The Adventure of the Light-Bearer

The Adventure of the Light-Bearer
CH. 31 - Warmness on the Heart

Levin recalled to Llemas' words that the disease was a result of magic, and only magic could cure it. Levin knows that only he can heal Clea and the villagers, he must find his own way.

"Suggestion... The magic within their bodies would be even stronger if they focused on the pain that appeared... They have to convince themselves that they are not affected by any disease. But in a situation like this, what should I do? They all fainted..." Levin frowned and sighed.

"Wait first... When I almost fainted in the forest earlier, I felt a warm feeling and made me come back to my senses. The feeling comes by itself, meaning is it possible... If I make them feel that way, will they come to their senses?" levin asked inwardly, he scratched his head. "But what kind of feeling is that?"

Levin looked at Clea's face lying on her thigh. He felt that feeling back, his stomach was warm and his gaze was fixated. "Is this possible... Of love? Ma's.. Where possible. Where might I love this chatty female. But if that's not it, then what?" Levin ruffled his hair in confusion.

"Le.. Levin.." said Clea softly, she opened her eyes slightly, Levin was shocked to think he was still unconscious. "Pe.. Hugged me..."

"A.. Whahuh? Why?" Clea did not answer him, she was lying limp with sweat. His eyes were shaking trying to stay awake.

Levin had no other choice. He lifted Clea's body and hugged her. Her loose embrace gradually became tighter and tighter, she could feel Clea's warm body sticking to her body. Clea limply moved her hands and hugged Levin back, they hugged him for quite a while.

"Thank God, you're healed now" Levin said, letting go of his embrace.

"Y.. Yes, thank you." his body was still limp, he was trying to sit down, his face was depicting a slight confused expression. He smiled warmly at Levin.

They looked at each other for a while. Clea's face then turned red and she turned her gaze away.

"How do you know that with a hug this disease can be cured?" levin asked as he stood up and clenched his pants.

"E... L'm.. I know from the healer in this village." said Clea, broken in nervousness.

"Oh yeah? Then where is he? Is he safe? We have to ask for his help, we can't treat all these people ourselves."

"A.. I think he also has the disease. We have to treat them ourselves" Clea said a little nervously. "Levin's stupid... Why is he so easy to trust me." looks sad expression at a glance from Clea's face.

"Then do you have any ideas to cure them? Should we hug them one by one?"

"I think so... If one of them recovers he'll help us, and so on."

"alright... Then let's do it!" levin said spirit. He then ran towards one of the residents and hugged her. Clea simply observed with disdain. Levin hugged the person tightly and warmly, but the person was still unconscious.

"Bright... Why is this guy still fainting?" levin muttered. Clea walked over to him. "What does the cure tell you about the treatment of this disease?" ask Levin.

Clea scratched her head. "E... Her... He told me to warm it up! Yes it is him! Maybe we should cover them with blankets one by one."

"What's? Really true?"

"You really don't know how to treat it, do you? Did the medic really tell you anything?"

Clea lowered her head and let out a small sigh. "Se.. Actuallyno. I don't know how to treat them." said Clea softly, she lowered her head in embarrassment.

"Oh yeah? Then why are you lying?" levin asked confusedly. "Tu.. Hold still.. So you asked to be hugged because..." Clea ran towards Levin and covered her mouth with both hands from behind.

"Typeaaak! Don't say it's stupid!" clea yelled as she pressed her hand harder, while Levin thrashed around unable to breathe.

"Satisfy affuh!" levin shouted as he tried to remove Clea's hand from her mouth. Clea doesn't listen to Levin and keeps silencing him. "Nghaafl! Mffbase!" Clea then let go and retreated backwards. Levin claustrophobicly took his breath in quickly and coughed small.

Levin looked at Clea behind him. Clea looked at Levin while bowing her head, she then turned away in embarrassment. The atmosphere was silent for a moment, the two of them did not want to stare at each other in embarrassment.

"K.. You misunderstood. L'm.. I told you to hug me because I thought it would treat me. You know," Clea said softly, fisting her lips. "Better we just forget about this and focus on saving them."

"K.. Youre right. We have to hurry. You have any idea how?"

"Where do I know. Might as well... Certain feelings. Your father said you were a witch. What magic can you really do?" ask Clea.

"Magic... I can do magic. But right now I can only emit light using my magic, I'm not sure I can treat them" Levin said.

"Why not learn and try? I heard that the medic here is a professional medic and he can't even treat this disease, we can't rely on the other villagers. The only one who can treat them is us." said Clea, her body was actually very limp, she pretended to be strong in front of Levin.

Levin nodded slowly. "Yes, I think so." he laid the person he was holding onto the ground and placed his hand against the person's chest. Levin then took out a light from his hand and the light enveloped the man. After a few seconds of Levin putting it out, nothing happened that time, the person still fainted.

"Special feelings." said Levin in his heart. "This is what you mean." Levin then released a brighter light from his hand. The light felt warm and white, quickly the light entered the body of the person who was fainting. The person's hand moved slightly, he opened his mouth first before his eyes. To his surprise he opened his eyes at once and looked towards Levin fearfully.

"Don't talk, you're too limp. Rest safe now." said Levin.

A few hours passed. Levin managed to treat all the villagers there. He forced himself to use his physical strength to replace it with mana power. Levin nearly fainted a few times, Clea even forced Levin to stop but he didn't listen to her. After Levin managed to treat the last person, his limp body collapsed to the ground. Clea who already knew it would happen quickly restrained Levin and embraced his body in his hands.

"You're too imposing" Clea said warmly.

Levin opened his mouth to speak, but Clea quickly stuck an index finger into his mouth. "Rest, we have to go tomorrow." Levin then closed his eyes limply and fell asleep in Clea's lap.
