CH. 26 - Winding Road

"So" said Ramon, standing on his staff to two young men in front of him who were sitting at a far distance. He had just finished telling the story of Levin, The Faveroth, and the situation the continent was facing to Clea. Ramon then continued.

"Are you going to go together on this dangerous assignment? Or, you want to live freely like everyone else out there, young lady?" ramon asked Clea. He was silent for a moment, his face looked like one who was thinking. He sighed and blinked his eyes quickly.

"Well, I had no choice but to follow him looking for those crystals. This soft guy like your son certainly needs guidance from an experienced person like me, right? Take it easy, I'll take care of him and bring the crystal pieces to you. So now you don't have to worry" Clea said with a sly smile. While Levin just looked at her in annoyance.

"So much as this female. What's the head on?" he said in an upset heart. Levin then observed the woman, her pouting mouth and narrow eyes looking at the woman's slender body wearing a vest. He stood up in surprise when he remembered something.

"Ma.. Where's the gold bag I gave you? Your pockets look small, don't tell me.." asked Levin, who was then cut off by Clea who stood up in shock as she seemed.

"A.. Holy hooch! I keep that bag behind the pillow in the shop! The bag was too big to put in the pocket behind my vest, so I hid it there. I.. It's not my fault, huh... You teleported me here without my knowledge" Clea said as she held her hand forward to the regretful Levin.

"What can be done" said Ramon holding the shoulders of the two young men. "You go, it's just yellow iron, I can make it bigger than that if I have mana. Now, continue your journey. Unfortunately I can't accompany you guys because the outside world is too dangerous for me. May Hartlova light your way." said Ramon, he bowed his body to the two young men before him. Levin stood up and bowed his body again.

"This isn't the last time we're looking at each other, old man. I'll be back once I get those crystals" Levin said, smiling and walking with Clea out.

The sun was hanging above the sky. Their preparations to leave were very time consuming, they were hunting and having breakfast before they left, they were also chatting and telling stories this morning.

Levin was under the cliff and a small jump in the clump there. He looked up at Clea who was not too far away from her position, she extended her hand, but Clea frowned her face and slapped Levin's small hand.

"Don't think that I'm a weak woman, little boy. Keep your hands off me." said Clea, jumping down, and they walked. Levin raised his eyebrows.

"Oh yeah? Then then why did the bandits the day after tomorrow catch such a strong person like you, Ogreson?" Levin laughs. While Clea tried to interrupt him.

"Me.. They attacked me in stupid numbers! Actually I could have beaten them all. But at that time my legs sprained so I had a little trouble fighting the many bandits around me." cried Clea, she pressed her lips forward and turned her head in the other direction, a sign of when she lied.

"Oh yeah? Then you're not strong. Which strong man could sprain, right?" levin said with a mocking smile. Clea narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth.

"Te.. It's up to you. A fool like you understands. Who says strong people never get sprained? Are you stupid?" Clea looked to the left right, she then fell silent for a moment.

"Yes, I guess. I have this map, this map says we're in New Vamor now, but this point shows that the crystal is around Movaden Castle, the capital of the kingdom. So we just have to find a path and go to the north east." Levin explained as he turned the map back. While Clea was just scratching her head in confusion. He pointed ahead quickly.

"Oh look! The trail! Now where are we going, left or right?" clea asked, Levin narrowed his eyes.

"Left, we'll find a village there. Pretty big country called Dreydan, there we'll rest for a while." Levin put the map back in after rolling it up. Then walk through that path.

After the length of time they walked, Clea's footsteps slowed down even more. Levin was unaware of that and continued to move forward leaving Clea who was struggling to walk while holding her thigh. Levin then realized that when he did not feel Clea beside him, and looked back, and saw Clea sitting on the ground and running towards him.

"Are you okay? You sweat a lot, do your feet still hurt? Then hold my hand, I'll help you." Levin reached out his hand, Clea then slapped her hand and tried to stand up.

"Stupid, I told you to keep your smelly hands off me" he said, Levin obeyed him and saw him standing with great difficulty.

They then continued their journey. The path was surrounded by tall and slightly lush oak trees. Clea's slow pace now became extremely slow, her legs trembled and then she fell down. Levin ran back to him.

"You're this, I told you you need help walking, stubbornness anyway. You shouldn't force yourself. We rest here for a while, we'll look for a cure when we get to Dreydan" Levin said, while Clea's slightly trembling hand pointed forward.

"A.. I think the village is in front of us. Look, maybe the wood covered with leaves is a house. We'll check the place first." Clea said, squinting her right eye with pain.

"Then I'll carry you. You don't want your wounds to get worse, do you?" Levin stretched out his hand. Clea averted her gaze temporarily, her face slightly flushed in embarrassment.

"A.. What can I do. But don't get me wrong, I let you touch me because I had to, after this, you stay away from me." Clea takes Levin by the hand and Levin raises him. He then carried Clea.

"Blah blah, you chatty female. You should thank me for not leaving you behind. Besides who wants to touch you, I'm doing this because I'm forced to know!" levin said as he walked towards the wooden house in front of him. Clea who was being carried by Levin smiled for a few seconds, then wrinkled her face back as Levin turned his head towards her.
