Don't You Miss Me?

When it was six o'clock in the afternoon, the servants in Cristin's house seemed busy preparing dinner. It was an impromptu dinner made because of the invitation that Cristin's father gave Orland all of a sudden.

Familiarizing yourself to that young man could not hurt. After all their daughter's relationship with the young man was getting closer after they did camping together. A love affair could happen between the two of them. If that happens, they don't mind but before that happens, they should know more about Orland Dmytry. Don't let the guy be like Johan, good at the beginning but in fact? As parents they do not want their daughter to be cheated again.

The betrayal committed by Johan alone has traumatized their daughter and no longer believes in love. What if their daughter suffers betrayal again? Do not let Cristin decide to become a nun even though actually being a nun is not bad but they are not willing.

Some delicious food is on the table. Mariana looked at all of that and looked satisfied. Even if they only invite one person but they will do it in earnest. The dishes are already in session but where is his daughter? Ever since they came home they haven't seen Cristin.

Mariana stepped out, preferably she contacted her daughter and found out where she was. Don't let him not come back because Orland may be coming soon. The phone is in hand, Mariana calls her daughter. Cristin's phone could indeed be reached but she did not answer at all. It made Mariana anxious, she tried again but again the same thing she got.

"Griffin!" now she is looking for her husband.

"What's wrong?"

"I was worried about Cristin, for some reason she didn't answer when I called her.

"Maybe he's on his way back. Let's just wait a minute."

"All right," said his wife. Maybe what her husband said was right. Cristin never answered the phone when he was carrying a car.

Hopefully their guess is correct but actually at that time Cristin was watching in the cinema. Bored, he prefers to watch a romance movie. Maybe that way his mood will get better and yeah, as a result he cried because of the romance movie. Cristin swore, wrong choice. He should have watched a horror movie so he wouldn't have to grieve like that.

It turned out that the love shown in the movie was not as beautiful as he felt. All of it was just fake, he did not want to believe it even Cristin walked out of the cinema even though the film was not finished. He walked past the couples who looked friendly because the ones watching the movie were all in pairs.

Cristin stepped in with his mind drifting out of nowhere. He even saw a couple sitting together. Damn, because the movie he was watching made it that way. Cristin stepped aimlessly, he didn't even check his phone. This made both of his parents worried. When it was seven o'clock at night, Cristin had not yet returned, while Orland had already arrived.

Orland had just arrived, he was already impatient to meet with Cristin but unfortunately he did not find Cristin even who welcomed his arrival only Cristin's father only.

"Welcome, Orland. I'm sorry to welcome you alone" Cristin's father said.

"It's okay, Mr. Bailey. Where's Cristin?"

"Hm, this is what we were worried about. He hasn't come back."

"What's? Where'd he go?" ask Orland.

"See, his mother's been in touch but there's no response."

"If so I'll go look for him!" orland. She was worried that Cristin would meet her husband. I hope that doesn't happen.

"Sorry to trouble you."

"It's okay," Orland stepped out. Let's hope Cristin is okay but where should he look?

As he thought so, Cristin's car went inside. Orland did not get in the car. It looks like Cristin. His eyes did not leave the car until Cristin got out of the car. Orland ran up to him, he also called Cristin.

"Cristin, wait."

"Orland?" Cristin looked towards him. Oh, mercy. He forgot that the man was coming. He was so drowning in grief that he forgot about anything.

"Cristin" his mother ran up to him and hugged him.

"Where have you been? Why did you just come back?" ask mother.

"Sorry, Mommy. I went to the spa and the hot spring. I'm sorry I didn't tell Mommy" Cristin told a little lie.

"Mommy thinks something happened to you, baby,"

"I'm sorry" Cristin was so unwell.

"All right, let's go in. Orland has come, go take a shower" said his mother.

Cristin nodded and smiled, he is indeed good at hiding the sadness of his heart. He did not want his parents to worry about his situation. Mariana and Grifin invited Orland inside, the man's eyes not turning away from her. Although Cristin can deceive his parents but he can not fool him. He thinks something happened to him.

Cristin went to take a bath, while her parents talked to Orland. They were very grateful to the young man for being willing to look for Cristin even if he did not. They used that time to get to know Orland although there was still a lot they wanted to know but Cristin's presence stopped their conversation.

"Sorry to keep you waiting" Cristin sighed, as if nothing had happened to her.

"Byeah, I'm hungry too" Cristin smiled but her father and mother looked at each other. It seemed like they had to leave the young man alone.

"If so go take Orland," said his mother.

"I mean Mommy?"

"Mommy and Daddy are leaving because there's an event. Enjoy the time of you two" said his mother as she moved on.

"What's? Hey, what the fuck?" Cristin wants to protest. Aren't they the ones who invited Orland? Why did they just run away? Both of his parents intentionally.

"Enjoy the time you two, sorry we didn't accompany" Grifin told Orland.

"It's okay, Mr. Bailey. Enjoy your time" Orland got out of his seat. He knew they were on purpose but this was good, so he could tell what Cristin was going through.

Cristin chased after her parents who had already stepped out, she even clung to her mother and whispered.

"You're on purpose, aren't you?"

"No, we're going on a date. Enjoy the time you two."

"Mom, why do I feel like you're setting me up?"

"It's not good to leave guests alone."

Cristin stopped the steps with a pouting face. Though he thought they were going to have dinner together but in fact? Never mind, Orland was already in his house and he couldn't possibly drive out.

Cristin went back inside and approached Orland who was waiting in the living room. The man smiled at his arrival.

"Sorry to keep you waiting" Cristin said.

"It's okay," Orland stepped closer to him. He did not expect that Cristin's parents would leave them.

"Where are you from, Cristin. Why did you just come back?"

"What do you know?" ask Cristin with a ketus.

"Can't it?"

"No! You yourself can't be reached today and go out of nowhere so you can't know!" Cristin stepped away, while Orland followed in his footsteps.

"Are you looking for me?" ask Orland.

"No, I'm not looking for anyone. I didn't even call anyone!"

Orland smiled, he knew Cristin was looking for him but he didn't expect Cristin to mention this because he wasn't around.

"Are you looking for me because you miss me, Cristin?"

"A-What? Offhanded! Who misses you?!"

"Come on, there's nothing to be ashamed of," Orland approached Cristin hurriedly and hugged her from behind until Cristin's steps came to a halt.

"I'm sorry, today I went to my parents' graves. I want to talk to them without anyone bothering me" Orland said.

"It's none of my business!" Cristin.

Orland smiled and landed a kiss on Cristin's cheek, "I miss you so much, Cristin. Don't you miss me?" whispered.

Cristin shut up, miss that guy? Wh-wh-what for?

"No!" he said, releasing Orland's hand. He couldn't possibly miss that guy, no. Is love not just an illusion? He knows love is not as sweet as in the movies so he should not be involved again with the name of love. Cristin stepped towards the dining table and said, "Let's eat soon, I've been dying to sleep after this!"

Orland was more astonished to see his attitude. He's getting more and more convinced something happened to Cristin. He became very curious, where Cristin went today and what he did. Tonight he should know and he won't leave even if he's expelled.
