The Adventure of the Light-Bearer

The Adventure of the Light-Bearer
CH. 30 - The Dark Dancer

"About the mysterious man" Levin said in his heart to Llemas, the great fish-like creature before him. "Do you know where he is? Or how does that person look?"

"I don't know how that guy is, that's why I thought you were him. That guy doesn't seem like an ordinary person, he's still chuckling and not afraid to come back here, I suggest you be careful. He always comes here at night, I think he'll come again tonight. For that come here after you treat the villagers."

"Then be well. I think they really need me. But there are some things I can't understand. Did you set this ritual?"

"Not really, the god Calemia told me that if the Sagmorat came and wanted to claim the crystal stuck in my body, he would have to go through a ritual first. The god Calemia did not tell me what rituals to perform, only the god Calemia himself and the souls of the confined demons knew. He said I'll know when you come to claim this crystal. And it is true that, as these criticisms shone and connected, a mysterious wave whispered something into my stomach, so that I could feel that this was indeed the ritual. Do the ritual Sagmorat, you will get the crystal and I will be very grateful if you manage to do it." said the creature, he then went into the lake and the voice in Levin's head began to disappear.

Levin actually did not really understand what Llemas said earlier. All he knows is the fact that he is now stricken with a mysterious illness and he has to treat himself and some other people in the village he just met and came back here before dark.

Levin put the crystal in his case, he looked at the lake that was silent, there was no sign of the presence of the creature there. After inserting his sword into his belt, Levin then walked towards the village with a slight limp, his legs slightly dislocated as he was hit by the large creature.

While on the way, Levin could feel something strange inside his head. It was inside Levin's left head, like something moving and painful. Levin panicked a little, knowing that the magic was starting to affect him. He then tried to convince himself that he was not affected by any disease.

"A.. I'm fine, calm yourself down, Levin, just ignore the pain" Levin said.

She tried not to hold onto her aching head and ignored the pain. But it turns out the pain is getting worse and spreading to other areas of his head. Levin tries to ignore the pain, but instead makes him focus on the pain and make it bigger.

"The.. Shit, it hurts my head. Trying not to think about the pain made me think about the pain. I should have thought about something else."

The screams of a child were heard in the forest. Levin, who had almost lost his consciousness, was shocked and raised his head towards the source of the sound. "Clea?" levin asked in his heart.

The pain in his head gradually began to fade due to the distraction. Levin then felt anxious about something other than himself, he remembered Clea. "That voice... A little boy... Isn't Clea there? Shit, I have to hurry there." Levin said as he stepped limp and tried to run towards the source of the sound, which was in the village they had been to.

Levin's limp feet and heavy eyes were restored. Levin felt something in his warm chest and crept up quickly expelling the pain throughout his body. The feeling was like a mixed feeling of care and anxiety, he did not know what he was feeling, he just ran fiercely towards the village quickly.

Levin ran through the path and up to the small village monument, he looked up and saw the crowd of villagers back. The crowd was different from the previous one, the crowd looked even more panicked and carried their farm equipment and brandished it forward. Their bodies trembled slightly and retreated little by little, Levin could not see what was in front of the citizens.

Someone from the front of the crowd jumped up and fell in front of Levin. His form was terrifying, his head was a blackish red and his eyeballs were pale white upside down, his mouth wide open portraying an extremely horrified expression, a disgusting white liquid oozing out from his mouth. His neck raised up was broken looking at Levin, his breath stopped, the feathers in his hand lifted and he was glued to the spot for a moment.

All the people in the crowd were squeezing, they were falling down one after another for no reason. A person wearing a black robe is seen walking towards Levin. His face was covered in that robe, his body was slightly hunched high and carrying a cane, he walked slowly while the residents were unconscious.

"The.. Whoareyou? What did you do to them!" levin shouted as he brandished his sword towards the mysterious person.

The man just walked towards Levin slowly, his cloaked face little by little visible, he was not afraid of Levin threatening him with the sword and instead holding the sword eye.

Levin's body was limp and unable to move, he tried to push his sword forward but an invisible force held him back. The mysterious person growled a little, his face then clearly visible. He smiled sinisterly at Levin, his face scaly and green in color, his eyes looked like snake eyes and his mouth was long grinning. He grinned his sharp and numerous teeth, a little like Vaxhella's teeth but more.

"Sagmorat," said the creature in a hoarse and heavy voice, while Levin was stunned unable to move. "I didn't expect the prophecy to be true." the half-lizard man drew Levin's sword with his hand and slammed it into the little wooden house there. Levin's body was smashed into the small wooden house, he held his feet trembling trying to stand up and rest on his sword.

Levin stomped his feet in front of the lizard man and swung his sword quickly. The lizard man's right hand quickly held Levin's sword and clasped his blade. The sword did not pierce through his hand and came to a halt like it was being struck against a rock. His left hand swung rapidly and slid into Levin's stomach, causing him to fall backward and fall in pain. The creature's hand then squeezed out the sword he was holding, but it was too hard.

"This sword... Made of adamantite and Kaliph magic. I didn't expect you to get this sword." said the lizard man. Levin, who was lying on his stomach trying to stand up, had just felt the loudest blow he had ever felt in his entire life.

"The.. Whoareyou? What do you want?" levin asked while panting.

"You must have heard of me Sagmorat. The Faveroth, Atlantis, and all that. I was one of the magicians who performed the Atlantum ritual. My name is Genta, a symbol of Gmodar who helped your father to destroy the world. You must know my purpose here, to destroy this village and start a new plague. The plague will spread throughout the kingdom and in some way will reveal the whereabouts of your father, who was reportedly hiding in New Vamor. And look, who we're meeting now, a little boy carrying a legendary sword and some pieces of Calemiara crystal. I think killing you will be an additional task for me, the prophecy of the great wizard Akemon will be destroyed here, and my task to perform the ritual again and bring Adacia will be easier."

The creature then raised its right hand, a spark of blue fire then appeared there and formed a hot fireball, Levin could feel the heat of the ball far away, the creature swung his hand back, and the, but something landed and stuck the creature's hand and the fire faded. The creature retreated backwards and holding his hand held by an arrow, he turned his gaze to the source of the arrow, seen Clea who was standing on a balcony in a house there, he pointed his arrow at the creature and released his second arrow, the arrow landed on the creature's chest and the arrow was broken.

"Fuckin' shit. You're wasting my time, now you're dead!" the creature held its wand up, a light flashing at the end of the stick and made Clea turn her body.

"Don't look at Levin's wand!" clea shouted, but Levin had already seen the spark, nothing had happened to him.

"A.. Whahuh? Why would... Oh, of course... You're a witch, no wonder you're.." An arrow stuck into the creature's neck, Clea shot it from above as she focused on Levin. He held his neck in pain as he slumped down, Levin quickly ran towards him and thrust the sword into the creature's chest and pulled it back. Levin stabbed the sword back but it was stuck, his chest as if it had turned into stone.

The half-lizard creature swung its hand at Levin's body and made him bounce upwards. The creature then ran towards the forest very quickly. He disappeared even before Levin turned his body. Clea jumped down and ran towards Levin.

"You okay?" clea asked while turning Levin over, Levin tried to sit down.

"That thing... What exactly is he?" levin asked, holding his head.

"A.. I don't know. What was clear was that he was not human, he made these residents faint with the light emitted from his staff. And it's also very strong and hard, maybe some kind of witch" Clea said gasping for breath, sweat coming out of her forehead.

"Y.. Yeah, it seems like it. My sword managed to stab him the moment he saw you, but the second time my sword bounced, it seems like we can only attack him when he is off guard. But most importantly, will they regain consciousness? They're okay, right?" Levin looked left-right and looked around, the residents lying unconscious, only Levin and Clea were alive.

"I don't know" said Clea, and she sat down, holding her head. "I... Feeling a little dizzy, maybe I'm shaken... You're okay, right?" clea's breathing became increasingly heavy, she frowned her face enduring the pain. Levin moved towards her and held her shoulder.

"Ka.. You all right? Not that disease... Calm yourself Clea! Don't you get to..." Clea then collapsed onto Levin's calf, her body hot, Levin could feel something creeping and spreading across Clea's body.

"The.. Damn, why did he get that disease too. I will not forgive that creature. Hold on for a while Clea, I'll find a way to heal you all."
