CHAPTER 8. Lily's Memories

The praaangggg!

The two hot cups fell onto the floor with the tray still in Lily's hands. The hot coffee hit Kimberly's leg.

"Aww.hot, hot" Kimberly then squatted on the floor taking off her shoes. "You're deliberately wearing me huh haahhh" Kimberly glared at Lily.

"Ma-I'm sorry Miss, I was completely unintentional" Lily trembled.

hearing the commotion from outside Leon came out of Edward's room.

"What's up Leon" asked Edward. When I saw Leon standing at the door.

"No idea, Sir. But in Pantry there's Lily and Kimberly. Looks like Kimberly's hurt" Leon said.

"I saw them first, Sir" Leon walked out of the room.

Kimberly fanned her feet in hot water, while Lily searched for P3K. He's looking for an ointment for burns.

"What's this?" ask Leon. Leon sees kimberly's red legs, while Lily is busy looking for P3K but does not meet.

"Sir Leon" Kimberly tried to stand as Leon approached them.

"My feet are spilling hot coffee sir. Lily didn't carefully carry the coffee, kept spilling on my leg Mr. Leon" Kimberly defended herself.

"Is that so Lily?" leon asked Lily who was standing a bit away from him.

"Bu-not Leon sir. I was making coffee for Mr. Edward and Mr. Leon. Suddenly Miss Kimberly comes to the Pantry. He took the coffee I made for Mr. Edward and Mr. Leon. I tried to keep the coffee I made sir.Because the tray is slippery, so it fell on Miss Kimberly's leg" Lily explained the incident in detail.

"Is the story really like that, Kimberly? Leon confirms Lily's story.

Kimberly quiet. He did not dare to speak, and he simply nodded forcefully.

"Lily, you clean up the shards of this cup, and Kimberly you're back in your room. Later let Lily deliver the ointment. If the wound is severe you go to the Hospital" Leon said with a flat face

Leon takes Kimberly to his study and sees Leon close to Kimberly, there is a sense of unwillingness in Lily's heart.

Lily then cleaned up the broken cups and the coffee marks on the floor. He made 2 cups of new coffee.

"Lily you'll give her to Kimberly" Leon gives the ointment for the burn on his return from Kimberly's room.

"Yes sir. Mr. Leon, I'm sorry. I wasn't stingy. Don't fire me sir. I beg you" Lily cupped her hands over her head, pleading with Leon.

"Why apologize to Lily. You don't have to apologize to me. The right to fire you is Mr. Edward not me" Leon said. Leon leaves Lily in the pantry.

A few minutes later, Lily walked into Edward's room carrying two cups of coffee.

"Here's the coffee, sir" Lily put the coffee on the table in front of Edward and Leon.

"I'm sorry, sir" Lily turned back.

"Where are you Lily?" Ask Edward.

"I want to give the wound medicine to Miss Kimberly, sir" Lily replied.

"Yes, after that come back here" said Edward.

"Well, sir" Lily left Edward's room.

Kimberly who felt the heat on her feet due to the coffee spill kept on feeding Lily. Lily who just came in was directly hit by Kimberly's nag.

"Lilly! you purposely tormented me huh, haahh" Kimberly snapped at Lily.

"I-I mean Miss Kimberly what? Lily answered nervously.

"You don't See. My feet are red and it feels so hot, but why did you just come here" Kimberly spoke in an emotional tone.

"I'm sorry Miss Kimberly. I have to make a new coffee for Mr. Edward and Mr. Leon. After that I just came here" Lily said.

Lily took the ointment medicine from her pocket, then gave it to Kimberly.

"I helped to apply the Ointment on Miss Kimberly's leg" Lily offered Kimberly some help.

"No, I can do it myself" Kimberli lowered his head and applied the ointment to one of his legs.

"Then, excuse Miss Kimberly" Lily said.

"Wait on! what exactly is your job here? why are you on the leadership floor? ask Kimberly. She was very curious as to why Lily was upstairs.

"As long as Mr. Edward is sick, I have the task of helping Mr. Edward, Miss Kimberly" Lily explains her work.

"What do you mean help? isn't there a Mr Leon who used to help Mr Edward? ask Kimberly.

"I have to take responsibility for my actions because I don't want to be fired"

"What's your answer?"

"I made Mr. Edward's hand wretched, so I have to take care of Mr. Edward until healed" Lily said.

"I'm sorry, Miss Kimberly" Lily then left Kimberly.

"Bad Lily, I'm done talking she just left" Kimberly murmured.

Edward and Leon are on a new assignment. Leon must get the information Edward needs.

"If you can you should get that information as soon as possible, Leon" said Edward.

"I'm going to do it right now" Leon sipped Lily's coffee.

"I feel like something's wrong with that guy" Edward said.

Tok .. tok .

"Get in" said Leon.

"Lilly. How Kimberly's feet" asked Leon.

"I've given you the ointment sir. It might be a little help to reduce the pain in Miss Kimberly's leg" Lily said.

"Thank you, Lily. Next time you have to be careful not to be careless in the pantry" said Leon.

"I'm going to my room. I'm going to give you some information soon" Leon got out of his seat, then left the CEO's office.

"Master don't fire me. I wasn't ready to get Miss Kimberly into a coffee spill" Lily said. Lily did not dare to look.

"It looks like you were born as a disaster woman. Only 2 days you become an employee here, has made 2 wretched people in this office" Edward tried to joke to Lily. Lily doesn't feel guilty every time she makes a mistake.

"What Master said is true, perhaps I am destined to bring disaster to those around me. Maybe that's why my uncle hates me too. Even my parents left me. What papa, my mama also hated me, so they left me alone without inviting me" Lily cried. He felt that what Edward said had a point.

Edward felt guilty when he saw Lily crying by bending her head. Intention to joke even makes the young girl blame herself for the death of her parents.

Feeling unbearable, Edward then approached Lily and hugged Lily with his uninjured hand.

"I'm sorry Lily, I didn't mean it that way. I'm just joking with you" Edward felt unbearable to Lily.

"No one, parents who hate their son Lily" Edward tries to calm Lily down.

Lily cried in Edward's arms. He remembered the death of his parents. Although Lily was a child at the time, she still remembered the details of the deaths of two people she cared about so much.
