voice.
"A.. Whahuh? But how is it going?" ask Levin.
"Do it, come back to me when you succeed" said the voice in Levin's head.
While Levin is confused, he doesn't know what to do. He then stood up slowly and held his head with both hands, he tried to bring out the light in his body as the voice said.
A few minutes passed, he was still holding his head, not a single light came out of his body. "What am I doing? Come on, there's gotta be a way to do that. But... How's it?" levin asked puzzledly, his head becoming very heavy, due to the tightness and darkness of the place.
"Dad and my mom! They were a magician, was it possible for the bloodline to be influential? Is it possible that I can do magic?" levin asked himself.
Levin then straightened his chest, breathed long and let go slowly. He pulled out his sword and held it up high, until it touched the roof of the room. He closed his eyes and focused his mind.
"Visualize the shape of the light, feel the warmth of the substance in your body. And move on this sword!" Levin then felt something move in his body, he felt for the first time that feeling. He felt his magician's blood dancing in his body, he could hear the movements of the smallest atoms in his body clearly. The light then shone on his sword, Levin's eyes closed and opened on their own, and saw the room covered by a bright light, making the carvings on the wall clear.
Levin then looked at the open coffin before him and saw a large horn lying on the chest. The horn looked fragile and shattered like porous teeth, there was a small shiny shining stone stuck in the horn.
Levin felt the soft object inside his body fade away, knowing that it was his magic energy, Mana, which slowly dissipated due to the light he was giving off. The light dimmed and Levin's body became somewhat limp, he knelt down, and touched the crystal again.
"I thought you were the Sagmorat the bearer of light. Undoubtedly, you will fight against the darkness that is enveloping the island. Now, this crystal is yours, this crystal will be detached from the magic power holding it back. The ritual is completed, may the gods bless your every move." the voice fades from Levin's head, and disappears.
The crystal Levin was holding and then detached from the seal, light shone out of the crystal, and there was a 'trekk' sound, the crystal was then in Levin's hand.
