" Ezra and I have known each other since we were kids because he lived near my house. I had considered her family from the beginning, but one day I hurt her and left her at her mother's request. I thought it was for his own good but it turned out I was wrong. At first because of my guilt I put empathy on him who somehow turned into love. I asked her to keep our relationship a secret from everyone because of our pretty glaring age difference but today her mom found out everything and she kicked me out of Ezra's apartment."

Bima showed a concerned face as Sania recounted what had just happened to her.

" Where are you going now?."

" I don't know yet because I don't have a definite destination. The friend I can ride with is also not in his house right now. Maybe I'll go to the hotel for a while."

" It's late and it's not raining yet how about you sleep in my apartment for the night. Your boyfriend must be worried and will be looking for you."

Sania who at that time was exhausted both physically and mentally for a moment thought that it was not a bad idea. Tomorrow he could think of finding a place while waiting for Ezra who could not be contacted since. He needs to meet so he can hear an explanation from her.

" Okay senior. Just until Ezra comes I'll wait for him in your apartment."

Sania did not stall for time as her body began to shiver. He dried his body and changed clothes for no more than 10 minutes and then sat on the living room sofa while waiting for Bima who was still in his room.

Sania who waited long enough to unknowingly fall asleep on the sofa with a sitting position. Bima who had just finished saw him a little uncomfortable so he took the initiative to justify Sania's position.

Seeing her so beautiful even while sleeping made Bima stunned, she even stretched out her hand to brush off Sania's wet hair that covered part of her face to make it more visible.

Bima rubbed his face to eliminate all bad thoughts. He went back to his room to get a blanket.

One hour later. Brag.brag.. The sound of people running sounded faintly by Bima. He already suspected that it was his neighbor, Sania's boyfriend.

Bima casually opened the door of her apartment and saw Ezra coming out of her unit like a club with a sigh.

" You looking for your girlfriend? He's inside."

Ezra scrunched his forehead but was a little relieved to hear it.

Without any invitation Ezra just entered through Bima who was still standing at the door.

" Sister.."

" He was sleeping soundly. Don't bother him."

" I'll take him home."

" You don't know what she's been through today let her rest for a little while."

Ezra clenched his hand and approached Bima.

" He's my girlfriend, you have no right to rule me."

The tense atmosphere between the two is interrupted by the sound of Sania waking up from her sleep.

" Sir.."

" Sister, you're awake. Let's go home."

" Sania, take this medicine you're running a fever from the rain."

" Thank you, senior."

Ezra precedes to snatch the medicine roughly from Bima's hand he even half throws a compress cloth on Sania's forehead before wiping it back into their apartment.

Sania is taken to Ezra's room. He was asked to lie down on his bed.

Ezra then placed his hand on Sania's forehead which still felt hot. Sania got up and sat down slowly.

" Ezra, your mama was here."

" Yes, I know everything. Brother don't worry I'll make sure he won't dare to harass you anymore."

" We need to talk."

" Tomorrow, after you're healthy. Now go to sleep, don't think of anything."

Because Sania's head was heavy plus the fever was high enough he finally obeyed Ezra's words and kept all his questions for later.

As Sania rests, Ezra is barely asleep, lying next to her while occasionally changing the compress on Sania's forehead to bring down her fever. Sometimes when Sania is delirious and crying in her dreams Ezra will hug her or pat her gently.

As the morning approached, Sania had started to feel better even though her face still looked pale. He then took his cell phone and alerted one of the staff for permission not to enter work that day.

Sania comes out of Ezra's room after she can't find him anywhere. He was in the kitchen with his apron.

" Sister, be careful."

Ezra immediately approached when he found out Sania was going down the stairs slowly.

" Sit down, I'll have breakfast."

Ezra serves two bowls of porridge with various other complementary foods. Sania just silently watched with a bitter smile.

Ezra had almost finished half of his bowl but Sania had only bribed once and only stirred up her food.

" Is that not delicious? Brother want me to make something else?."

" No, it's delicious just that I'm not having a taste for food. Ezra.. Do you really have a fiance?."

Ezra was silent for a while as his face stiffened instantly.

" Did my mama tell you that?."

" Hmmm.."

Ezra massaged his forehead with a heavy sigh.

" I was betrothed but we're not officially engaged yet."

" We. haah.. So right, yeah. Then I have to how.."

Ezra clasped Sania's hand but Sania kept her eyes off.

" From the beginning all I loved was my brother, you had to trust me. It's all just about business so I'm going to clear things up and I'm going to make sure that my engagement never happens."

" What about your family and the family of your future fiancee? Can you be hated by them just because of me?."

" I said you don't have to worry you just have to trust me."

" How can I not worry if you just keep hiding everything from me. You're so secretive even to me, you never let me know about you. You're a stranger to me now, Ezra."

Ezra lowered his head to hear Sania's grievance all this time which he now let out.

" What exactly is your job and what is your family background, Ezra?."

" I. Darma Bakti Group heir. So I'm the granddaughter of president Mariana and my mama is the daughter-in-law who was never introduced to that public. While my father is the one who has just been introduced to me for the last 9 years. Does that answer your question?."

Sania shut her mouth in disbelief and her eyes signaled her disappointment to Ezra. How could he have just been told that after they had been together for a year.
