STARTING FROM THE BEGINNING

Daniel's black Kawasaki Ninja has been parked in the school parking lot. Repeatedly he adjusted his breathing, trying to keep his heart from faltering with the decisions he had already taken. Yes, this morning he had made up his mind to return what should have been Khalisha's. The necklace and the money he promised Khalisha. The plan, this morning he would do just that and release Khalisha as his maid in the back garden of the school. The quiet back-of-school park allows no bullies to come along to interfere with his plans. He really wanted to start a new relationship with Khalisha.

The advice given by Bi Nani made her unable to sleep well. There was fear coming into his mind. He was afraid Khalisha would stay away from him. However, he also did not want if his relationship with Khalisha continued as a servant relationship with the employer. He wanted to approach Khalisha freely, not pretend to act as a master. That was why, he had finally received the advice from Bi Nani.

"Daniel! Daniel!" call Khalisha slowly.

The so-called sontak refocused on Khalisha. "Yes, Lis, why?"

"I should be the same as you. You're what's wrong? From that moment on. You sick? Or not eat?" ask Khalisha.

"I'm fine, Lis," she said.

"Are you really okay?" khalisha did not believe it.

"Surely," she replied reassuringly, "Lis, accompany me!"

"Where?" khalisha asked confused. Daniel's face looked serious. His speech style did not sound strange as usual, making him feel if there is something important to talk to him.

"The school's backyard."

"What's going on there?" khalisha asked, confused.

"There's something I want to say to you, Lis," she replied with a serious face.

"What do you want to say? Why not just talk about it here?"

Daniel took a breath. When explained in the school parking lot, fear someone sees and hears what he wants to say.

"Please, Lis.. come with me yes," he said this time with a clear face.

Khalisha did not answer. He nodded his head slowly as the sign agreed. I don't know why, he was nervous. Daniel doesn't usually take that seriously on him.

Along the corridors of the school, both Khalisha and Daniel kept their mouths shut. There is no talk they always do. They seem to be engrossed in their own thoughts. So engrossed with their thoughts, they were not aware that their footsteps had reached the back garden of the school.

Daniel walked straight to one of the big trees and landed his ass on the bench under the tree. With her lips still tightly shut, Khalisha followed Daniel and sat down beside him. But strangely, his heart could not calm down as usual.

"What do you want to say to me?" ask Khalisha without further ado. He was already very curious about what Daniel wanted to talk to him about.

Instead of answering, Daniel opened his bag. His hand took something and handed it to Khalisha.

Khalisha was surprised to see it. The necklace that Daniel took was now in front of his eyes. There was joy in his heart when he saw his beloved necklace. To be honest, he really misses the necklace that has accompanied his days for years.

"What'sthis? Do you want to give me my necklace back?" tanyanya could not believe it. There was no wind, no rain, suddenly Daniel returned the necklace that was the guarantee of his debt.

Daniel smiled at the expression Khalisha had just seen. Although she did not smile, she knew that Khalisha was very happy.

"Why silence? You don't want your necklace anymore?"

Khalisha was still staring in disbelief. "You're really giving this back to me?"

"Yes" Daniel answered briefly.

"But why? Isn't that necklace a guarantee until I replace your broken android?"

"Here, you once said that you gave me a chance to get your heart. So, I'm returning this as a first step for me. I want our relationship as a maid and employer to end this morning" Daniel said.

"You mean, you fired me?" ask Khalisha.

"Yes, Lis. I fired you," Daniel replied, looking intently at Khalisha, "now, you are no longer cooperating with me. I hope from now on, you don't think of me as your employer anymore. I want to be friends with you, Lis."

Daniel clasped Khalisha's hand, and put a necklace and an envelope in her hand. "Take this! You no longer have to think about changing my android. I am sincere. Anyway, I have a new one. So, you don't have to change my android."

Khalisha hesitated to accept it. Although he understood what Daniel said, he still could not let go of his responsibility to replace the android that he had broken.

"But, Daniel—"

"There's no buts," cut Daniel quickly. He got up from the bench and picked up Khalisha's necklace, then walked slowly to Khalisha's back. With an expanding smile, her hands wrapped the necklace around Khalisha's neck.

Between doubt and pleasure is now felt by Khalisha. He was very happy to get back his necklace, but still he felt bad for Daniel because his android never changed.

"Well, now it's beautiful" said Daniel, then sat down beside Khalisha.

Khalisha's face immediately blushed red. He himself did not understand, suddenly his heart felt very happy just because of the praise that came out of Daniel's mouth.

"Now do it, now you keep the envelope! It'll be gone again" said Daniel.

Khalisha did not put the envelope in her bag. He was confused by the envelope in his hand.

"Why bengong? Put the envelope in the bag!" get Daniel back.

"What envelope is this?" ask Khalisha.

"That's your salary."

Hearing this, Khalisha immediately returned the envelope to Daniel. It doesn't feel right if he accepts it. Daniel never treated her as a maid. The job also feels very easy. It is strange if he just receives a salary that is not in accordance with his performance.

"Sorry, Daniel. If it's a necklace, I can take it. But if it's this envelope, I really can't accept it" she said subtly.

"Loh, why? This is your right" asked Daniel puzzledly.

"First of all, you never treated me as your maid. I feel like I'm not working with you. Second, it hasn't been a month since I worked with you. So, I can't take it," he explained honestly.

Daniel returned the envelope. "Thank you, Lis. Let's just say pay for the cake you gave me."

Khalisha pushed Daniel's hand slowly. "Sorry Daniel. I really can't take it. You can think of it as your android indemnity installment."

"But, Lis, I've really done it. You don't have to change my android" replied Daniel kekeh.

"Please Daniel, you take the envelope back. I really can't take it." Unknowingly, Khalisha put on a hardened face.

Daniel could not bear to see Khalisha's face. He sighed, then said, "Alright, I'll take this envelope back. But on one condition."

Khalisha was shocked to hear that. "Condition?! What condition?"

"From now on we're friends."

"Well, haven't we been friends in the past, have we?" khalisha asked confused.

Daniel was shocked and happy to hear it. He thought that Khalisha considered him as his master, but it turned out that what he thought was wrong.

Not yet Daniel answered, the school bell sign of class rang loudly. Daniel snorted in annoyance. He still wants to talk to Khalisha. Inevitably, he had to end his conversation with Khalisha and return to his class.

"Daniel, the bell has rung. We're going to class, yuk! Later the teacher entered," Khalisha got up from the bench.

Daniel immediately put the envelope in the bag. He got up and walked very quickly with Khalisha. He is very hopeful, this is a good step in his relationship with Khalisha.
