College Time (1)

Sania took a deep breath as she passed through the gates of her campus. As a freshman majoring in medicine he was so enthusiastic and excited.

After graduation he applied for a scholarship program at the campus and as expected everyone he managed to qualify and get a full scholarship.

Just a little more he can fulfill his goals since childhood is to become a doctor. Bad memories that he experienced some time back still ring in his mind but it does not make his spirit fall and Sania is sure as time goes by he will be able to overcome it.

The largest university in his city where he studied is still an area with his old school. Sania who now lives in a special apartment for students began to get used to her new environment.

Lucky he got it because it is close to the campus and the environment there is quite safe.

That night he just returned home after a full day in his campus.

When passing through the rusun guard post he was surprised because Ezra was already in a special waiting room for guests.

" Your sister's been waiting since the afternoon. Meet him."

said the security guard who was on duty that day.

" What are you doing here?."

" I just want to visit brother for a minute."

" It's already night. Why don't you call me first?."

" Sister's phone is dead."

Sania reached into her pants pocket and sure enough her phone ran out of battery somehow from when.

" Yes let's go to my room."

Ezra followed Sania who was walking in front of him. The hamlet had no elevators so they climbed the stairs up to the 5th floor where Sania's room was located.

" You want to drink this? I don't have anything else."

Sania said after Ezra sat on the small sofa there.

Ezra looked around and Sania's room was quite comfortable. He felt no need to worry anymore let alone his security was good enough.

" I went home and met aunt."

" Oh yeah, how's it going?."

" Thank God, I haven't called her in days. Then with your school?."

" It's not fun, because there's no sister."

Sania laughed looking at Ezra who was advancing her lips. She was too adorable until Sania could not bear to pinch her cheeks.

" Cup.cup.cup..my sweet sister don't grieve that, dong."

Ezra brushed off Sania's hand and muttered softly.

" I'm not your sister."

Sania could hear Ezra's cryptic speech and it made her smile bitterly. Due to the fact that the little boy he took care of like his family since long ago is now a teenager.

And maybe they won't be able to continue together because of the life they each have to live. It didn't feel like Sania was shedding her tears.

" Sister are you crying? I'm sorry I didn't mean to.."

" No, I'm just overwhelmed to see you now. Brother just imagined that one day we wouldn't see each other again.."

" no. I will not leave my sister. I'll follow you wherever you go. I promise."

Sania again cheerfully heard Ezra's innocent speech.

" Okay, I keep your promise. Now let me drive you down to find a taxi. You can't be late for the dorm curfew check."

Ezra complied and returned to follow Sania. Before the taxi came they stood waiting on the side of the road.

" Ezra, thank you for worrying about me. I'm fine now, really."

Ezra looked doubtfully at Sania's eyes, trying to find the truth of her words.

" What's right, brother doesn't lie."

" Look at me, Ezra. I was too busy studying until there was no time to think about it. You can relax now, okay?."

Ezra nodded but his head remained down. Sania did not expect that she would be worried by a child in her eyes. He then hugged Ezra with a feeling of being moved while patting his shoulder.

" Thank you for growing up to be a kind and gentle child, Ezra ."
