Faris and Sunday walked hurriedly down the hospital corridor. Both faces panicked. How could Gina have acted so foolishly.
The sky tonight looks starry. The moon is shining bright enough. Faris and Sunday were eating breakfast at a stall not far from where they lived.
"Why about where to eat, you know so quickly." Faris stuffed the mouth into his mouth.
"You forgot I'm a culinary reporter?"
"Reporter? Not presenter?"
"No, I decided to act as a reporter only. Being a presenter can make me bother. You know my attractive face will definitely attract the attention of film producers and advertising agencies if it appears on tv." Said Sunday confident but indifferent.
"What are the different reporters and presenters? They were all in front of the camera. What is this anyway? You're so narcissistic. Since when are you narcissistic?"
"Since contracted from you."
"Tertular to me? Since when did the WHO establish narcissism to be an infectious disease? If I want to be narcissistic, I want to. But why is it that when you're narcissistic it gets from me?"
"Yes, since I've known you, I'm getting used to self-imposing. You are similar to a pandemic. Very dangerous and contagious."
"Am I a virus?" Faris grumbled again his rice.
"Yes, you're a virus." Say Sunday relax.
"Virus of love." Sunday whispered to Faris who was next to him. There was an amused sensation in Faris' ear because of the Sunday breath. Faris laughed a little. But then his face was red, blushing.
"Is your seducing ability also contracting from me?" Faris stared at the soft Sunday. Now changing the pounding Sunday is seen as such.
"It looks so." Sunday then turned his face so that Faris did not catch his arch face.
Amidst the action making each other blush, Faris' phone makes a sound.
"Yes Om. Whahuh? Whereabouts? All right, I'll be there." Faris looked tense as she received the phone call.
"Why?" Sunday this time like contracting tense also by Faris.
"Gina took a lot of sleeping pills and is now in the hospital. Om Rangga asked me to go there." Faris moved from her seat.
"I'm coming along." Faris looked at Sunday.
"I'll just be outside, I'm not going to go see Gina." Sunday seemed to know what Faris thought. He knows at times like this he doesn't want to be a problem. He doesn't know why Gina tried to kill herself, but as a friend he has a sense of caring for Gina and wants to know how she is.
Faris entered Gina's inpatient room. Sunday was waiting for him outside. Sit in a waiting chair. I really hope Gina is okay at the moment.
Faris finds Gina lying weak and fast asleep. His eyes still look swollen even though they are closed. It seems like he has finished crying. His face was pale and looked tired. After seeing the state of Gina who was sure to have passed her critical period a while later Faris came out of Gina's room. Sunday intended to approach but he expressed his intention because Faris was followed by a man behind him. Papa Gina's.
"I don't know what he's thinking. She's a strong girl. But back then she even cried when I said you couldn't marry her." Said Papa Gina in front of the door of the hospital room.
Sunday could hear Papa Gina's words because it was just a few steps away from where Faris and Papa Gina were talking. Faris glanced at Sunday who lowered his face to the floor. Faris knew Sunday heard the talk.
"If it's okay to be mean, I'll pretend I don't know you have someone you like and beg you to marry Gina. Can I do that?" Papa Gina looked at Faris with tears hanging from her eyes.
"My only daughter's daughter's daughter. I don't want to lose him. Think again. Don't you feel sorry for him. Only you can make her happy. She doesn't need us being her parents but it's even frustrating when you refuse to marry her. You're the one Gina expected." Papa Gina wiped away her tears. Mama Gina also heard their conversation and was still waiting for Gina who had not woken up from her sleep after getting medical treatment. Faris could say nothing but just clutching Papa Gina's hand while assuring that everything would be fine.
"I'll talk to Gina when she wakes up tomorrow."
"Please make him happy. I really hope for you." Papa Gina still rubbed her wet eyes again before she went back inside Gina's room. Faris turned her body to look at Sunday who was still sitting on the floor. Playing both of his legs like he was driving away anxiety. He approached the girl.
"It's all because of me." The Sunday sentence is more like a mutter with a soft face that is thick.
"Hey what do you mean?" Faris lirih. "You have nothing to do with this at all."
"Gina likes you so much but I took you away from her."
"You didn't take me from anyone. I like you, and so do you. We have had the same taste from the beginning. Gina just likes me without me being able to reciprocate. Then how can it be said that you took me from him? That's not true." Faris rubbed his wet Sunday cheeks by a drop of tears. It is undeniable Sunday indeed feels guilty. He knows Gina really likes Faris but for her own feelings Sunday ignores Gina's feelings.
"I'm going to find a way to keep Gina from doing anything stupid anymore. You just have to stay by my side. Don't do anything. Don't move away let alone go. Trust me all."
"Married him. Don't you want to get married too?" Sunday looked at Faris with a look that was somehow like thousands of needles piercing his heart. Faris knitted both of her eyebrows. Like thinking what the sentence was really Sunday said from his heart or because he felt guilty to Gina.
"I just want to marry you. That's why I'm asking you to get married. That way I thought there would be no match between me and Gina. Besides how could I marry her if I didn't feel any love for her at all. I just love you. Can you let me be tormented marrying a girl I don't like? Do you want to see me unhappy?" Sunday nodded slowly. True too, Faris also has the right to choose his own life path and not have to sacrifice anything. But what about Gina? What about the one who had fallen in love with Faris and felt unable to live without him? Sunday was still silent thinking about Gina.
"I will think of a way for Gina to understand my situation. So that she can accept that I only love her like her brother."
Sunday looked at Faris and looked for earnestness in his eyes. Faris smiled again.
"Let's go home. You have to work tomorrow." Faris got up from her seat and pulled Sunday's hand to get up too. Slowly Sunday stood up from his seat and followed Faris's steps leaving the hospital.
Their car drove across the highway. The air became cold because of the rain that had just flushed and left a drizzle. Sunday was still asleep when Faris' car arrived in front of his boarding house. Faris didn't want to wake up until Sunday's cell phone sounded in her jeans pocket. Slowly Sunday opened my eyes.
"Yes..." Sunday yawned while hearing a voice from his phone.
"Tomorrow I'll send to you, brother. Okay..." Then Sunday grabbed his phone after closing it first.
"Why did Victor call you last night?" It was seen that there was a dislike tone from Faris' voice.
"She just borrowed my final assignment program for her college eye reference."
"That must be just the reason to meet you. Can't he borrow from anyone else?"
"It doesn't seem like he's just asking that I send him by email."
"Then it means he just wants to hear your voice." Faris is getting sullen.
"Hey... jealous sir, why do you like to be jealous of me so much?" Goda Sunday's.
"Because you're my boyfriend, I'm jealous of you. It would be funny if I cheated on someone else's girlfriend. The lack of work is his name. Or if you're the one who cheated on someone else's girlfriend, it means you're ready to get 'lessons' from me." Sunday laughs.
"You're so funny, mr. taddy bear. I'm so fucking pummeled." Sunday pinched Faris' cheek. Faris then lowered his hand Sunday.
"Don't pinch my cheek, just kiss."
"Huh, I want tooooo." Sunday sneering. Faris became anxious.
"Then I kiss you." Faris then kissed the soft fingers of Sunday in his grasp. Sunday stiffened and looked at Faris timidly.
Faris's jealous and possessive nature makes Sunday convinced that the man loves her earnestly. Unlike his initial assessment that Faris was a man who diligently changed girls. The more here, the more you know Faris is not as playboy. He's a good guy.
"Come in..." Sunday nodded and opened the car door. After waving his hand, Sunday completely disappeared behind his boarding door. At that time Faris just rewind the car and put it into his garage. Entering her quiet home, Faris drops her body on the sofa. Thinking about how to make Gina rise again without her must always be beside Gina again. Because now he's with Sunday. The priority is Sunday, no longer another girl.
Faris closed his eyes hoping that there would be a solution to face Gina tomorrow.
