Miss of Sunday

Miss of Sunday
Princess Sultan, Boss Supervisor and Sailor

"Yes, I like you." Faris was still staring at Sunday.

"Likes you as a girl named Sunday. Who hates sailors all over the world." Faris paused for a moment to sigh heavily and exhaled slowly.

"You know, I'm confused as to how I can get into your heart. I've been trying to be closer to you for more than just friends. But it seems like you've built boundaries so I can never show you how I feel. Even to show a little attention to me, you always seem to reject it by thinking of it as a joke. So what came to mind then was this, asking you to pretend to be my girlfriend. I hope that way I can show you my attention." Faris was still staring straight at Sunday. Sunday still has nothing to say. He still gave Faris the opportunity to express everything he wanted to say.

"So just so you know, all my attention to you this whole time wasn't pretending. I really did it because I wanted to. I want to get close to you by pretending we're dating. I hope that you'll like me in the end too."

"You're a real playboy. You even thought of this way to get my attention." Sunday sneering.

"So, all this time this way must also be the one you use to get the hearts of the girls. You're really great. Genius." Sindir.

"If you think so, you're wrong. I told you I'm not as bad as you think. I just want to get your love. That's all."

"Then you use all means? You think all that's okay for you? You think I don't have the feeling that you're playing like this?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't think you'd get this angry."

"Don't expect this anger? You really don't think about me. Of course I'll be mad you made the object of your game."

"Don't call this a game, because I did all that with the sincerity of my heart."

"You even got me into a skit but you deny that this is just a game you've made for me."

"All right. all right. I obviously did it because I like you. I don't know how to approach you. All I thought about was that."

"I hate you..." Mumbles Sunday with teary eyes.

"Sunday.I'm sorry. I really didn't mean that."

Sunday left Faris at his place. He was too tired to argue with Faris. Faris still maintains that he can bring Sunday to the theatre for his own sake. He did not think about Sundya feeling lied to, feeling fooled and played at the same time.

Faris chased after Sunday who ran towards the door. Calling her repeatedly but Sunday ignored her. Her tears were breaking down and becoming more and more unstoppable. Getting outside the entrance, Faris managed to grab his hand. Suddenly Sunday stopped because Faris was arrested.

"I hope we don't meet again. It's a mistake I let you be my friend." Sunday removed Faris' hand and walked towards his bike. Faris was glued to her place. He realized that what he did hurt Sunday very much even though he did not mean it at first.

Faris was still staring at the Sunday that passed leaving the ice cream shop's courtyard. His guilt completely overpowered him. The girl he liked made him cry. Faris did not know how to calm Sunday from her anger. Sunday hated it.

Remember one afternoon on the boat when it finished work. Faris packed some of his work equipment that day.

"You, it seems, know my daughter." Said Mr. Subagio beside Faris who was still packing. Faris raised his head and looked at Pak Subagio who was looking towards the open sea in front of him. Faris put her last device into the box.

"I see you've been exchanging comments on my daughter's social media. You're very familiar with him?"

"Oh that's why we're friends, sir."

"Don't you mean to go near her?"

"Ahh, no sir. I'm just friends with him." Faris laughed widely covering her nervousness.

"I remember a man like you. Be friends at first but you'll be close for a long time."

"It's not so, sir. But I really want to be friends with him. She's your daughter, how dare I approach her more than just a friend."

"You know, he hates sailors."

"really?" Faris looked surprised. How could the daughter of a sailor hate a sailor.

"I left his mother to marry another woman. He thinks that sailors always do that to their partners." Subagio lowered his head. The usually friendly face of his supervisor now looks sad.

"I admit it was my fault and it shouldn't have anything to do with my work. But Sunday already thought that sailors always have a lot of time to cheat, so until now we have a bad relationship." Faris was still listening carefully to the story of his superior.

"Although not close to Sunday, I always find out about it. I also know that every time you come home you come to him." This time Pak Subagio stared intently at Faris. Faris.

"Oh. that's it. Yeah, we're friends so I don't think meeting a friend is a problem."

"But she's my daughter, so if you try to play her you'll die in my hands."

"Well, don't do it, boss. I'm a good man." Faris looked at her boss with a big smile and changed her call to Boss to be a little more familiar.

"Think again if you want to get close to my daughter. She's very special to me."

"Ready, Boss. But your daughter is so beautiful how can I not want to approach her." Faris joking.

"You're this, dying in my hands huh. Dare to mess with my daughter, I'll push you out to sea to be a shark's lunch."

"Haha... This boss is so funny. I dare to play with my own boss's daughter. Suicide is his name."

"So you like my daughter?"

"Are you able? I'm the only one whose father can't do that." Mr. Subagio underestimated.

"I'll try, boss. Boss take it easy."

"No, I won't give my daughter to be eaten by a land crocodile like you."

"This boss is so cruel to call me a land crocodile."

"Hey, you think I don't know your reputation. I've heard a lot about you. About your girlfriends."

"How does the boss know?" Faris was astonished and scratched his head which was not itchy

"You think it's because I'm old so I've never been in a club on the 5th floor?" Mr. Subagio grinned. Faris smiled wryly. Yeah, in that dugem place he's usually with the girls. Meet, chat anyway he is never alone and always find a girlfriend there.

"That's just a friend to chat with, boss."

"That's why my daughter is so valuable if you're just making friends."

"Do I have to marry her first so I can get permission to talk to her?"

"It's not that easy, young man. You think marrying her would be easy for you? You have to pass my daughter-in-law selection." Subagio laughed at Faris.

"Well, this is like marrying the daughter of a sultan."

"Of course, she is my precious daughter. I love him so much. To hurt her is to send you to hell."

"Boss, it's creepy." Faris chuckles.

"You already know. So, don't just go near my daughter let alone hurt her. Make good friends. My daughter is not easy to make friends with. So when he's friends with you, don't give him a bad impression."

"Good Boss." Faris. "Does this mean I could be more serious friends with him?"

"Don't expect." Then Subagio left Faris the manyun.

"Basasan mr. overprotective."

Before his return yesterday Faris also had time to talk again with Pak Subagio when saying goodbye. And because even though they are bosses and men, but Pak Subagio is a good boss so make his bottom comfortable and familiar too with him. The boss and crew restrictions are only valid during working hours. Beyond that, Mr. Subagio is always more relaxed with other employees, no matter it is his subordinates.

"Sir, I'll be home next week. Is there a safe for the princess?" Faris for Sunday.

"No, I won't make you have a reason to see him." Faris is grinning because the mode is easily read by Pak Subagio.

"Without that, I'm going to see him."

"Hey, you brat's insolent." Mr. Subagio looked at him sharply.

"Sir, let the young make love. Just calm down."

"I wouldn't stay silent if you messed with him."

"No way, sir. I'm sure of how I feel."

"What?" Mr. Subagio looked at Faris in surprise to see him with such a serious face.

"I like the Father's son."

"Is this a proposal?"

"Please take it that way."

"But Sunday is still in college. I don't want to marry her anytime soon."

"I want to approach your daughter well so I have to ask her father for permission first." Mr. Subagio did not expect the fussy Faris to suddenly ask him for permission to approach Sunday, his daughter. This gantleman ternayata Faris.

"You sure? I told you she's my precious daughter so anyone who makes her happy would appreciate it so much, but what makes her cry would get me a fair pay."

"Well, like this I feel like I'm approaching the daughter of a mob boss." Faris chuckled again.

"And again, since my daughter is very beautiful and many like her, you should be ready to be rejected by her. Especially if you are a sailor. I'm not sure you'll be able to get close to him easily."

"I take that as a challenge and motivation for me, sir." Faris said that with conviction. While Mr. Subagio only smiled wryly to Faris.

Faris looked at the dark afternoon sky. Sunday rejected it. Sunday hated it. The way Faris approached her made Sunday angry.

Faris walked up to the car, got into it. Not immediately running away but still sitting facing the steering wheel. Think about how Sunday can forgive him. Faris is getting more and more upset. Not afraid to be a shark snack as the Sunday father said at the time, but Faris was already very fond of the girl and really wanted to drop the heart just to him. Never had he liked a girl like Sunday. Faris let out a long breath and then exhaled slowly. After that start his car and take him away from the parking lot of the ice cream shop.
