Take My Heart's

Take My Heart's
FIRST DAY OF WORK

The school bell sign of rest has rung loud. After Ms. Nina left the classroom, the class residents quickly put their books into the bag, then flocked out of the classroom. A rumbling stomach made them rush to go to the cafeteria. As usual, Khalisha was still sitting quietly in her chair. He was not at all influenced to go to the cafeteria like the others. He then took out the provisions that he deliberately brought from his bag. His stomach that was starting to rumble made him want to eat it immediately.

Mayang who had just finished putting his books into the bag immediately moved from his chair. His stomach that began to rumble made him want to go to the canteen immediately. Siska and Dita who sat behind him also moved and walked casually beside Mayang. However, Mayang's steps suddenly stopped, making them join in stopping their steps. Both Siska and Dita were staring in annoyance. Maybe they stopped at Khalisha's table.

"To the canteen yuk, Lis!" take Mayang.

"You go to the cafeteria. I have brought provisions," he refused while showing the provisions he brought.

"That's arrogant. Tell me if you have no money. Use the reason for everything. Tu stock must be the contents of the food is not good," said Siska ketus.

"Sis, don't say that dong!" tegur Mayang does not like Siska's words.

Siska snorted in annoyance. How dare Mayang defend Khalisha in front of him. His dislike of Khalisha grew. How dare he refuse Mayang's invitation. In fact, Khalisha is nothing compared to Mayang.

"You've heard it for yourself if he doesn't want to. Yuk, we're going to the cafeteria. It will be hard to get a table again" Siska asked with a sharp gaze that still leads to Khalisha.

"Yes already. Then I, Siska, and Dita go to the cafeteria, Lis," said Mayang with a small smile. He then took his foot out of class.

Siska and Dita also re-entered their legs following Mayang's steps. Dita prefers to ignore Khalisha. He was lazy to get angry just because Khalisha was a. The same thing Siska did. Siska threw her face at Khalisha. Khalisha's face really fed her up. He just keeps getting upset when he's around him.

The atmosphere in the classroom is now quiet. No one else was in the class but Khalisha. Such a quiet atmosphere certainly made him feel comfortable. With ease, he opened his food. He wanted to enjoy the provision of his creation before the class residents returned to enliven this quiet classroom. However, just as he was about to put food in his mouth, he was startled by a hysterical cry from outside the classroom. He stopped his mouthful, then heaved a heavy sigh. There was not a minute he felt calm, but the pleasant atmosphere was already disturbed by the disciples out there. I don't know what made them scream hysterically like that. Only, their screams managed to disturb his appetite.

Instead of being curious about what was happening outside of her class, Khalisha thought of a place in her school that students rarely visit. He wanted to find a quiet place other than the school library. He might be able to come there every hour of rest. His hand then closed the supply place, then returned engrossed with his mind.

Without Khalisha noticing, countless gazes were directed at her class. Suddenly, a boy walks into his class. He blinked his eyes, not believing what he was seeing.

"Why are you here?" tanyanya's confused.

"Of course to meet you. What else," said Daniel standing in front of Khalisha.

"Where do you know my class?"

"I just accidentally walked through here, and then I saw you" Daniel replied lying. There's no way he's said that he's known Khalisha class for a long time.

"Oh. Trus, why did you come here?"

"Take you to the cafeteria," she replied smiling, "yuk, to the cafeteria! I'm hungry already."

"You're the one who went to the cafeteria. I brought the goods from home."

Daniel glanced at Khalisha. Without Khalisha's consent, he took the stock and opened it. Shocked at the same time do not believe in the contents of the provision of Khalisha. The contents of the provisions he brought were just a little sambal fried tempeh and tofu, oseng kale, and rice that almost filled the container. The provisions that Khalisha had brought instead looked like leftovers to her. Khalisha can eat with this very little side dish. Lauk in the stock is not enough to spend all the rice.

Khalisha stared coldly, not liking the attitude of Daniel who arbitrarily snatched his food supply. He said, "Give me back!"

"Aren't you just this?"

"Yes" he answered briefly.

"How come it's a little too bad, Lis? This is not enough to spend the rice. It is the same as eating rice. Is it at home you cook it just a little? Bring a lot of rice coke," said Daniel while closing Khalisha food.

"It's just a little."

"Could you do a little? No one is shopping at home?"

"There, really. And that's a lot too. Usually less than that" he replied spontaneously.

Daniel was stunned to hear that. Khalisha's life was completely different to hers. He never eats with a little side dish. If you want to eat, Bi Nani will prepare a lot of food for him. No matter whether the remaining food is to be stored or thrown into the trash, most importantly the food must be available on the dining table.

"You've seen my provisions. Please give it back to me. I want to eat" pinta Khalisha.

It was heartless to see Khalisha eating such food. With a meaningful smile, he said, "I'll give you back once we get to the cafeteria. I think I should remind you again. I am already your master. This is your first day of work. So you have to work well. Don't make me angry. I can cut your pay at any time."

After saying so, Daniel turned around and walked leisurely out of the classroom. His hand still holds Khalisha's food. He smiled with satisfaction. Meanwhile, Khalisha looked resentfully at Daniel. Just want to eat, he was already bullied by it. It seemed like in the future, his life would no longer be the same as before. He immediately got up from his chair and quickly followed Daniel. He wanted to get to the cafeteria immediately so he could enjoy the provisions he brought.

The atmosphere of the cafeteria when the break time arrived never changed, always full and crowded. Students from various classes flocked to meet the seats available in the school cafeteria. However, the atmosphere immediately felt different when Daniel and Khalisha arrived at the canteen. Among the excitement of their chatter, a lot of eye gazes were directed at them.

Daniel could finally sit down quietly. It seems, luck still wants to side with him. Just waiting for a moment, he already got an empty table. Moreover, he sat down accompanied by a girl who made him do things he had never done before.

"We're in the cafeteria, right. Now please give me back my provisions," pinta Khalisha coldly. He sat down with Daniel.

"Yes, yeah. I'll give it back, okay. Calm down" he said, relaxing. He took the money out of his pocket and handed it to Khalisha.

"What'sthis? I'll ask for my provisions. Why are you giving me money?" khalisha asked confused.

Khalisha heaved a heavy sigh. Without saying anything else, he took Daniel's money and stepped away towards the meatball cart. Fortunately, there were only three people in line. He was very grateful because he did not have to wait long just to get a bowl of meatballs.

While waiting in line, Khalisha looked around her. It feels so weird. For some reason, he felt that the students in the cafeteria were staring strangely at him, especially the girls. Sometimes they whispered, but still their gazes pointed at him.

Khalisha then shifted her eyes. The last student in line has left. He went ahead and ordered a meatball from Daniel. The hand of the meatball seller moved quickly. It didn't take long, he had already gotten a bowl of meatballs and sweet iced tea. Without saying anything, he handed over the money that Daniel had given him. After taking his change, he stepped away to where Daniel was.

"It's meatballs and sweet iced tea." Khalisha placed the meatballs and sweet iced tea in front of Daniel, then sat down in front of him.

"It's just one of the factors. I'll give you a lot of money."

"Where do I know you want to order how many bowls. You didn't say anything" Khalisha said. He took some money out of his pocket. "This is the change."

Daniel took a breath. Khalisha is different. In fact, he deliberately gave more money so that Khalisha himself could order it. But he didn't do it at all. He returned the change without a bit less.

"Daniel, I did what you wanted. So now, please give me back my supplies. I'm hungry" Khalisha's pinta can no longer hold her rumbling belly.

Hearing this, Daniel immediately returned Khalisha's provisions. Of course Khalisha immediately took her food and opened the lid. Not yet he put a mouthful of rice into his mouth, he stared in shock. Suddenly, Daniel put some meatballs and a little noodle in his bowl into his container.

"Why did you put your meatballs here?" tanyanya's confused.

"Mostly. It will not end" replied Daniel lying. He doesn't know why he lied to Khalisha. Maybe because he knew that later Khalisha would refuse his gift, or maybe because there are other things that he himself did not realize. I don't know. He was lazy to think about it.

No more reason to refuse. Daniel had already put a little meatball in his food. Khalisha glanced at Daniel. Daniel looks ordinary. He even ate his meatballs casually. Khalisha looked back at her meal. The contents of the provisions now look uncharacteristic. Sambal fried tempeh and tofu mixed with kale and meatballs. I don't know what it's like later.

"Oh yes, Lis. I heard you were smart. I have a maths review in a week. I want you to teach me" said Daniel suddenly.

"Alright," answered Khalisha briefly, then put the food in its stock into the mouth. Bribe after mouthful of rice began to give relief to his empty stomach. As expected, the taste of the food in the stock became unreasonable. Even so, he remains grateful. Were it not for Daniel, he would have never felt meatballs in his entire life.

"good. Then I'll go to your house" Daniel said excitedly.

"No need. Let me go to your house."

"Why don't you want me to come to your house?" daniel asked confused. Maybe if the girls who often approached him would be happy if he came to their house, but Khalisha did not even like the arrival.

"I'm not used to guests."

Daniel was shocked to hear Khalisha's reply. The girl in front of him always seemed to be alone. He even found Khalisha sitting alone in her class. An idea suddenly crossed his mind.

"Because you didn't let me come to your house, then you just stayed at my house" she said with a small smile.

Khalisha coughed at hearing that. He quickly took the mineral water he was carrying and gulped it down until half a bottle was left.

"I didn't hear wrong, did I? You asked me to stay at your house?!"

"Yes, you didn't hear me wrong."

"That's right, Daniel. I spent my time in your house."

"How else. Your house is far away from my home. You must also walk to my house. Instead of tired of traveling here and there, you better just sleep in my house. After all, I can easily find you if there's anything, '" explained Daniel.

Khalisha hesitated to say yes. His mind is so fucked. On the other hand, he could understand the meaning of Daniel's words. It's true, he doesn't have to go back and forth and walk far. But still, he could not just stay at someone else's house, especially at a man's house. What his grandparents would say when they learned of this.

Again Daniel smiled slightly at Khalisha. He could already guess what Khalisha's expression would be like. Even though he was silent, he could see the confusion on his face.

He sighed, then said, "As for your grandparents, you just calm down. I'll talk to them. After all, you are my servant. At my house later, you're not just teaching me math."

"I understand. But if my grandparents don't agree, I can't stay in your house."

"You're calm" he said, smiling happily, "have you eaten it?"

"It." Khalisha closed her container.

"Today I'm so happy. You did your first job well."

"First assignment?" khalisha asked confused.

"Yes. Your first job is to make me eat here."

Khalisha was surprised to hear that. He was completely inexhaustible with Daniel's way of thinking. There are only his actions that make him confused. I don't know. Whatever Daniel's nature, he was already his assistant. Inevitably, he had to obey the orders of his master.
