The Decision to Return

Cristin was pensive while at work, he was thinking how to resign because he intended to go home. He had to find a good reason, all this time his boss was very good. Therefore it would feel bad if he resigned suddenly.

But he had already decided to return, preferably he did not delay because he was already impatient to end his relationship with Johan. There was no need to think much, the more he thought the more he felt bad for his boss.

Cristin moves on, he'll meet his boss and talk about this. Hopefully, his intention to resign was accepted by his superiors so that he could return to New York soon. Cristin stepped into his boss' room with a smile and greeted his best friend once in a while.

Whether he will return to the country again or not, he himself does not know let alone he does not know Johan will complicate their divorce or not. He hopes their divorce can be completed quickly but if he remembers the words of Johan last time, he feels it will not be easy.

Cristin stopped in front of his boss room, Cristin tried to smile, the door was knocked slowly. A woman's voice rang out, it was the voice of her boss. The door of the room opened, Cristin smiled as she looked at her boss.

"Oh, Cristin. It just so happened that you came, I just wanted to ask you to meet me," the boss said.

"What's up, Mam? Did I make a mistake?" ask Cristin stale.

"No, come. I have something to talk to you about."

Cristin nodded and sat down before his boss. I don't know what his boss is going to talk about, he will listen for a while and after that he will express his intention to resign from the company.

"Cristin, I hear you're from New York?" ask boss.

"Yes, Mam," Cristin felt a little astonished by his boss's question.

"Good, this is really a coincidence" said the boss with a smile.

"meaning?" Cristin was getting clueless.

"Listen, I got a cooperation offer from an up-and-coming company in New York but since I didn't have time to meet the owner of that company to submit a cooperation proposal so I thought not it's wrong to send you to New York let alone you from there," explained the boss.

"But, Mam. Me?"

"Cristin, this is your chance. I believe you can get that cooperation and move this company forward, "said the boss.

"Thank you for the opportunity, Mom. But really I wanted to submit my resignation because I wanted to go back to New York to solve my personal problems" Cristin said.

"Oh, no. Why do you suddenly want to resign?" the boss looks disappointed.

"I'm sorry for the sudden, '" Cristin was so unwell. His boss looked disappointed, the woman leaned against the chair while thinking. However, he must get this cooperation because it means a lot to his company.

"Look at this, Mama. I'll try to get this cooperation for the company as long as I'm in New York even though I'm not tied to the company, how?" Cristin Proposal.

"I came back to solve my personal problems but as my responsibility because I resigned suddenly then I will help to get that cooperation for the company. I will try and promise not to disappoint" Cristin said.

His boss seems to be thinking, Cristin's idea isn't bad. In that office the best candidate was Cristin, so he chose Cristin and sent him to New York but he really did not expect Cristin actually wanted to resign.

"Trust me, Mama. I promise I'll get that cooperation for you" Cristin assured.

"Well, it's not a bad idea but I don't take your resignation for granted" the boss said.

"What's? Why?" Cristin seemed to not understand.

"If you can really get this cooperation then I'll allow you to step back" the boss said with a smile. He did just that because he was worried that Cristin was not doing the job in earnest.

Cristin breathed a sigh of relief, it turned out that was all then he could support her especially since the beginning he did want to do it.

"Is that all?" ask Cristin.

"Yes, but remember, you can't fail!"

"I'll do it" Cristin smiled sweetly.

"I'm glad to hear that, if it works out, I'll send someone to take a letter of cooperation from you. I'll give you the proposal later and I'm putting a lot of hope in you" the boss said.

"Surely, I really won't disappoint."

"I believe you."

Cristin moved and welcomed his boss' hand. Permission to resign already he got, just get a letter of cooperation that his boss wants. Think of it as his last task, he would definitely do well.

After all, she has no activities after returning and cannot possibly dwell on her divorce alone let alone she does not know where Johan is at the moment. Think of it as another activity so he doesn't get bored after he returns to New York.

Cristin came out of his boss room, it seemed like he had to say goodbye to his friends because today would be his last day working there. After Cristin left, the phone was in the boss's hands because he wanted to contact his new business partner in New York.

"Sir, I agree to the terms you gave me and I've sent the person you want to go there to give you our cooperation proposal later" said the boss.

"Good, but we won't just agree to the cooperation. We'll see the performance of the employee you sent," a man spoke to him.

"Surely, according to your request, he won't let you down."

"Alright, Mistress. Let's see how your employees perform."

After getting such an answer, the conversation was over. The phone handle is put, the woman who has long been the leader of the company hopes Cristin does not fail because this is a golden opportunity that he should not waste. A company that is skyrocketing suddenly offers cooperation, this is really a great opportunity especially the company that is not how selected to establish cooperation with that company.
