Not Suited to Exposure
Canteen

It was still early in the morning when I got to school. There were only a few students in the class, one of them was me. I rubbed my palms trying to ward off the cold.

Then I saw someone I knew approaching me. I frowned but kept a small smile as Sheva greeted me and sat down beside me.

"Who's looking?" I asked because he's from the next class.

"Find me," he answered. "Gue again find volleyball members. You coming, huh?"

I'm laughing a little. "Lo invite me?"

"Yes. Why?"

I'm shaking. "Don't play volleyball, just run around the field sometimes I like not to stand it. Find the others."

I saw Sheva sighing. "Yes," he answered. "Eh, rest later with me yuk."

"Jump me with Liona and Andin. I'm usually the same."

Sheva nodded with satisfaction. Then the tall girl paid to go to another class looking for members for her volleyball team.

I shrugged my shoulders. Well, good, even though we're not so close. My friends are a little. As for Sheva, I know him because he had participated in photography even though only one semester before he moved to volleyball.

The class starts fifteen minutes later. After being busy focusing for four times forty-five minutes, I felt incredibly hungry. I pulled Andin and Liona over to the cafeteria immediately.

"Liat Sheva is not? He said he wanted to join, "I said to my two best friends while pouring sauce.

"No," replied Liona.

"Kok Tumben want to join us?"

I shrugged my shoulders to answer Andin's question. "No papa kali. He's our friend too."

I saw Andin sneering through his lips. The girl continued eating without saying anything. I shook my head slowly.

I glanced to the right side when I heard a bit of unrest at the next table. The school star everyone idolized was there. Malika, or should I call her, my boyfriend's crush.

It was no wonder he was surrounded by so many people. From peers to underclassmen. It's no surprise that my boyfriend likes it. Surprisingly, why would my ex want to turn it back on me. Or why she wants to be my girlfriend.

Well, why am I being so insecure?

I let out a breath. Then a bunch of boys came closer to me. No, exactly my boyfriend and some of his friends. The rest went to another table.

"Lo don't eat?" I asked when he was just hitchhiking while two of his friends were busy with his food.

"Udah," he answered while plucking a dumpling cracker from Gama's bowl, his friend who was rewarded with a slap in his hand from the owner of the food.

I shook my head. They come to make a crowd here.

"Lo's boyfriend isn't me. Don't ask me!" exclaiming Gama was annoyed because Rael continued to pluck his dumpling crackers.

Rael landed his hand on the table. "How'd it go? My boyfriend is insensitive."

I looked at him who glanced at me. "That said he had eaten no need to be shirking," I said. Rael sneered through a frown on his lips.

"So long time will not be sensitive later."

I put down my spoon when I heard Andre muttering. "It is up to you to sin. Su'udzon to me" I said. "Whose feelings have been insensitive from before?" I muttered in a smaller voice.

"Gue's? When?" ask Rael.

I shook my head quickly and continued eating.

"Well, nah loh ngambek. Rasain," chirped Gama.

"Sir papa. I'll kiss again."

There was a strong push from inside my esophagus. I suddenly coughed so hard that my face felt hot and red.

I heard my desk make a little fuss before Rael ran and came back with a box of milk for me.

He held my head while giggling with his two friends because he saw the reaction I gave.

Before Rael could answer, I stood up and gave a blow to his back head. Rael complained and stepped away while still laughing.

Still with a hoarse throat I looked at him sharply.

"Udah play kiss-kiss. I've missed this—"

I glanced to the right side. Precisely in the direction of two girls who seemed to be a junior class sister was talking about me. They whispered, but I wasn't deaf to a conversation with such a volume.

And what am I seeing? Malika stopped them. The two underclassmen obeyed the girl's words.

"Don't take care of anyone else. The important thing is, if you have a boyfriend, don't copy it. A healthy relationship."

My head suddenly felt hot as it clearly grasped Malika's words to the underclassman. Both jaws I valveed tightly. I felt like I was going to talk in front of his face and deny everything.

The longer I heard their conversation, the more my head felt like it was about to explode with emotion. With restraint, I got up from the table without saying anything. Get out of the canteen and walk in the original direction. Wherever it matters my head is cold first.

No. gabe. I'm not angry that he's insulting me. I just don't like the way he does as if he has no sin. Moreover, she was my ex-lover, the dislike was becoming more and more just because she acted like Rael had never done that to her.

I'm not wrong, am I? What Rael did to her, must be beyond what Rael did to me.

I continued walking without a definite direction. Just follow where my feet are. Until I unknowingly stumbled on something and almost fell down if I did not feel the pull on both my hands.

"Lo not papa?"

I rolled my eyes so close to what was happening. To my left and right were two guys I didn't know, who were holding me down. And another guy in the front looked at me.

I tried to pull both my hands. "G-no papa."

Suddenly another pull pulled me from behind. "Don't hold it either."

"Casual time. We just want to nolongin."

"Oh that. May God repay all your kindness," replied Rael with a flat face.

I feel bad. "Make it, yes" I said sincerely.

The two men nodded. "Other times be careful, brother?"

I just smile. Rael had said with a scurrilous tone that the boy was irritated. The three underclassmen looked at him no less irritated even though they did not dare to fight.

"Lo too. Is there a problem with my girl?" Rael curtly said towards the right side. To two girls I didn't know who were sitting in the hallway.

"G-gue accidentally."

"Lo thinks I'm blind. It was intentional, wasn't it?"

"really. Not intentionally. Her brother walked while daydreaming."

I pulled Rael's hand away before the guy answered again. Hearing Rael argue hurts the ears even though his harsh words were never addressed to me, but it is not uncommon for me to see him easily speaking harshly to others.

"She said it was unintentional. My fault too, I daydream," I said as I continued to pull him.

Rael stopped until I stopped. "Lo's mad about that?"

I looked at him for a while before shaking. "So. I'm not mad." I pulled him back.

I didn't look at him anymore but I'm sure his forehead must be wrinkled at me. His habits.

Unknowingly, we were already in front of his class. "Kok lo who nganter me anyway?" tanyakanya.

"Our color is through the front of your class" I replied indifferently looking the other way.

Rael just shut up. The guy pulled my left cheek back to look at him. "Lo good is ugly again. Want me to kiss?"

I round my eyes. My face was so hot that I heard him complaining as I flicked his chin hard.
