Ezra Family

After a long struggle, Sania finally decided to agree to study abroad at Sandra's request. He has prepared everything including applying for a scholarship program.

Sania just stayed waiting for whether she escaped or not and that made her even more anxious. There were things that stuck in his heart during that time because he had not told Ezra his intentions.

That day, Ezra, who will soon leave the Junior High School, came home with enthusiasm because he knew there was Sania waiting for him.

While walking the figure that he missed the most when he came home was already standing leaning against the wall of the fence to welcome him.

" Sister.."

Ezra waved from a distance making Sania laugh and waved her hand back.

" You're fast as well."

" I'm in a hurry to miss you."

" Hahaha.Then what about your test?."

" Everything is going well I'm sure the results will be satisfactory."

ezra said he was proud to make Sania happy.

" Because you're done with the final exam, I'll treat you to ice cream. You want?."

" I'm a little boy."

Sania put on a smile because Ezra who now often protests if he treats her like a child but Ezra still follows Sania's steps towards the minimarket without saying much.

The two of them sat in the chairs provided while enjoying the ice cream they chose.

" sister. I have decided, I also want to be a doctor in the future."

Sania raised her eyebrows slightly surprised but also happy that Ezra finally had a target to achieve.

" I'm so glad to hear that. If you believe in your ideals then you must keep pursuing them."

Ezra nodded in agreement. And they talk so much about it that Sania loses the opportunity to tell Ezra about her school.

A few days later, the time Sania was waiting for arrived. He uncertainly checked the results of the scholarship acceptance announcement at the overseas campus.

Her name is listed to be one of the scholarship recipients and Sania is almost speechless.

Sandra who was in the kitchen immediately went to Sania's room and she who was curious to see her laptop and when she found the name Sania, Sandra was not able to hold her own. They embrace full of happiness.

" Congratulations, son. You are my proud son."

A week after the announcement Sania had to schedule her departure. But he again had no chance to talk to Ezra. And that day his determination was already unanimous he would try to make Ezra understand his decision.

Sania was like last week waiting for Ezra to come home from her school dorm. The long school holiday has almost begun so as to make up for his mistake that continues to delay telling Ezra, who is, Sania plans to spend the rest of her time in Indonesia doing fun things with Ezra like when they were kids.

Ddrrt. ddrrt. The sound of his phone interrupts Sania. He stared at the new number that contacted him hesitantly and he accepted the call.

" Hello.."

" Hello.. Is this true with Sania?."

The voice of the foreign woman at the other end made Sania frown her forehead.

" Well, who am I talking to?."

" Meet me Maudy, Ezra's mother."

Deg. Sania is shocked that she has known Ezra for almost 8 years but she has never met her family and now her mother has suddenly contacted her.

" Yes, ma'am, can I help you? how do you know my phone number?."

" I'm sorry to call you like this. Because one thing or another I can't come to you right away. I got your number from the maid's aunt."

" All right."

" Sey Sania, there's something I want to ask you for. It's about Ezra. Actually I had long persuaded him to come back to live with me but he continued to refuse. And one of the reasons is because of you, the person she already considers her family."

Maudy's words sounded polite but Sania felt a hint of arrogance in them. But he tried to keep listening to it until it was over.

" I thank you all for helping and keeping Ezra from the past. But his family needs him here too, he is the only future heir to his father's company so I want to prepare him from now on. If it's because you guys have trouble choosing, I really hope you can persuade her to go back to where she belongs."

Sania's chest felt pierced by Maudy's words. But he also just found out if all this time Ezra who was abandoned by his family was not an arbitrary child. All night he thought about it to the point that Sania had forgotten that Ezra had been home since.

After her conversation with Maudy, Sania feels there is a point if Ezra returns to her family.

Because at least he will not be too worried about leaving it alone later especially his family is rich enough so it will be easy for Ezra to get what he wants.
