"Bridge there. Looks like you're still skidding." Sunday held back laughter.
"I'm not avoiding."
"Have taken a shower there." Sunday pushed Faris towards his home.
"Watch fast, you'll be late for work. A boss can't set a bad example for his men." Sunday deflected Faris' body to the gate of his house.
"I have to leave immediately. I'm almost late."
"But I'm not done talking."
"We'll continue later." Sunday walked backwards away from Faris who was glued to his place. After waving his hand, Sunday turned his back and walked further away from Faris.
Sunday felt there must be something until Faris suddenly proposed to him like that. Not one week into their relationship and Faris has already proposed to her. This is so absurd. What does Faris like to him to rush to get married. Sunday sat all the way to Font until he realized his workplace was in sight. Upon entering Font's courtyard, Sunday sees Gina driving her car towards the parking lot.
Sunday breathed a heavy sigh. How he must face Gina. He really hopes Gina doesn't know anything about how Faris cancelled his departure to Bali with him. Sunday felt guilty. She knows Gina likes Faris, but now she's dating him. He really felt like a friend eating a friend, a fence eating a plant, a wolf in sheep's clothing, a sheep eating a neighboring grass plant, ahh a mess.
"Why a coincidence that we like the same people. This really makes things wrong." Sunday massaged his forehead while entering the lobby of the Font. Right now what he expected was just not wanting to meet Gina. No, not not wanting but not ready to meet him. Surely Sunday will be awkward if you meet Gina.
Before Gina reached the lobby, Sunday immediately entered the elevator which happened to open when she arrived at her doorstep. At least this morning he did not meet face to face with Gina so he could work with a little calm.
Faris drove his car but not to Font but to another place. He sure won't be able to concentrate if he works this morning. Her thoughts were still burdened about her engagement plan with Gina. He called Papa Gina before sliding into his office. And upon arriving papa Gina greeted him warmly as usual.
"How are you, Faris?"
"As Om sees it, I'm fine. Om also seems very fit. It must be because Om is diligent in exercising."
"Run what. Om only occasionally playing golf or fishing with your papa. Football, badminton, especially basketball Om is no longer capable. Om's bones have started to stretch to do that." Then papa Gina laughed.
"Om could have."
"So, what do you need to do here?" Papa Gina felt like they had enough of their pleasantries.
"So this is it, Om. It's about Gina." Faris let out a heavy but slow breath.
"Om and Papi want me and Gina engaged?"
"Yes, I want to strengthen the friendship with your father so I want you and Gina to have a marriage." Papa Gina reasoned. Though that is not the main purpose papa Gina wants them to get married. But more because Gina did like it. And for the sake of keeping his daughter from being impressed to have a dead love for him so papa Gina made that excuse.
"But Om, we were not in a relationship at all to be able to get married in the end."
"Om understand that. So in other words you don't want to marry Gina?"
"I'm sorry, Om. Not because Gina was unworthy, but instead Gina was a good girl. It's just that I already have the person I like so I apologise very much for not being able to fulfill Om and Papi's wishes. Let me and Gina be like this. Ever since Robi left, I felt like I had to love Gina like Robi loved her. So I treated Gina like my own sister." Faris' explanation at length.
"You are Robi's best friend. If he hadn't gotten into that accident, he would've occupied this room by now." Papa Gina's eyes glazed over.
"Robi is also my best friend, Om"
"Ahh, I'm sorry I get sentimental about talking about Robi." Papa Gina wiped her tears. It was clearly reflected in the sadness from the middle-aged man's eyes. Remembering his eldest son who died in an accident 10 years ago, Papa Gina always felt sad.
"It's okay, Om. I'm the one who should apologize for bringing Robi up in our conversation."
"It's okay, you didn't do anything."
"But obviously once again I apologize for not being able to do Om and Papi's wishes."
"It's okay, Faris. Marriage is not something that can be forced. We have to really want a new wedding to be possible. Because marriage is a lifelong goal, not just a temporary one."
"Thank you for your understanding, Om. It's so good that Om can understand what I mean." Faris smiled widely because she was very happy to find Papa Gina who could accept the rejection of her match. After that he said goodbye to retreat from the room. Arriving in the car Faris called his papa.
"Hallo Papi."
"Yes, what's wrong?"
"I've spoken directly to Om Rangga about the cancellation of my arranged marriage plan with Gina."
"What?"
"Quiet Pi, Om Rangga can accept my decision not to continue the matchmaking. So we don't have to propose to Gina."
"You are really. Wanted to put where Papi's face against Om Rangga." Her Papi's voice is rising.
"Just calm down, Om Rangga can understand this. So Papi doesn't have to worry."
"No worries how, we are friends." Papi Faris' voice was still in a high tone.
"Well come home"
"What's up, Pi?"
"The fire wants to beat you up." Threatening Papi Faris. But Faris only replied to him with a small laugh. He knew his Papa wouldn't really beat him up physically. He's not a kid anymore. Let it be that later the Papi is angry, it would be much better to get his Papi anger than to have to be stuck in a marriage relationship with a person he does not love.
Papa Gina's office workspace is quiet in this hour of rest. The officers must be having lunch. Gina entered her papa's room which previously greeted her secretary first. His arrival this time as usual Gina looks friendly.
"Why not have lunch?"
"Yes, it's just coming down. Come have lunch with me. Just now Faris came here."
"Faris? What's for?" Gina wonder.
"I'm here to ask you what Papa's promise was. Did Papa see Om Sasono?" Gina's face flushed red as she asked that.
"It." Papa Gina was now sitting next to Gina on the sofa of the room.
"Then?" Gina's eyes sparkled impatiently waiting for her papa's answer.
"Gina, do you love Faris?" Gina nodded with a smile on her face.
"Then from now on forget about him. You can go to America to continue your schooling or you can take a vacation around Europe if you want."
"Why Pa? Why did Papa tell me to forget Faris?" Gina started to rile.
"Because Faris told Papa he only loved you as his sister. Not more. So she can't have an engagement let alone a marriage with you." A moment of cloudiness paddled in the sky Gina's eyes.
"Pa, I'm just asking this from you. I never asked for anything before. But this is all Papa can't give it to me?" The cloud had already melted into heavy rain by now.
"Gina, ask for anything but don't ask Papa to force someone else's love for you. Papa can't. Papa wasn't that cruel." Papa Gina's voice tries to make Gina realize that love cannot be forced.
"As Papa's daughter, you can get another man who loves you too."
"No Pa, I want Faris. Only he understands me. When I'm lonely, he's always there. When Papa and Mama were not there for me, he who through voice always strengthened me. Convincing that I still have someone I can make a place to lean on." Gina sobs.
The door of his papa's office opened and his mother was seen coming in. Gina still cupped her face with both palms.
"What's up, Pa?" Mama Gina approached her daughter who she had not met in person. Touching shoulders. But her mother became shocked because at once Gina stood up from her seat and left her parents looking at her confused.

"Where are you?" Faris' voice from across the phone.
"In the cafeteria."
"After you're done, hurry up to my room."
"But it's still a break."
"You're disputing your boss' orders?"
"Yes yes, I'll be there after this." Sunday enjoyed lunch again. His feelings shrieked after hearing Faris' voice. Looks like he's going to continue the conversation this morning they were delayed.
Sunday hesitantly knocked on Faris's door. Faris gave him a warning to enter.
"What did you tell me to come?" The sound of Sunday ketus because he felt his lunch was disturbed.
"What are you talking about? You should be polite when talking to the Boss."
"Which boss disturbs his men's lunches and makes commands that are incompatible with work."
"I'm a very special boss so I can do that." Faris.
"Come here, don't just stand there." Faris patted the sofa next to her for Sunday to sit down. Because he had just come to stand by the door.
"No, you always held me down after sitting there."
"There's 20 minutes left, let's have a chat. Enjoy the good times of our backstreet courtship." Sunday smiled wryly. Then sit down on the end of the sofa.
"Why are you so far away. Come here closer."
"No, just here. We don't have to be that close to talk. From here I can still see and hear you."
"But from that distance I can't smell your body."
"You are basic. I want to be here. So don't tell me to go there."
"I'm the only one who's there." Faris shifted her seat closer to Sunday. Sunday stiffened when Faris was just a handful beside him.
"Why should be this close. There you go, there's plenty of places there."
"I want to be close to you. You know, pretending to be your nobody is so excruciating."
"Only that, I should even feel awkward when meeting Gina."
"Why?" Ask Faris casually.
"How am I not awkward. I feel like I've taken the guy she likes. I feel like a very bad woman." Sunday's view glared far away but his eyes were sad.
Sunday recalled meeting Gina before the break. Gina stood in front of the elevator as Sunday was about to have lunch.
"Ha-hi, Gina."
"Sunday..." Gina's face was as happy as ever.
"How was your vacation? Must be so much fun." Sunday mustered up the courage to ask that question and pretended not to know that Faris had not left.
"Funny. But unfortunately Faris didn't come." Gina pouty.
"Oh yeah?" The heart of Sunday pounded violently to carry out the charade.
"Because he has important business" he said."
"Oooohh..."
"But it's still fun." Gina's face was cheerful as usual.
Seeing that Sunday was somewhat relieved. Although there is still a sense of guilt for her sake Faris canceled her departure with Gina.
"Well, you're really mean. How can you corner your own friend." Faris squinted her eyes pretending to intimidate Sunday.
"But it's all because of you. Because you like me it makes me have to date you."
"really? Isn't that dating done by two people who like each other?"
"But you always said you liked me. I've contracted your tribe's disease."
"What's? A disease? Since when does the taste of love can be a disease. Especially can be contagious. You're the one who's right."
"But because you just keep chasing me with your love, I finally like you."
"What's? What are you saying?"
"What?" Sunday was confused by Faris' question.
"Your last three words you just said."
"I like you..." Sunday repeated it again.
"I like you too." Faris said quickly and made Sunday aware he had been framed by him to say that.
"Ahh, you're this." Sunday pats Faris' shoulder. His face was embarrassed. Faris smiled happily at that. Actually, he was that happy. After talking with Papa Gina he felt his burden was lost because he no longer had to undergo marriage with Gina. And Sunday was grateful Faris didn't discuss the wedding she said this morning.
🌸🌸🌸
Gina was in her own room. His heart was broken and broken. He really feels alone. Faris who he had always liked, who had been the back of his heart refused to marry him. And the papa he relied on would prefer not to impose his will on others than to have to make his own daughter happy.
His feelings are completely fucked up. Gina recalled the time Faris left her at the airport. He followed her secretly out of curiosity as to what made Faris suddenly leave her. And it turns out that what he saw was Faris who embraced Sunday. He was convinced that they had a relationship.
Ever since he saw the pictures of Sunday and Faris, he realized there was something between them that he did not know. Then they found them both in Faris' room. He is not a fool who believes in what Sunday says that there is nothing between them. The loving views of the two are enough to make Gina know that they really like each other.
Therefore he deliberately invited Faris and took advantage of his kindness to vacation in Bali. It wasn't Faris who asked her to go together but Gina. He deliberately told Sunday that Faris who invited him was to mess with his heart. For Sunday to think that Faris put his heart on Gina. But all of that did not go as he hoped. Somehow Faris left him to meet Sunday.
The shadows flashed one by one. So that he could no longer think clearly. Then reach the drug in a bottle of packaging and remove some of the contents of which are either 5 or more and drink it at once.
Moments later his eyes started to blur, getting blurred and finally completely dark. Very dark.
