CHAPTER 6. Lily's Story

'What did she do, why didn't she wear a bra. Don't be tempted Edward, he's still a kid' Edward's inward.

"Let's hurry, you prepare for Lily's night" Edward turned to the dinner table. "Okay sir" Lily followed Edward.

Lily puts typical German foods like Falscher Hase, Gulaschsuppe, and Apfelstrudel on a plate.

Falscher Hase is a food made from minced meat mixed with eggs, flour, and onions. Then the meat is served by sliced flat and seasoned sauce on it. It is very suitable to eat with potatoes like steak in general.

Gulaschsuppe is a thick soup, made from beef or pork as the main ingredient. The meat is cut rather large and served with bread. In Indonesia, it is almost the same as red soup.

Apfelstrudel is a great food for dessert, it tastes sweet. This round and soft-textured cake is made from apples. That said, apfelstrudel has long been found. So no wonder the whole German society must know this sweet cake.

Not to forget Lily also put 2 glasses of water on the table. After all, Lily called Edward who was sitting on the sofa watching TV.

"The food is ready" Lily said. Edward turned off the TV and walked to the dinner table. Edward frowned when he saw Lily just standing in front of him.

"Why do you just stand Lily, sit down we eat together" said Edward who was taking Falscher Hase put on the plate.

"No Sir. You eat first, then I will eat after you finish eating" said Lily.

"Why is that?" ask Edward. "I've been used to it since I was a little girl" Lily said.

"You mean how Lily. You always stand when everyone else is eating?" Edward put his spoon on the plate.

"Yes Master" nodded his head. "Yes already, now you're eating me. Now you sit down and enjoy dinner. Later after eating I want to hear a story about your life" said Edward.

Lily sat down in front of Edward. He was afraid that Edward would be angry if he did not obey his Master.

"Eat!! consider me your friend, don't hesitate. You work for me, I have to make sure whoever I work with has to meet his needs" Edward said.

Lily then took the food with trembling hands. Edward who saw Lily's hand tremble then asked.

"Why Lily?" Edward looked at Lily. "No sir, do I have no problem eating a table with Mr Edward? Lily asked in a trembling voice.

"Of course, why Lily?" ask Edward back. "I'm afraid to be considered presumptuous sir" said Lily.

"Just eat Lily, there's no need to think of anything no-no. I never mind if I have to eat 1 table with my employees"

Lily finally ate quietly. Lily and Edward were silent as they ate, there was no conversation between them.

"Lily, when you're done eating, please clean everything. I'm waiting for you on the couch. You have to tell me your life tonight" Edward walked into the lounge.

Lily cleaned up the leftovers on the table. Then wash the dishes. When he finished he met Edward on the couch.

"Sir, I'm done" Lily said

"Sit here Lily" Edward patted the empty sofa beside her. She told Lily to sit next to her.

"I'm sitting down, sir" Lily sat down on the carpet.

"LILY, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU. STAND UP!! Don't sit on the floor, it's dirty" Edward pulled Lily's hand to his feet.

Because Edward's right hand was ill, he lost his balance when he pulled Lily's hand to stand up.

Eee...Bruugh. They both fell to the couch. Lily is above Edward.

"Lily, stand!!"

"Sorry sir, I didn't intentionally"

Lily stood up and helped Edward to sit down.

"Sit down!!"

Lily sat down next to Edward. "Lily, from now on, don't sit on the floor again. If I eat, you should eat too. This is my house, so you have to follow the rules in my house.

"Good Sir"

"Now explain to me, why did you not want to eat 1 table with me?"

"I used to eat after my uncle, aunt and son ate, sir. I never eat with them. Sometimes when the food is gone I don't eat.

Uncle said, I just hitchhiked in their house, so I should know myself. Even though I was hungry, I had to endure my hunger until they finished eating.

I'm fine if I have to endure hunger, as long as uncle still wants to send me to school. I don't care if I don't eat all day as long as I'm allowed to go to school"

"Why did your uncle treat you like that?"

"I don't know, Sir. Maybe because I'm just his nephew, not his uncle's son.

"You're sitting on the floor because you're used to it?"

"Yes, Sir. I can't sit in a chair like you do now, sir. There are also many waiters who do not like me

"Is your uncle a rich man?"

"Yes, Sir. He works in the same company as my father, sir". Since my parents died, I have been with my uncle. He said he was the only guardian I had".

"What about your house? I mean your parents' house?"

"House was sold to my uncle, he said to pay my parents' debts. That's why I was invited to live with them"

"You don't have a aunt/uncle from your mama?

"I don't remember, Sir. When my parents died, I was 7 years old. All I remember was my uncle, because he came home a lot when my parents were alive. My uncle's son is also the same age as me, sir".

"How did you get out of your uncle's house? I heard that story from Leon"

"On that matter, because my uncle does not want me to continue college, sir. He said college was expensive. Though I really want to go to college, so that I can work in a famous company and get a big salary. Because I want to be independent, not want to stay with uncle. I finally ran away when they had lunch outside, sir.

"I ran away with the money that Aunt Sandra loved. He told me to leave uncle's house. He told me to pursue my goals until success"

"Who's Aunt Sandra?"

"Aunt Sandra was one of the servants at my uncle's house, but she was very kind. He's the one who always helps me and feeds me when I don't eat all day"

"It seems you're sleepy. You sleep there. I also want to sleep. Lily, never leave the house not wearing a bra, it's very dangerous"
