For a long time Alina sat there pensively until she did not realize the sun had completely set. He then pulled out his phone from his pocket and sent a message to Sania after thinking for a long time.

Doctor, I'm in the park near your apartment. Can we meet for a second?.

Sania simply read the message without replying to it. Alina also understood that maybe she was resting or maybe Sania was still in the hospital she did not know but somehow she felt like seeing him again.

A few minutes later someone came in with a hunting breath. Alina is a little surprised because it turns out Sania came to see her in a home outfit that is a little different from her image in the hospital.

" Doctor Sania.."

" Ali.na.."

Sania sat beside him while adjusting her breathing.

" My age can't lie, running for 10 minutes I've been overwhelmed like this. So what's up, Alina?."

" I'm sorry doctor, I called you all of a sudden like this."

" It's okay, I'm also relaxing at home."

" There's actually something I didn't tell you. I'm afraid you're gonna write it down and it's known to Uncle Ryan, so I'm hiding this fact."

Sania listened carefully to Alina's words about her family. About him who always witnessed the quarrels of his parents, about those who always pretended to be happy in front of everyone, and about how mentally disturbed because Alina always blamed herself for her family's messy condition.

" If I make a mistake, my papa will scold my mama. If I don't follow their will my mother will accept the punishment. That's why I always obey whatever they say just so that papa doesn't beat up mama. My life hasn't been mine since then because they've always arranged everything."

Sania patted Alina on the back to show her sympathy. That day Alina completely vented all her heart that she had been waiting for Sania because for the first time she found someone who could listen to her without judging her.

" Doctor's appointment, won't tell anyone about this, including Uncle Ryan."

" Yes, I promise. Oh my God, what's wrong with your hand?."

Sania was surprised because she only realized the wound in Alina's hand whose blood had dried because Alina had been hiding it since.

" It's nothing."

" Can't, it must be treated immediately before infection."

Sania then asks Alina to wait as she heads to the nearest minimarket. Soon he returned with antiseptic drugs, gauze and much more.

Early treatment despite being quite good late he did, Alina also felt much better after being treated for her injuries by Sania.

" Thank you doctor for today. I'm glad I got to know you for a while, and I'm relieved, my burden is gone before I go."

" Be careful while you're there. Take your treatment well, I'm sure you'll be cured if treated by your papa's great doctors."

" Hhm.. I don't know. Hihi.."

Alina lifted both shoulders and for the first time smiled in front of Sania. He bids her return home after telling Sania all of her life stories.

Before driving forward Alina opened the window and waved her hand before actually leaving Sania who was still standing and returned a wave of her hand.

" Goodbye doctor.."

" Yes, be careful on the road."

The two shouted because Alina's car was already moving forward. Sania returns to her apartment after making sure Alina leaves.

Her morning.

Sania is ready to start her work. While walking in the hallway professor Ryan just came out of his room neatly with a black suit, then Sania hurriedly approached him.

" Teacher, good morning. Will you have a meeting outside today? Oh yeah about Alina it's like she's not coming to the clinic anymore, you must have heard that, right."

Professor Ryan did not respond to Sania's words, he had since just bowed in lethargy.

" Sania's doctor, Alina, she passed away last night."

Braaks.

Sania dropped some files in her hands until they were scattered on the floor. His originally bright face suddenly turned deathly pale with a blank look.

" How can.. Last night he just met me, professor."

Sania's tears could no longer be contained. Professor Ryan who understood her feelings tried to calm her down.

" Now he's in this hospital's funeral home. His funeral will be held in private for close acquaintances only. If you want to pay her last respects, we can go together. I'll ask the others to replace you temporarily."

Sania agrees to professor Ryan's proposal, so she returns to the locker to replace her white coat with her black coat. While heading to the funeral home Sania does not stop shedding tears. His heart was pounding as if he still could not believe that the young girl had left the world just overnight.

When she arrived at the place where Alina was buried her mother did not stop crying roaring beside her daughter's chest by continuing to say sorry. While papa Alina just stood while staring at Alina who had been stiffened.

Sania was still standing outside from a distance she saw a picture framed with a portrait of Alina smiling loosely as she showed her last night for the first and last time.

He believes that Alina is dead. Sania still has no courage to go inside while professor Ryan has already entered to replace papa Alina and represent their extended family to receive condolences from mourners because his father is still very saddened by the passing of his daughter.

I'm sorry, Alina. I can't bring that smile back.

After a long time of standing and gathering strength Sania finally stepped in and paid her last respects to Alina. He also follows a series of funeral processions from start to finish.

It was late afternoon when Sania returned to the hospital. Because he felt bad for the colleague who replaced him so Sania continued the rest of his work even though he had to overtime.

It was late at night, and to relieve the drowsiness he decided to head to the hospital roof where doctors usually took a break to drink coffee and chat casually with colleagues.

Sania chose a quiet place back then where no one was there.

He looked at the night sky as it was very bright and filled with stars but his tears fell again due to the chaotic feeling he felt that day.

His chest suddenly grew tighter. Recalls her guilt for Alina because she couldn't help him. He felt that he had failed as a doctor to save his patients until Alina chose to end her life.

His knees felt limp he even had to hold on to the parapet. Unable to withstand the tightness of his chest Sania finally gave up, he crouched down and cried while holding his chest and one hand covered his mouth for fear of sounding others.

As soon as the pill he cried so that anyone who saw him would know the sadness of Sania's heart. For so long he cried until his feet tingled, someone came and patted his back.

Sania looked up and it was Bima.

" You've worked hard, Sania. Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault."

Sania woke up and wiped her tears.

" How does senior know?."

" I know the father of your late patient, Alina. So we've been together since the funeral but you didn't realize it and I saw you were devastated by your patient's death so I didn't dare to rebuke you."

" I didn't know it would feel so stifling like this, senior. I doubted if I deserved to be a doctor."

" I understand how you feel. Because I was in the same position as you. But you have to remember doctors aren't gods, so we can't determine someone's destiny all we can do is do what's best for them with the abilities we have."

" Yes you're right, senior."

" You're a great doctor, I'm sure you'll save more people in the future. So don't fall down like this 'cause you have to think about your other patients too."

" Your words always calm others down. Thank you senior, for comforting me. I'll be back to work then."

Sania steps away after conversing with Bima but Bima stops her.

" Sania, why haven't you called me yet?."

" Ah, sorry I forgot. I'll send you my number soon."

" Okay, I'll wait."

Bima still enjoys her rest. A few minutes later a message came in.

Senior, this is my new number. Sanias.

Bima smiled happily and immediately replied to him but Sania did not reply back and it made Bima a little moody and continued to pay attention to her phone.

" It seems he's busy. Alright Bima let's not give up.this time you can definitely get it."
