CHAPTER 3. Lunch

"Mr Eugenio" the middle-aged man greeted Edward. Edward was shocked when he greeted Peter White. A businessman who is famous for being sneaky among business people. The dirty way he would do when it came to money.

"Good day, Mr. Peter White" Edward said kindly. "It just so happens that we meet here Mr. Edward" Peter said.

"Ah yes, I happened to have a lunch appointment with my friend, Mr. Peter" replied Edward.

"Daddy hurry up here" a young girl's voice around age 22, calling Pieter from another table. Pieter dipped back, then nodded.

"Mr Edward, Mr. Leon please excuse me" Peter said goodbye to Edward and Leon. Peter then went to the table of the young girl who had called him.

"He still wants to work with our company Edward" Leon said. "Do you still have Mr. Peter's proposal for corporate cooperation? Edward asked Leon.

"I still have it in my office. I'll try to find the proposal again. You're interested in working with that cunning guy? ask Leon. Leon always selects which companies can cooperate with Edward's company.

Edward's company was very clean. Never been exposed to a case to threaten the good name of the company. Leon's role was very important in Edward's life. They complement each other as work partners or as friends.

The Flashback

Leon was deeply indebted to Edward's family. Leon is ridden off the street by his grandfather Edward. Edward's grandfather was having lunch outside with the driver.

While in the middle of the road, Grandpa Edward saw Leon was crying on the side of the road with shabby clothes and torn everywhere.

Seeing Leon's situation was very concerning, the grandfather told the driver to stop his car on the side of the road. Leon was only 7 years old.

Grandpa remembered his grandson, Edward. Edward and Leon are 2 years old. Edward is 2 years older Leon.

The grandfather approached Leon who was crying. "Why are you, son? where are your parents" Edward's grandfather asked Leon.

"Huuhuuu..."Leon was crying. "My mother is dead and my father kicked me out because there's a beautiful aunt at home" Leon told me with a mouthful.

hearing Leon's story, Edward's grandfather understood that Leon's father already had another woman. Maybe the woman didn't want Leon to be a burden on their lives.

"You want to go with grandpa? you also have a grandson your age. You can be friends" said Edward's grandfather stroking Leon's back.

Eventually Leon brought Grandpa Edward to the Edward family home. From then on, Leon's life was borne by Edward's family. Starting from clothes, food, school and college, all financed Edward's family.

Leon promised himself. That he would repay Edward's family by devoting himself to Edward's family.

Flashback Off

"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen, this is your order's meal" the waiter placed Edward, Leon and Ashley's orders on the table.

"Heeemmmm-fr...Yummy" Ashley smelled the smell of food in front of her.

"Please enjoy gentlemen and ladies, excuse me" the waiter left their table. "Can we eat now?" said Ashley holding a spoonful of soup.

"Let's eat" said Edward. The three of them enjoyed lunch comfortably and satiated. Edward forgot that his hands were sick.

"Can you eat Edward? Want me a bribe?" ask Ashley to worry. "You take it easy Ashley, I can still eat, even with my left hand" Edward said.

"Why can you get hurt like that, Edward?" ask Ashley curiously. "So morning there was an employee who cleaned the glass, maybe he slipped while going up the stairs, continued to fall. Coincidentally I passed, yes we both fell on the floor" Edward told me the incident his hand could be broken.

"That employee's so clumsy" Ashley sneered. "Didn't he know he broke his boss' hand" Ashley was upset.

"He's a new employee, and today he just started working. There is still a lot to learn" Leon said.

After Edward's meal, Leon and Ashley split up. Edward and Leon return to the Company, while Ashley does a photo shoot.

Ashley is a top model in Germany. Every day the schedule is tight. Ashley rarely met Edward. It just so happened that he was able to meet Edward and Leon at the Hospital, so Ashley could have a little kangen meeting with them.

Ashley is Edward's childhood friend. Ashley is also friends with Leon. Since Leon lived with Edward, Edward's friend was also Leon's friend. Because wherever Edward goes, there must be Leon. Except Edward himself told Leon not to come with him.

Upon arrival at Edward's office directly to his room, while Leon called Maria as the employee in charge of cleaning.

"Miss Mary, please come to my room" Leon said while in Mary's room.

"Yes, Leon" Maria followed Leon straight into Leon's room.

"Sir Leon meets with Mr. Kazuki wants his time to move forward, he has to return to Japan this afternoon. Now Mr. Kazuki's on his way" said Kimberly, Edward's secretary.

"Well then, I'll let Edward know that we have a meeting with Mr soon. Kazuki" said Leon.

"Mrs Maria, I'm sorry I have to go to a meeting soon. Later I will call Ms. Maria back, if the meeting is over" said Leon

"Well Mr. Leon, I'll just wait for Mr. Leon here. It just so happens that all the work is done" said Maria.

"Well then Miss Maria, I'll go first. Ma'am Maria can relax here" Leon then goes to Edward's room, telling him that the meeting will be late in the afternoon.

Geck...The tookk...Geckos

Leon knocked on Edward's door. "Get in" Edward's voice from the inside let Leon into his room.

"What's up, Leon? isn't the meeting still late afternoon? edward closed his laptop.

"Meeting with Mr. Kazuki, advanced now Edward. Kimberly told me that Mr. Kazuki was already on his way to the office. He will return to Japan later in the afternoon" Leon explained Mr. Kazuki hastened their meeting time.

"You have prepared a contract of cooperation with Mr. Leon Kazuki?" ask Edward.

"We have to propose cooperation as we agreed last week" said Leon.

"Yes, we go straight to the meeting room" Edward then stood up from his great chair, Leon tidied up the files they would bring in this meeting.

About 1 hour of the meeting was over. Leon meets Miss Maria who is waiting in front of his room.

"Sorry, Miss Mary waited a long time. Let's just talk in my room, Miss Mary" Leon opened the door and let Miss Mary in.

"Please sit ma'am" Leon invited Maria to sit on the sofa. " Thank you, Mr. Leon" Maria sat in front of Leon.

"What did Mr Leon call me? Was there a mistake I made sir? Mary asked a little scared.

"Ah no Miss Maria. I just want to know about the CV of a new employee who works today I did not find the CV of the new employee in the HR division" Leon said.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Leon. Lily entered the job not from the official selection of the company. I asked him to work here, Mr. Leon. It just so happened that one employee was cleaning out, so the work was not completed in time" Maria explained the situation.

" Where did Miss Maria meet Lily? ask Leon seriously. Because he doesn't want to hire obscure employees. Leon did not want to take the risk if Edward later wretched, because of his carelessness.
