Miss of Sunday

Miss of Sunday
The Natalis Dies

Sunday opened the bag, picked up the phone inside. My name is written on the screen.

"Yes Ma."

"Hey brat, why don't you want to know your Mama's situation at all?" There was the sound of her mother across.

"I know Mama's healthy. Om Rudi said mama now also had time to gather with the mothers of the complex for morning gymnastics on Sundays and attend lectures on Thursday night. Every early in the month Mama also participated in PKK activities at Mama's place. I think Mama's healthier and happier now."

"So you think because Mama's healthier and happier and you don't need to call?"

"Yes yes, Mama. Forgive your son for this wicked one." Sunday giggled as he said that.

"Mom curse to be a donut later you."

"The boy, Ma." A shadowed donut-studded cake topping assorted flavors appeared on his head.

"This is Mama eating donuts. One of Mama's students was having a birthday and brought Mama a dozen donuts."

"Well, that's very tempting."

"Go home, I'll leave you some."

"Mama. I have to do a lot of projects so even if I go home for sure it will just move my work home."

"Alright, I really have to make Om Rudi move you to a division that never gets busy."

"Where is it, Ma. All the divisions here hold their own solid responsibilities. Never mind... Mama take it easy, as soon as I have free time I'll be home."

"All right, you promised. So, if it gets too busy again, I'll fire you from Font." Sunday chuckles.

"Yes. yeah... Mamma. Mama's got no teaching hours?"

"Mama has classes soon. Now the kids are changing clothes after sports."

"Yes, Mama get ready first. I've also reached Font."

"Okay, work well but don't get too busy."

"Ready, Ma." Then her mother hung up the phone.

Entering the lobby door of Font, Sunday saw a plasma screen displaying the agenda of the Font's 10th annual dies natalis celebration and will be celebrated this weekend. Hearts shriveling. His intention to return to his mother's house was delayed again. He had imagined surely his mother would nag him all out later.

Sunday was still standing in front of the plasma screen.

"What do you want?" Someone is standing next to him now.

"Gift?" Sunday looked at Lita.

"Yes, the weekend dies natalis will be filled with various competitions. Competition is conducted by every division."

"Oh yeah? That must be so exciting." Sunday looks enthusiastic.

"Yes. And last year the Red Hat division was the winner of many competitions. That was the last 3 years in a row yesterday. I hope this year we can win their top score. Rima's on leave anyway so I guess their powers are dwindling."

"Is that so?"

"That rhyme besides being smart he is also clever. Many races were won by him. So, since she's on maternity leave, I'm sure she won't be able to enter any competition. Let's slay all divisions and advance to be the winner of many races." Lita optimistic.

"alright. I'm ready." Sunday looks very excited too.

"What kind of race is there? Must be one of them is making programs and the like."

"Not really. If in the past during the reign of Mr. Sasono lombanya includes physical activities that are recreational and entertaining. Yes, not far from the race when we commemorate the independence day of our country when we were children." Lita laughed a little considering the races she had participated in.

"Oh so. I think the race held will be very serious and related to programming."

"According to Mr. Sasono the race was just to please and entertain the employees so it should be light and fun. Project employees alone is enough time, energy and mind so ineffective if doing competition as serious as that."

"Well, that's a great idea."

"Sasono is good. Hopefully his successor is just as good. Fine, young and handsome." Lita sparkled as she said that. Sunday shouts at him.

"Oh yeah, thinking of him I'm still curious about what he did to you back then. Are you that close to her?" Lita probing.

"Of course." Sunday left and walked to the elevator.

"Hey, don't make me think that's right." Lita chased after Sunday who accelerated her footsteps.

"This time you have to answer it correctly." Lita tugged at Sunday's arm hoping Sunday would enlighten her on her curiosity.

"What?"

"How come you guys go together like that and don't come back until work ends."

"Well, I'll just tell you so you have to promise not to share it with anyone."

"So, is there anything between you?" Lita covered her mouth with a shocked expression.

"You promise you won't gossip around?"

"Yes, I promise." Now Lita signals her to lock her mouth.

"Before we were in Font, we actually knew each other."

"really?" Elevator door opens. Sunday put his foot out. Lita follows.

"So you..."

"I didn't come in here because of the connection. I took the test early to the end." Sunday cut in before Lita thought about it.

"Yes I know. But what's your relationship outside of Font."

"Mmm.we're friends." Sunday answered briefly and entered his study and sat down at his desk.

"Friends only?" Lita's still investigating.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Sunday briefly. He knew Lita would not easily believe his words.

"Here you go, I have to do my job. You, go to your own desk." While pushing Lita who seemed to still want to chat it towards her own desk.

Sunday stirred his half-living iced tea. Lita still enjoyed the food. Gina enters the cafeteria.

"Hey, you're here already." Gina greeted with her sweet smile.

"Yes, we thought you had lunch outside." Answer Lita.

"It should be. But Faris still has meetings so I have to eat alone." Sunday stiffened but then returned to stirring his drink.

"Sun, you're new here. This is the first dies natalis week in Font. You're gonna get involved, right?"

"of course. I'm very curious about that." Sunday's reply was a bit stiff because ever since Gina knew Faris and she were dating, this was the first time they had chatted again.

"Make sure your division gets a lot of presents."

"Of course we'll try." Lita answered excitedly. Sunday was silent yet to speak again.

"According to which team will get help from our sponsorship project?" Said Gina later. The first Sunday following the week dies natalis just frowned cluelessly.

"I hope Mr. Faris will pick my team." Said Lita confidently.

"Just a good friend?" Gina looked at Lita and Sunday alternately. Sunday beckoned Gina to shut up and just say what Lita said.

"Well, I'm afraid Faris will side with Fedora's team this way." Gina sarcas.

"But I don't think Faris is that kind of person. Let alone a good friend, he might even put his own girlfriend aside in this regard. He always maintains sportsmanship especially when it comes to work. Anyone who is with him in the scope of work will be seen as the same, without exception. I've known him well enough." Sunday still silently pretended to listen to what Gina said. Lita nodded in understanding.

Sunday knew Gina's words were certainly on her. He knew Gina wanted to tell him that she would still be around Faris even though Faris had chosen Sunday as her boyfriend.

Her thoughts were still fixed on Gina's words as Sunday was still engrossed in playing her feet by the pool behind Font. This afternoon he can go home on time because the project is finished and just do the installation tomorrow. So he wanted to enjoy his time at Font in a way he had never tried. Play to the pool. Not for swimming because he can't swim. He just wanted to lighten his mind.

Sunday knew it would not be easy for Gina to accept Faris, who she hoped would become her boyfriend. Gina must hate him now. But what can Sunday be? He likes Faris and Faris likes him too. Faris also said she never gave Gina hope. All he did was become Gina's best friend. Although in the end it makes Gina misunderstand and so like Faris.

"It feels so uncomfortable like this." Grumpy Sunday while moving his feet in the water and feeling the cold sensation. In this afternoon the swimming pool does tend to be quiet especially on active days like this. Rarely are officers there. They are too busy to swim on weekends.

"Hey mermaid. What are you doing there?" Faris' voice was several steps away from where he was sitting.

"Did you miss the water so much?" Sunday looked at Faris and smiled wryly.

"Why are you here, boss?"

"My radar shows there's a lonely mermaid and she's missing her boyfriend."

"I'm not lonely and I don't miss you. Almost every day we meet. How can I feel what his name misses." Sunday Gumam. Faris smiled as she took off her shoes. Then sit next to Sunday.

"Don't get too close." Sunday shifted its seat.

"For some reason why you're here. It'll make anyone who sees us think a no-no."

"Leave it, it's better because I don't have to tell them." Replied Faris casually played her feet in the water and created waves around her.

"You're always thinking of yourself." Sunday splashed water towards Faris. Faris who was not ready with his actions so shortened because part of his body was wet with splashes of water.

"You want to play games with me. Feel this." Faris did not retaliate by splashing back but instead kicked the surface of the pool water towards Sunday. Instantly he became drenched. Not receiving his body so much wet, Sunday took a hose nearby and sprayed it using a nozzle. At once Faris also became wet.

This made Faris try to snatch the nozzle from Sunday's hand. Turning around and weaving around, the nozzle finally moved into Faris's hand. Sunday is now the target of the spray nozzle. Sunday attempted to seize it again but Faris' tall body made it difficult to reach. Sunday was finally wet. And happ, in one hand, Faris now Sunday is in the deck and behind him.

"Take me off." Sunday thrashing.

"No, I'm not letting you go."

"You're out of your mind. There'll be people who see us later."

"Leave it. I don't care." Faris still hugged him tightly. He now even buried his chin on Sunday's shoulder.

"Week dies natalis later do you want me on your team?" Faris suddenly opened up about that. The same thing he talked about with Gina and Lita this afternoon.

"You know the rules?"

"Hey, I'm the boss here. Although I'm new but I already know this kind of annual event."

"Can you just walk into my team?"

"of course. That's the absolute right that's in me."

"Ahh no, I don't want a team with you."

"Why?" Faris further tightened her embrace.

"Hey, you're making me breathless." Sunday patted Faris' arm pressing down on him.

"Jawab first why don't you want a team with me? Though as a girlfriend I would be happy to be on a team with you."

"I think it's going to be unfair to the other team."

"Yes too. But I want a team with you and I don't want to be with another team."

"Listen to me, you say you're a good boss but you also have to be sporty in your lead."

"But I told you I wouldn't be a good boss, including that I wouldn't be a sportsman's boss."

"Yes, but what you're dealing with right now isn't just me. But also all your employees. So, don't be selfish and attach great importance to our feelings."

"Attent." Faris turned Sunday's body into face to face with him.

"Don't tell me you don't want a team with me." Faris squinted her probing eyes.

"It's not so, but Gina already knows our relationship. So it would be funny if you decided to join the team in my team. He'll know that you're deliberately siding with me. I don't want to be seen using that."

"Oh so..." Faris took off her coat.

"Alright, I'm not taking your team's side directly." Faris smiled at jumawa.

"You mean?"

"I'll think about how. Now put this on." Faris put her coat on Sunday's body and then put it on and buttoned it too.

"What'sthis? I look like a scarecrow." Sunday raised his arm that was overstretched by Faris's suit.

"I don't want any other part of me to wake up looking at you like an aquarium like that."

"What?" Sunday immediately cupped his hands to his chest in the direction of Faris' eyes to him.

"I've already seen it. Even I know the colors and motifs very clearly." Faris held back a laugh.

"So you..."

"Yes, I've seen it. So wear it so that others don't see it. I'm enough to know." Faris's whisper made Sunday's face flushed in embarrassment.

"Bas with you!" Sunday hit Faris' arm. Faris laughing.

"Let's go home." Faris holds the hand of Sunday.

"We?" Sunday asked what Faris meant.

"You want to go home with a soaked appearance and a frothy suit on foot?" Sunday was silent and thought it would be a shame if he did.

"Alright, but surely the whole cctv can't record our togetherness."

"You're this. It's hard to go home with you. Too many requirements. Why don't you ask me to make 1000 temples all over." Sunday laughed gigglingly at Faris sewot like that.

They really went home together. Sunday had been flirting to make sure no one employee saw their togetherness. Faris smiled cutely at Sunday's childish behavior like that.

After exiting Font Sunday, I began to breathe with relief. By car, they only take 5 minutes to get to Sunday boarding. And as Faris' car approached the Sunday boarding house, Victor's car was parked there. And right, Victor stood on the side of the car and turned his head towards Faris' car that was getting closer.

"He's..." Faris's tone of voice did not like.

"Why is he here? You told him to come?" Faris is a little cynical.

"No. I didn't know he was coming."

"Why is he waiting for you?"

"Of course." Sunday was about to descend but Faris prevented it by pulling his arm. Sunday, unprepared, gasped as Faris' kiss landed on his forehead. Victor who could see it did not lose his gasp.

"You.. why suddenly..." Sunday nervous. His heart suddenly beat noisily above normal.

"Find her. I hope you'll never let me down." Faris smiled at Sunday. Sunday was still a little nervous as he opened the door and got out of Faris' car. As Sunday approached Victor, Faris turned back the car to his house.
