Miss of Sunday

Miss of Sunday
Plea

"Be my girlfriend, Sun."

"What??? Girlfriend???" Sunday did not believe Faris' words. Faris's face looked serious, Sunday getting confused.

What the hell happened to him? Is this a joke? Or some april mob? No, it's not April. Thenwhat?

"Yes, I want us to date." Faris is serious. "Pretend to be dating." Obviously Faris later because he saw Sunday who seemed shocked to hear his statement.

" Are you healthy?" Sunday calmed down and placed the back of his hand on Faris' forehead. His forehead is not hot. He also looks healthy.

"Hey, I'm fine." Raising Sunday's hand.

"Is it possible that your soul is being disturbed?"

"Heh, I'm physically and spiritually healthy, you know."

"Then why suddenly invite me to pretend to date? " Sunday's tone of voice began to rise.

"I'm going through a hard thing." Faris' face looked sad. Seeing that, there was a strange feeling in Sunday's heart.

"What's going on?" Sunday looked soft again. "You're not going to die anytime soon, are you? I mean, you don't have a terminal illness and you have to spend a lot of time with someone, right?" There is a worried tone from the Sunday sentence.

"So much worse than that." Faris lethargic.

"What??? What stadium? Malignant cancer, hepatitis, diabetes, or... AIDS?" Sunday shuddered to himself and covered his mouth with his hands after mentioning AIDS at the end of his sentence.

"Hey, I'm healthy body and soul. Especially AIDS, how can I get AIDS. I'm a good man."

"What a fine man. You change partners often. That's really suspicious." Sunday probing.

"I've said many times, I'm not who you think I am. I'm a good guy, not a drug addict let alone ever do that. I never did any of that." Faris's voice was rising.

"really?" Sunday brought his face closer to Faris and narrowed his eyes.

"Suell up." Faris looked annoyed now. Sunday smiled because finally Faris could show an annoyed expression as well. Rarely could he pout like that.

"Well..what exactly happened?"

#Flashback :

Faris went into his house. At 8 p.m. His house looks empty. No different than the usual days. This house is always quiet and that's what makes Faris prefer to go out of the house to find a crowd.

How not deserted, the house was just inhabited, papi-mami, mbak laila her household assistant and herself. Mr. Aaron, his papa driver, because he lived not far from where they lived would come in the morning to take his papa to the office and would go home after taking his papa back home.

Faris was about to climb the stairs towards her room when her papa suddenly called out. When he entered, Faris did not realize his papa was in the living room.

"Yes, pi..." Faris paused her steps up the stairs and turned toward her papi.

"Where are you, Ris?" The papa put the phone down.

"From a friend's place, pi." Now Faris was already sitting on another chair beside her papa.

"When don't you renew your contract?"

"Come, Pi. I still love working there."

"Fairly quit your job. It's time you helped Papi in the office. Papi needs a companion. Soon Papi will have to retire." Seriously papa.

"There's Novi, Pi. Novi's sister is good enough to help Papi."

"Your brother is a woman, it would be better if the one who replaces Papi later is you. Papi's only son."

"But Pi, not now. I'm not ready." Faris scratched her non-itchy hair.

"When then? You ask for time until when else? Is waiting until Papi really can't work anymore just want to fill a position in the office?"

"But don't say that. Papi is a good leader and no one can fire Papi." Faris chuckles. Of course no one would dare to fire a director who was his own owner.

"But wants you to quit your job immediately."

"Calm Pi, I'll stop. But not anytime soon. Please give me some time, Pi."

"You always bid Papi's orders."

"Come Pi. Papi knows how exciting it is to be a sailor." Faris smiled widely.

"As far as you." His father had run out of ways to make his son want to work in his office, not even fun with his hobby around the world.

"Oh yes one more. If you don't bring a wife soon, Papi will set you up with Papi's chosen girl."

"This matter let me fully handle it myself. I must've brought a good son-in-law to Papi and Mami."

"No, Papi and Mami have agreed to match you with Rima."

"What??? Rima???" Faris was shocked unmitigated and jumped from her seat. "Don't Pi. Papi will ruin my friendship with Rima."

"Yes, Papi will ruin it and turn it into a husband-and-wife relationship."

"No Pi, this is not true. Rima and I won't be able to love each other as husband and wife. We've known each other since childhood, where maybe I can consider her a wife after this. It doesn't make any sense." Faris's panicked.

"Perfect how. I won't be able to be with Rima. I have my own candidate, Pi."

"Those girls you're dating? The Papi don't know who they are, which family they are from and how. According to Papi, Rima is your best mate." Papi Faris is still insistent. Faris must enlist the help of her mother to win the debate with her Papi. Faris needs an ally.

"Mii... Mommy..." Faris headed to her mammary room, leaving her head-shaken Papi to see her son's overindulged behavior.

"Oh, so so." Sunday mangosteen seemed to understand the reason Faris. "Eh but it's true, you're a perfect match for Rima."

"You're this." Faris almost hit Sunday but didn't because he was bluffing. Sunday laughs.

I can laugh at this kid too. It's just getting adorable. Inner Faris.

"Sister Rima is beautiful. He looks good too. It'll be lucky whoever the guy gets." Puji Sunday's.

"He is beautiful and kind. Even if you meet him, you already know that. It is very appropriate to make her a wife. He's smart too. He is a good person and he is a person full of positive energy. Always appear confident. Yes, because he has all the skills and knowledge to behave and establish communication. You know, he's very respected at his place of work. He's the boss's favorite because he's very competent at his job." It was clearly Faris who seemed to know Rima very well.

"But since childhood I knew him because our parents were friends, making me think of him as a brother rather than a friend. I also never looked at her as a girl, not at all. He's just my best friend. Bestest friend. So it's impossible to get married all of a sudden because I never loved her as a woman." Faris shuddered himself imagining it.

"Did Rima's sister also know that you would be betrothed?"

"Yes..." Reply Faris lirih.

"Then what about her?"

"He's a filial son to his parents and does whatever his parents want."

"really? Well, he's that good."

"Yes, so he accepted this match because for him there is nothing more noble than filial piety to parents."

"Did she not have a boyfriend?"

"She could have even left her boyfriend if her parents wanted her to do that."

"Well, that's amazing. Rima is really cool. You're so stupid to refuse an arranged marriage with her. Women seem so rare to find in the present."

"I told you, I don't love her. I just think of him as my friend."

"Bas stupid." Gerrutu Sunday's.

"Then why suddenly ask me out? Why not just one of your girlfriends?" Sunday curious.

"Whose girlfriend? I don't have any. I admit they all want to be my girlfriends, but I don't want to be one of them." Still with his pouting face.

"Soky doing." Sunday sneering. "Why isn't Mery the one you introduced to your Mommy Papi? He's your newest girlfriend." Sunday curious. Didn't they look good at that time.

"Hey I told you I don't have a boyfriend, so that means Mery's not my boyfriend either."

"Not a girlfriend, Friend But Friendly?" Goda Sunday's.

"Ahh, whatever you say." Faris. Sunday even more wanted to tempt Faris saw him acting so jutek.

"Oh Sun, just pretend to be my girlfriend. That'sthat's all. It's easy."

"No, I don't want to pretend to be your boyfriend."

"Then just a real boyfriend." Faris. Very lazy Sunday saw the flickering of Faris so soon he turned his face.

"No way!" Decline Sunday.

"Then come on, be my pretended girlfriend."

"No, just another girl." Sunday firmly.

"You know, why did I choose you instead of one of the girls I used to walk with?" Sunday shakes.

"That's because you're still in college, while the girls are even working.

"Oh yeah? Mary?"

"Mary? He's the young doctor you know."

It was a true Sunday guess at that time.

"What does college and work have to do?" Sunday really did not understand this time.

"Of course if I'm dating a college kid, I won't be rushed into getting married. I can reason because my boyfriend is in college so we don't have to get married anytime soon."

"Ooo..." Sunday finally understood. Faris still looked at him.

"Sun, help me." Faris pleaded while welding.

"This is the only way to fight Papi so as not to match me to Rima or force me to get married."

Sunday is still thinking. One side he pityed Faris who looked very stressed. But on the other hand he was also reluctant to do the charade.

How'this? Should I help her? Or do I just ignore the ridiculous idea? Ahh, I don't know... Sunday breathed a rough breath.
