CHAPTER 12. Edward's Sadness

"Good day, Mr. Pieter White. I'm sorry I'm late" Edward said hello to a man named Pieter.

"Good day, Mr. Edward. No problem, sir" said Peter.

Peter stood up and shook Edward and Leon to do a handshake, as a sign of respect.

"Please sit Mr. Edward, Mr. Leon" Peter invited them to sit down.

"How about we have lunch first, then we just discussed the issue of our cooperation. What do you think, Mr Edward?" Peter asked Edward for his consent.

"Can. That's not a bad idea Mr. Peter" Edward said.

"Servant" Peter called the waiter of the restaurant.

The waiter, called Peter, walks toward Peter's desk.

"Please sir, what message would you like?" the waiter gives the menu book to Peter, Edward, Leon and Peter's secretary.

They choose the food and drink they will eat for lunch.

Meanwhile, the woman next to Peter kept watching Edward.

'Mr. Edward is very handsome. It is fitting that many women are crazy about him and willing to sleep with him' the inner woman.

"Bella, Bella, what do you want to eat?" Peter asked his secretary.

Bella is fascinated by Edward's good looks, as Peter calls his name many times.

"I-iya sir. What did Peter say?" Bella was nervous as Peter stared intently at Bella.

"What did you order to eat?" Peter pressed his voice so as not to look angry in front of Edward and Leon.

A friendly and polite attitude should be shown Peter to Edward, so that Peter gets an injection of funds from Edward's company.

Only Edward's company can he rely on. Because Edward's company has always been stable in terms of Finance.

Peter does not want to lose his cooperation with Edward, because this cooperation is the only way to save the company from bankruptcy.

Lunch was going normally. There was no talk as long as they ate, only the sound of the clanking of spoons from their plates.

"I've read the letter of cooperation you sent through your secretary a few weeks ago. I agree with your offer of cooperation, Mr. Peter" Edward said.

"Next week I invite you to come to the Amaris Hotel at 7 p.m. For the inauguration of our corporate cooperation, Mr. Peter" said Edward.

"Okay, Mr. Edward I'll be there on time" Peter said.

"I'll excuse you, Mr. Peter. I still have business" Edward stood up and shook Peter's hand.

Leon did the same. Leon shook Peter's hand.

"Dear your secretary, if you don't want her to blow away from you" Edward whispered in Peter's ear.

Edward actually knew that Peter's secretary was watching him. Edward had other plans to use the woman named Bella.

Edward and Leon leave Peter and his secretary. Edward had a new plan after meeting Peter today.

"What's the boss' next plan?" Leon asked as they got into the car.

"We'll finish one by one Leon. I'll take care of the transfer of the company on Lily's behalf first. After that, I will finish my own business" Edward clenched his hands, while his eyes looked forward with anger.

"But in the custody agreement Lily must be 20 years old Sir, while Lily's age of 2 months is only 19 years old" there is still 1 year the company belongs to Lily" said Leon.

"You forgot Leon, if there's an exception to that custody letter. If we can take advantage of that exemption, then Lily will get her rights soon. It's not that men don't know themselves" Edward smiled smirk at Leon.

"Oh yes boss I forgot, and we've got an ace that's boss. So just one step away from our plan to succeed boss" Leon laughed happily.

"Don't be happy first Leon. That guy is very crafty. He can do everything he can to get that ambition. Even he did not hesitate to kill people's lives" Edward teary eyes, considering the accident of his parents.

"I understand boss. We'll be careful with that guy. I'll always be with you boss" Leon rubbed Edward's shoulder to calm him down.

"Let's go back to Leon's office. There's still so much more to do going forward" Edward gave Leon the order.

Along the way Edward remembered his parents. Edward's family was very happy. There was an accident that resulted in the death of both parents.

Edward's life changed. Edward became a poor boy and loved to be alone. Until finally, Gabriel took Leon to the main house. They are finally friends until now.

"Our boss has arrived" Leon slowed down his voice.

Leon sees Edward shedding tears, as he turns to Edward. Leon knew his boss must have remembered his parents.

Leon just stayed in the car. He dared not say anything. Leon could feel what Edward was feeling. Because she also lost a mother.

"Leon we're going to my parents' grave"

"Good, Master"

Leon starts the engine and exits the yard to Eugenio's family funeral.

Leon stopped by the roadside near the tomb to buy flowers to be brought to the tomb.

After arriving at the family funeral. Edward got out of the car and brought the bundle that Leon had bought.

"Leon you go back to the office. I'm gonna stay here a little longer. If there is an important job you handle first" Edward then close the car door.

Leon hasn't spoken yet. Edward stepped towards the final resting place of his parents.

for years Edward blamed Gabriel for the deaths of his parents. Until he finally found out the truth of the cause of death of his parents from Gabriel a few days ago.

"Mom, Papa Edward came to pick you up. Mama, papa how are you today? Edward kangen ma, pa hikss.hikss" Edward cries in the vortex of his parents.

Edward poured out all feelings of longing over the vortex of his parents. Tears were relentlessly dripping from both of his eyes. Edward felt a deep longing for his parents.

Until Edward did not feel asleep on the grave of his parents. When he woke up it was dark there were only lighting lights around the tomb.

"Mom, Papa Edward comes home first. Edward is back tomorrow. Restui Edward, so that Edward can punish the people who have separated us. I promise he will avenge what he has done to our family" Edward clenched his hands, his eyes filled with anger.

Edward kissed his mother and father's headstone in turn before he left the tomb

"Bye .... Mama, papa" Edward waved his hand at the graves of his parents. He walked off the highway looking for a taxi.

Leon panicked because his master did not return to the office. The day is getting darker too. Finally Leon returned to the grave to clap his Master.

When he arrived at Leon's grave he did not find Edward. He only saw the flowers he had bought earlier. Leon was getting anxious and panicked.

Leon inserts the entire path of the tomb by car but does not find Edward.

"Where are you boss?" Leon was more worried. He took a flat object from his pocket and pressed the green button after finding Edward's name.

The number you are calling is inactive. "Why the number is also off" Leon hit the steering wheel in front of him.

Leon tried to call Lily. The first ring is lifted immediately. Lily was happy when she saw the name on her phone screen.

[Hallo, Mr. Leon]

[Cats, Lily. Has Mr. Edward gone home]

[Not yet, sir. Mr. Edward is not with Mr. Leon]

[No. Lily'll call me when Mr. Edward gets home]

[Yes sir]

[Thank you Lily]

tut ... tut .

Leon hung up. "Where else should I look. You can't go back to the big master's house" Leon thought about where Edward had gone.
